@@StreetRodAZ New Zealand in the lower south island so it's winter here. I'm hanging for summer. I still get out for a ride each week but by the time I finish I'm numb from the cold.
@@StreetRodAZ Yeah I'm not that far south but I'm close, I'm in Dunedin. I'm just waiting for it to warm up a little so I can do the ride up to Middlemarch from Dunedin. It's a beautiful stretch of road with very little traffic but right now it's either covered in ice or grit and I'm very much still a novice on a bike so I'm going to hold off a month or two. This also gives me time to buy a gopro and new helmet so I can try out the motorvlog stuff too. The scenery here in NZ alone will hopefully make up for my crap banter haha
Hey this is a late reply to your video. but question about the con you have with the fairing, which is reaching to the ignition. If you didn't have the gauge relocation kit, moving it to the side, would the ignition be even worse or impossible to get to? i want the fairing, but not the relocation. I am hoping that i wont have to buy both.
Thanks. I got the paint codes from Yamaha and my local shop, Bloody Knuckles Motorcycles was able to get the factory paint and match the line spacing exactly.
Cool windscreen. Your bike's color looks like those Formula 1 indy race car from back in the day. I liked it so much after years of searching for the bike I like, I ended getting one a few weeks ago. Does your phone mount come as a kit or different piece parts put together?
Thanks GS. You should join us on the XSR 7 Riders group on FB. Link in vid description. The mount is a RAM XGrip. Comes as one piece, but you can take it apart if needed. Ride safe.
Did you notice an increase of the wind pressure on your head with the fairing vs. no fairing? I'm a bit concerned about all the airflow going straight to my helmet and having to put more resistance in my neck. Did you feel any such impact?
@SilentVulpes It definitely directs the wind up to the helmet, but my Shoei RF-1200 is very wind friendly and my neck doesn't get fatigued. I can ride comfortably in an upright position up until about 105mph, then it's in a tuck from there. I was full tuck at 130mph and felt no wind pressure on my helmet. Hope this helps you. Ride safe.
If I am honest due to the bad weather I haven’t given it a proper test, but my short ride I noticed wind on the top of my chest. It looks cool though and I didn’t get it expecting proper weather protection.
It's not wide enough. I mocked it up and it looked really weird.

it should come factory like this, is beautifull discrete and functional, if you could add and small trasparent movable windscreen for long rides i would be perfect
That's an interesting idea. I might have to try and fabricate one. Thx for watching Andres. Ride safe.

@@StreetRodAZ if you do please post it, i am planning on getting this bike in the 2020 version, and also using that windscreen, i was also planning on looking into a way of putting that kind of movable windscreen. I have seen some that can be clamped or screw into a windscreen, and then rise or lower with a rail system, but i dont know if it could be adapted to this one in particular, i would have to try.
Thank you for the review. I have just ordered one for my Kawasaki Z900RS.
Awesome. Hope it works out for you.
Damn I wish it was that warm where I live. The fairing looks great on the bike.
@Helis7 where you located?

@@Helis7 It's definitely cold there. i spent a week in Invercargill and overnight in Bluff. froze my ass off.

Don’t think so because the relo bracket moves the speedo up. You’d probably be ok
Looks factory 👌

@ You can count on it! :-)
Also keeps the crap of your ignition switch 👍
Ahh yes. Another benefit. :)
