    Apologies if I've missed it in a previous vid, but it would be good to see a build with one or more walls built to a boundary edge (with the exterior cladding attached prior to the wall being erected)

    Just wanted to say thank you dude, for all of the videos. I’ve been building a garage, and happened to use almost none of the techniques you guys use (concrete slab, SIP walls, cold roof) but whenever I’ve needed to know something or needed a tip or how-to you’ve got a video for it. The Facebook group is super helpful too!
    Thanks so much. Where can I send beer too?

    Don't you need a meter from each border or planning permission is required?

    • @jp6975
      @jp6975 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Within a metre there are Permitted Development rules that must be followed where you don't need planning permission. They seem to be the same country-wide but there might be some variations.
      For instance, I'm building 50cm from a boundary. 7m x 3m so it has to be primarily non-combustible materials due to the footprint area. I'm therefore building with blockwork. If it was 2.5m high then all good for Permitted Development. However, I'm doing a warm roof and I want 2.4m internal headroom so height is 2.8m... so I need planning.
      I've been through pre-plannimg with the Council and the above is exactly what they told me... in writing.
