Due to lung disease May 2023 I went from about 24 inches up to a shaved head. This disease was already taking my long blond hair, so I decided to just go for it. Stylist said I donated enough to make 2 wigs for kids. Which made my choose a lot better to handle.

I wish I had taken the opportunity at the start of covid to just buzz mine off. idk if anyone here watches chadchad (awesome commentary youtuber) but she shaved her head a couple years back just because her friend said every woman has to shave their head at least once in her life, so she just went for it and bought some fun wigs. It really makes me want to go for it seeing other women rock it, but I'm too scared
I am very proud to have shaved my head. It changed my life honestly lol my confidence level was boosted completely! Plus I got to see what my scalp looks like for the first time in my life!

I lost all my hair to chemo last year so I didn’t really have an option but to buzz cut so a lot of respect to these girls who are brave enough to cut super long hair super short/shaved. I miss my long curly hair but I am learning to love my regrowth pixie even if it’s determined to grow mullet-y.

This was perfect for me today! I was at a point with my hair that I just hated it no matter what I did with it. I tried everything, long story short, I ended up with some seriously dry hair, totally damaged and breaking off. So, I shaved it all off for the second time in my whole life and dyed it blue. I feel so confident and refreshed! Ladies and gentlemen, if there's something you wanna do with your hair, just go for it!
So I always forget Mia and I are only 6 months different in age and her content always just makes me so happy. Bad days instantly fixed when there is a new video from her I was so extremely happy for her when she finally did this chop. She's been talking about it for YEARS. And it looks absolutely amazing. Actually Mia inspired me to chop my hair off, I had it the same length as her and I chopped it to a shoulder length just as her, I feel so free now. It's a perfect haircut for Spanish summer 😂 and a cute, new look. Thank you Mia ❤️ You're gorgeous 🥰

About same age, finally got enough white hair so that purple dye shows, and also finally found a semi-permanent dye that actually holds!! Yay!!!!!! (I keep my hair short so going with permanent dye is too expensive for the time it's gonna stay on my head lol)

With the beauty of hindsight, I can see how silly of me it was to even ask, really - I mean, what exactly was I expecting them to do, take out a full page ad endorsing the competition, lol?!😳😆 But anyways... As a 50 year old who's spent a frustrating 2 and a half years growing out all the damage I caused with box dyes, as well as a further pledge to finally grow out my layers past that annoying in-between phase, I can now proudly say that after a few(!) false starts I'm now almost done - 🎉YAY!!🎊 - with maybe an inch to go til I can fulfil my plan of being able to chop off all the dead and damaged hair in one fell swoop, with the rest cut and styled into a chic and versatile shoulder-grazing bob?😊😊😊 My one big sticking point though, is that with almost a quarter of my natural level 3 dark brown hair having now been replaced with grey/white, I'm left looking washed out and unkempt - not to mention, boring af! - but as I'm sure you can imagine, the prospect of having to revert to permanent colour (or even straight bleach) after all that work, is hardly at the top of my list of "fun things to do", lol! However, I *am* struggling to find an affordable, colourful non-permanent that "sticks", so... ...now that you know my life history and we're bffs😆😆, is there a way you could think of to maybe give me some kind of clue perhaps? If not, that's ok too, I promise! Thanks again for your kind efforts, and take care :)

I also would like to share my experience with Brad’s products. I am almost 62 years old. I have salt and pepper hair ( not sure of the ratio between white and dark brown hair) I have. Been using Demi-permanent hair color in the shade neutral blonde. Light golden blonde to be exact. Back in late 2022, I decided to buy Brads products. So far for me ( fine straight hair) the recalibrate line has been outstanding,! I love the shampoo and conditioner. I also,love his viper oil and the electrifying volumizing foam. I’ve also been dyeing my 89year old moms, the berry and pink colors. It makes her happy ! And it actually clings onto her hair. Thank you Brad 🤗 💕

Love these transformations! I have wanted to cut my hair short for soooo many years, and I decided this year for my 35th bday, I was finally going to do it. And I’m so happy I did! I got an asymmetrical pixie cut, basically, and have been dying it various shades of purple. I love it so much! I feel like I can finally see the real me when I look into the mirror again. 🥰

@@heathur_xo you should totally do it! My hair was just a bit below the middle of my back when I cut it. It was so liberating! And it really is so much easier to maintain and style now. Waaaay less product needed and it takes me less than 5 mins to curl/style it now. Highly recommend giving it a shot! The great thing about hair is if you’re not as into it as you thought you would be, it’ll grow back. 😁
I just cut 18 inches off on Wednesday and have a chin length French bob now. I felt like I was starting to link my identity to my hair again and didn’t want to get stuck hiding in my hair so I chopped it all off, plus this FL heat is just brutal right now. It feels so good!

They way the second girl was holding her scissors is actually how electricians hold their electrician’s scissors! Positioning the scissors backwards so the long handle rests in your palm (thumb still in the little whole) allows you to cut continuously through thick material (such as cables, lol) without your hand cramping up and eventually leading to injury :)
I had to shave mine for chemo and it was soooo freeing! I loved it. I got a few fun wigs from Amazon. Had the best time. It’s back now and I have such curly hair! It’s crazy. Lol.

The 2nd woman had such a gorgeous face that was absolutely overpowered by her hair. She looks stunning without it, and I hope she always keeps it buzzed/pixie short. Same with the 3rd woman, although her hair didn't over power her quite as much, but the shortness definitely showed off her beautiful face.

