it's so concerning how in so many of these cases someone hears something very clearly out of the ordinary and just goes about their day not even a simple police call so they can check it out is mind boggling
i often think about the kitty genovese case, she was brutally stabbed in broad daylight on the sidewalk and there were like 30 something witnesses through the whole thing and not one of them called the police or did anything, they all just stood there watching, maybe thinking someone else would do something idk but as a culture in general we're taught to mind our business around domestic violence, this infuriates me; if i'm not mistaken (i sometimes get different true crime cases scrambled in my memory) i've heard a 911 call recording from this case but the person calling (i think) was the resident of the house where the murder was happening in front of, and it took a while for that call to happen, kitty was almost decapitated, just brutal
I feel like these judges who let people off this easily deserve to be punished or stripped of their position or held as equally accountable. Sooo scary and outrageous
A lot of cases for repeat offenders are not allowed to be included in trials. These people can repeat the same crime over & over, but those past crimes are not allowed to be included when being tried. A shame, because obviously repeat offenders will continue to commit these crimes the moment they get the chance.
"him voluntarily letting her go should be taken into consideration" SIR His CRIMINAL HISTORY should be taken into consideration. Insane how rape was and isn't taken seriously
Whenever someone gets a really low sentence for something as horrible as rape, it makes me wonder if the judges who made the decision were secretly committing the same crimes.
@@Sophie-cz4ggThat should matter when it comes to conviction, not their sentencing. If they're charged with a crime the evidence should be quite enough and they should face the consequences, if I've understood law correctly.

I agree the poor sweet dog:( but I disagree about your statement on animals, they most definitely know how evil human beings can be. Look at what humans do to them, what these innocent animals experience in slaughterhouses and all the abuse inflicted on them. I think animals know how evil humans are more so than humans, as they experience the ultimate evil from humans.
I've heard a lot of cases described as "frustrating," but I think this one takes the cake. The amount of times he was convicted of heinous crimes, many of them which he committed basically immediately after he was released or "reformed," should have shown that he could never be fixed. The system failed these poor women
I listened to what happened to Lorraine Wilson and Wendy Evans awhile back. I think there is a tier of similar travesty that these cases are all on. Like you're just going "i cannot believe they just did that" the entire time. In the other case, these young wm begged for help and bystanders were like "ew no don't get me involved." Like you literally can't believe people can act like this
It’s sad that the “bystander effect” happens over and over again. I can understand not personally going to look, but not calling the police is not cool. This story makes my skin crawl. Terrible people doing terrible things. May all the victims Rest In Beautiful Peace. Great work, Bella!
why is no one talking about how INSANE it is for grace to get married to a freaking serial rapist and then having sex with him and calling that a mother/son relationship????? she should've gone to therapy fr omg WHAT?!?!
This story was sooo detailed and thoroughly researched- wow! I was so impressed. Thanks for everything you do for us and your channel. What a horrific man.
Omg!! Bella! So my mum & dad owned a costume shop along Sydney road till 2003. Peter dupass was a regular customer/walk in and my parents took pity on him because they thought he was awkward and lonely. He even held my sister when she was born! After he was arrested, apparently my dad said the police came in to ask questions about him because something led them back to the shop. Dad never told us what it was about.
Loving the new microphone! i do love the little birds and the pup noises in the background of course, always! But it's really nice as a headphone listener to hear your voice so crisp like this! I noticed immediately. Love your videos and how informative yet down to earth and friendly you continue to be. Thanks for kicking ass and helping to share the raw truth.
Obviously this guy was going to do it again and again and they still let him out. I believe the judge should be held accountable for their actions to let this happen again and again. Insanity
I'll never understand why in so many of these stories people just ignore screams for help, like you could literally save someone's life by calling it in!!
i talk and think so fast always, and i watch every. single. video i ever watch in 2x speed because normal speed is painfully slow to process BUT this is the only channel i ever watch and ENJOY at normal speed because i have to savour the mystery mondayssss
i have watched so many of your crime videos, i have never cried. i started sobbing when you read therapists nieces note. It is sickening how easily these horrific crimes against women were overlooked, he was just able to do it over and over.
