Me and a few friends snuck into Jefferson Starships hotel room after they played at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Md. in 1985. We were escorted out by Graces bodyguard. I have always loved Grace Slick for her humor and honesty.....and she had one of the BEST voices in rock history....and with all of that, her art work is stunning. I have her book, that great sense of humor in every page....a true original : )))))))
Great segment Grace Slick is legendary
What a woman!! I fell in love with her in 1966 when I was a wee 10-year-old lass! Ben Fong-Torres commented on her performing: "It was like watching Elizabeth Taylor playing bass!" She was young, beautiful, witty, sharp, entertaining, and had a set of pipes that no one will ever match. She is truly one of a kind!
Grace Slick, an original and a great artist in several respects. And also pragmatic
and philosophical. Much respect to her originality in her various life stages
Still love your music. Thanks so much for sharing. ♡ from texas
Grace has always had an awesome mind with a beautiful soul.
The artwork is as great as the singing which isn't easy to match. I really enjoy the sense of humor in this interview and the wisdom. Her portraits of other musicians do more than represent them, they enhance the understanding.
She's such a realist. I love it.
Exactly!..so many people don't like realists, I know because I am one
Wow, She still the same, Just a little older. I always loved her. Kool she was with Janis Joplin my other favorite singer. Nice paintings. Liked the interview. Thanks :D
I sat at her feet in 1969 in the park in Chicago. I was just short of 16. Now I see her and she is totally funny. She cracks me up. Smart woman.
You were and still are the love of this young guy's life even though I'm old as hell now.
Her art is awesome. I'm sure she has lots of great stories of back in the day!
She probably wouldn't want to talk about it. I don't like living in the past.
Wow, I could look listen to her all day. And what a great artist 😳!
I'm 64 and I still love this chick!!!
that was awsome .seen her in concert in the 70s killer concert .
The enchnting timeless one & only amazing Grace 💕
Me and a few friends snuck into Jefferson Starships hotel room after they played at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Md. in 1985. We were escorted out by Graces bodyguard. On the elevator, I remember her bodyguard, a very large woman, saying to us “kick ass show, wasn’t it?”.
I will always remember the look on their faces as 3 teenagers were trying to crash their hotel room!
If I ever had the opportunity to buy Grace a coffee, and sit with her for a few minutes, I would be honored! I’m out in California a few times each year visiting my son and my grandkids. So, it could happen!
Wow, Grace has always been crazy and incredibly talented. I had no idea that she was such a great artist. (Painter)
Such a beautiful woman with a vast amount of knowledge based on her experience.
Expressly love her ability to broadcast her view to canvas with strokes of her and her perception.
Just to view the painting of Janice with a smile on her face makes me happy.
To no I can continue to smile about someone's happiness prior to their demise leads me to investigate what could have possibly brought about the death of such a beautiful smile.
Thank you very much for sharing this!
It's not about finding a treatment and making money, it is about finding out how we can prevent the disease and save a soul. 🤔
