Everything Hürrem said went over everyone's head. She wasn't disappointed in having a daughter,at this time, everyone in the palace was smug about the fact that the Sultan was angry at Hürrem or punishing her to say,she was under a lot of pressure. Hürrem did love Süleyman, there's no way she could've faked it but she was also a smart woman, she understood the dynamics of survival and she knew her power and influence as a woman. She did what no woman was capable of doing, she survived. She fought her own wars. She wasn't mad that Mihrimah was a girl, she realised how hard it is as a woman in that world that's why she says,"You're not important if you're not a man" In fact it shows how much she loves her daughter, she doesn't want her to face the harsh realities that were forced on to women back then. Even throughout the series(I've watched this 100x😐🤣) you can see how much she loves Mihrimah. She gives her tough love but you can tell how much she cares about her daughter. That's why Mihrimah was the only Hanım Sultan or born Sultana who was part of the sultanate of women and why most of the women around Hurrem were so influential. From her daughter to her daughter in law,Nurbanu and to her granddaughters. People villianise Hurrem but she represents the maternal instinct so well, she's possessive of her love and protective of the ones she loves.
To be honest though, even if Hurrem thought the sultan would be disappointed about mihrimah it actually makes more sense that Sulleyman would dote on Mihrimah more, in their context although a daughter doesn't really further HUrrem's position, the way the sultan probably sees it is that amongst his many sons (whom he loves ofc), he can dote on his sons while they are young and adorable but they may one day rise to a position in which they can challenge is authority or even forcibly take the throne from him so even if he loves them he will still eventually have to be on guard, as well as the fact that his favour for one son too much can spark rivalry amongst his other sons, but since his adorable daughter although she is strong, could never take the throne from him Suleyman is essentially free to dote on her and spoil her as much as he wishes and in an emotional sense it works out better for hurrem and she will always have a child that Suleyman can love unconditionally

I mean, it was extremely rude of her to deny her daughter, however, if mahi had a girl, she'd do the same thing, deny her own daughter, that's just what women thought back then
It was cruel but after the pain subsided hurrem held her daughter and made a promise to her and kept her promise until the end. Even when she was in the clutches of the devil she kept her daughter interest in heart. She went to Bali bey before allowing Mihrimah to marry Rustem because had he said her loved Marimah should've denied rustem and granted Bali Bey and Mihrimah to marry.
Suleiman looks so cool at the ending cliffhanger...how he waits and stares Ibrahim down. Shushes him...waits again...and gives his answer. I would lose my bowels if I were Ibrahim😂
Hatice and Ibrahim are seriously indecisive lovers, they’ve spent the past ten episodes mooching and moping at each other. I wonder poor Hatice hasn’t got face-ache from sustaining that anguished expression. Their relationship consists of long, meaningful looks with no action other than soppy poems and rather tame little love-tokens. They are like moonstruck teenagers. They contrast strongly against the personalities of Hurrem and Suleiman, who are bold, forthright and decisive. Suleiman and Hurrem have gone down in history for their magnificent achievements. I first heard of Suleiman the Magnificent when I visited Jerusalem in 2017 and admired the beautifully-constructed walls of the Holy City, which he had built half a millennium ago, and which are still looking terrific today. As for Hurrem Sultan, I’ve seen numerous biographical videos on her, especially History Tea-time with Lindsay Holliday, all of which testify to her exceptional abilities and character, she is one of the great women of history.
You need to understand that ibrahim can get killed for trying anything with the sultans sister. He can’t just go for it. His position in the government isn’t even high enough