I was around at the time that this happened. But because I was too young I did not understand the impact of this case. But now I am old enough, I now understand that this was MASSIVE. How could any judge let this extremely dangerous man out on the street, so he can have the oppotunity to terrorise so many people? Those judges should have known better that Peter was an EXTREME danger to society and they should have given him a harsher punishment for the amount of horrific crimes he committed. This is such a sickening case and it infuriates me that Australia's justice system is totally broken. They are giving dangerous criminals a slap on the wrist and people that have committed a mistemeaonir a harsher punishment which is as blind and hypocritical as ever. Those judges need to wake the fuck up and pull their heads out of their asses and do their job properly instead of making excuses for these dangerous criminals.

What a crazy case. He should have been locked away forever the first time. Whoever decided 5 years should be the punishment was probably a man. A lot of things need to change for the safety of communities. Your mic sounds awesome! I actually like the lower lighting when it got darker. It looks cozy. Thanks for your time you put in on these videos.❤
Bella, I really love your content and the way you tell stories, it’s like talking to a friend. I was waiting for weeks for your new video, and it’s an amazing video as always, however, I’ve noticed that all true crime TH-camrs are leaning into harder and worse cases, and I don’t know if that’s because it attracts more viewers or what, but I feel like there are also some of us who are interested in mistery and the story, but things like things are just too hard to hear about. Obviously, we might be just many less than the people who want to hear about awful people, but I’d just like to ask you to remember the ones who are more interested in a crazy story more than something more gore or hard to hear about. Obviously, it’s your content, and I will happily continue watching your videos (maybe not this one or the last one) but hopefully the ones to come. Thank you for your amazing channel 😊
If theres one thing true crime videos have taught me, is that so many of these murders could have and should have been prevented. Judges letting consistently violent men out only to act surprised when they murder women. Then the amount of people in small towns who hear blood curdling screams and do absolutely nothing is just horrific.
i agree with others. how can you hear progressively weakening screams & not think you should look into it?? you’ve basically described the sound of someone dying but didn’t think to do a thing about it until way afterwards
I agree with you on concurrent sentences. What's the point in sentencing someone to several different periods of time to be served for crimes and then just using one of them for the actual incarceration? There's no actual punishment occurring for several of those crimes, there's really only one being punished and the rest are brushed aside. If for example you get a sentence of 5 years for one thing, 10 for another and 5 for another, you should be serving 20 years, not 10. Where the hell is the sense in these sentences.
Has anyone seen the story of Dolly Ann Hershberger, 21? Would you please cover this story? I think the stepmom has been released. She is a monster that should have never been released.
I can’t explain how bad i feel for the victims and especially for the mother. Everyone would be in so much fear but as soon as you are a mother, the fear she must have had because of the 18 month old toddler must be enormous.
The murder of Pauline Pusser, the wife of former Tennessee Sheriff Buford Pusser, is an unsolved case from 1967. I love your videos please review this one!!!!! Fascinating, there is even a movie based on her husband.
A bit unrelated but that picture of Peter with his shirt off makes me wonder if he has Klinefelter’s syndrome, or XXY chromosomes. It would explain his developed breast tissue (gynecomastia), his slim shoulders, and his “feminine” body fat distribution. Which would also mean he has small …gonads. Bet that really compounded his insecurities. Not that this excuses his disgusting behaviour at all, of course. There are some studies that discuss a higher rate of psychosocial issues and “sexually deviant” behaviour in people with KS, but some argue that it’s more to do with the hypogonadism (small p*nis) than the syndrome itself. But I do wonder if, say he does indeed have the syndrome and had been diagnosed and treated, if perhaps a diagnosis and appropriate treatment could have prevented some of this.
They caught him so many times and they knew him and his past and yet he’s always released early. This is very calling of our criminal justice system. What were they thinking?