But sons while treasured, were 'targets'...they could be executed by their own fathers and brothers (and uncles)...while daughters had a tad more longevity as they could be used as political pawns by their parents. Plus, I bet Hurrem's paranoia (thinking they stole her son and switched the baby) was only heightened due to PPD. Yes, I'm aware they don't talk about PPD then or in the show, but it's real.
My, Hurrem is awfully dramatic in labor. Haha.
True, because they are easier and faster with subsequent births
@@deborahdean8867 that’s false, sometimes they become easier, but it absolutely can get worst instead of easier
@@cici_tlb4009 it can, but NORMALLY each birth gets faster in terms of time. Much faster.
@@deborahdean8867 there is no normally. Every birth is different.
@@cici_tlb4009 lol. Yes there is a 'normal' even though every birth is different. If there wasnt a normal, biology couldn't survive. It's what doctors and everyone else goes on. There is a 'normal' to everything.
Hatice is the example of why these systems of guilt are so poisonous, certainly never the way to direct one's life, savrifice --which is self mutilation using someone or something else as an excuse --instead of Choice owned and followed, which, of course, is the only true way to live one's lie, and certainly the only honest path-
I think it's funny that Hurrem wears a padded pushup bra in those low cut dresses. No other woman lets her chest hang out like that.
The tutor had TB.
Rewatching for Nigar Kalfa.
Ikr she’s so sweet
Ibrahim the snake..hurrem was right.
waiting for hurrem’s personality improvement because honestly I hate how she acts so far! so childish and immature. I said what I said 🤷🏻♀️
It was not like now girls dident have any values you saw how overjoyed Mahideran was she had her precius Mustafa the crown prince
l am with you there l began to unlike her when it comes to illtrearing her only friend Gunihal who was always by her side always
Well done Suleiman to Ibrahim agha
amazing.
I'm your fan.
Again so much for religious tolerance.
You commented this twice give it a rest
Who was this Sultan Murat in this episode? Suleymans cousin or?
Suleiman's cousin. His uncle was taken by that country and therefore the uncle's children were raised there. In a previous episode, Suleiman spoke of rescuing his family members from this country
He was Suleiman’s grandfather
Okay, i don't know about the show. The hurrem in the show is very immature. The women of the harem were elegant. And hurrem stood out the most for being mature. Im sure the real hurrem loved her children that includes Mihrima. Which mother would hate their child? The hurrem in history was not like this.
Mihrimah was very powerful, she inherited it from her mother Hurem sultan
i hate this movie they discremanate praying for the cross😭😭😭
This is based off the actual history of the Ottoman Empire. So it would be completely accurate. Besides the let's them keep practicing their religion despite how he feels about it later on thw the series. You have to actually watch the whole thing.
It is because she is a Muslim..if she is a Christian,,then it doesn't mind
Sultana not hatun
I dont like hurrem now, shes become wild at power, to the point that she won't recognize her daughter just because it is not girl
She does come to her senses about her daughter and her daughter eventually become a powerful influence on the Ottoman empire. She would be ruler if it wasn't for traditions at that time
Watching again- guilfam sneaking notes to ibraham; , her, ibraham and hatice hiding this from majesty- haice engaged- ibraham lying to majesty. Moving ahead in regards to mustaf engage to Aybge and Bali Bay almost beheaded because of feeling for Aybge before engaged-
Hurrem is really crazy 😊
hurrem obsesed to suleyman only even she dont want her daughter
Impopular opinion but I do NOT like Hurrem. At all. Childish and cruel.
And you think your precius Mahideran would have jumped of joy if Mustafa had been a girl
So writers have ibram meeting secretly with a engaged Hatice - shame
I like watching Hurrem, she is such a peasant.
But she improves nicely
💕Gulfem Sultana💕

I dont understand why people are on hurrem's side
She's just as bad as all them others.
It so irritating
because she dares what they don't. they see her as a gate of freedom. refusing to stay in prison. because she fights for her destiny.. and doesn't care what others think of it. Shes her own slave. she serves her own dreams.
Maybe if you saw how Mahideran and the others treated her they started it
I wonder how u hate her !we do love much
Da women's are always fighting because they don't have work or anything to do😂😂just thinking about gossiping