Here's a little story - I have always had long straight hair ever since I can remember . They went down to my waist and we're pretty thick so I took a lot of pride in them. But during lock down they got really bad. They got so thin that everyone started pointing it out. I passed my 10th recently and I just wanted a big fresh change in my life but was a bit uncertain. I watched your tutorials over and over again but did not get the courage to actually do it. Mia is one of my favorite youtubers and when I saw her video I got inspired and finally cut my hair in a short bob with curtain bangs [by myself might I add] and now it is so much healthier and looks so good. So watching this video right now is like a full circle moment for me😊 BTW I am thinking of dying my hair purple (without bleach) should I do it??
Wish TH-cam allowed us to share photos! Back in 2015 I cut 22 inches off my hair into a pixie. Originally it was almost to my waist. It was so much fun! My hair was shorter than Brads in this video lol. Love the drastic changes. Hair always grows back. Love your content Brad. ❤
@@kaceykennedy5499 had 28 inches of healthy hair before I got tired of it. The easiest way to get it that long is to not dye it. Also, don't get "monthly trims", or whatever frequency is recommemded. Healthy hair barely gets any split ends. After searching my ends, I barely found ONE split end. I got small trims maybe every 6 months. Something like Olaplex Bonding Oil can help prevent split ends too. Also, bruchingrelatively carefully: avoid pulling your hair

I always had long thick hair and I shaved my head 1.5 years ago, it's now around shoulder length but for months after shaving I kept it shaved short and bleached it so many times and changed colours so many times. It was so much fun!!! Can't recommend it enough!!

As someone who’s had to shave their head a few times over (thank you, rare brain diseases!🥴) there is something so dang liberating about it. And it does help in the long run when you’ve spent decades damaging it 😂 all of these women are freaking gorgeous from beginning to end 🫶🏻💜
I went from suuuper long (I could sit on my hair) to a pixie cut. Honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made lol. Still have the braid I cut off as a reminder of how long it really was. 😂
Yeah I went from knee length to shoulder when I graduated highschool, but then in my first 3 months of college I let my roomie a hairstyling student trim my hair , and it was good so when her next assignment was to do her first bleaching... I was like "Ooh I will try blonde for the first time" (I have very dark brown nearly black hair) and this is how I ended up going for my first pixie cut because it was just done, dead, noodly noodles. Her teacher offered to fix and was all panicking and I was just cackling like go to a short buzz and yes I will take the free dye job, toss some red on the little we leave and I will play it off as some edgy fun life choice not a solve to a oops. Also with a fun red I'll just have coloured tips till my hair grows out, I suspect the panic was the teacher not believing me when I said my hair grows fast. My hair was back to mid shoulder in 3months time for my roomies final project where she did this farrah fawcett cut because its what she wanted to do. This also led to free haircuts all through college because that was all first year and their teacher was like ' So your hair does grow quick and you really don't care what we do? Can I call you whenever one of my students needs a 'client' for assignments. So many colours, so many styles.

Being Navajo my hair is a big part of my culture and being able to practice and be proud of who we are has not been something we have been able to do for a long time and still can’t openly express it some not at all still , but our hair is a part we can express without repercussions out in the world . It has not been a norm for us to be able to have it long so we wear it long and proud now ❤

@@EmGee9346 Oh, that is a good idea! I'm not entirely sure, I just know that the last time I donated my hair, I went to a salon and asked the stylists specifically to save my hair to be donated. That's just the easiest way I know how to donate, but I'm sure there's plenty more ways to do so ^^
Did this twice! Went from long to a chin-length bob in middle school (just barely too little to donate), grew it back out through high school to where it hit my low back, started questioning my gender, and then chopped it to a short pixie... right after senior pictures lol. Donated over 1 ft and never regretted it, I can't see myself going back to long ever again. Had it dyed for the first time last October, bright red for a Halloween costume, and it's so much fun! Keeping that color for a while ;P

About same age, finally got enough white hair so that purple dye shows, and also finally found a semi-permanent dye that actually holds!! Yay!!!!!! (I keep my hair short so going with permanent dye is too expensive for the time it's gonna stay on my head lol)

As a 50 year old who's spent a frustrating 2 and a half years growing out all the damage I caused with box dyes, as well as a further pledge to finally grow out my layers past that annoying in-between phase, I can now proudly say that after a few(!) false starts I'm now almost done - 🎉YAY!!🎊 - with maybe an inch to go til I can fulfil my plan of being able to chop off all the dead and damaged hair in one fell swoop, with the rest cut and styled into a chic and versatile shoulder-grazing bob?😊😊😊
My one big sticking point though, is that with almost a quarter of my natural level 3 dark brown hair having now been replaced with grey/white, I'm left looking washed out and unkempt - not to mention, boring af! - but as I'm sure you can imagine, the prospect of having to revert to permanent colour (or even straight bleach) after all that work, is hardly at the top of my list of "fun things to do", lol! However, I *am* struggling to find an affordable, colourful non-permanent that "sticks", so...
...now that you know my life history and we're bffs😆😆, is there a way you could think of to maybe give me some kind of clue perhaps? If not, that's ok too, I promise! Thanks again for your kind efforts, and take care :)

I also would like to share my experience with Brad’s products. I am almost 62 years old. I have salt and pepper hair ( not sure of the ratio between white and dark brown hair) I have. Been using Demi-permanent hair color in the shade neutral blonde. Light golden blonde to be exact. Back in late 2022, I decided to buy Brads products. So far for me ( fine straight hair) the recalibrate line has been outstanding,! I love the shampoo and conditioner. I also,love his viper oil and the electrifying volumizing foam. I’ve also been dyeing my 89year old moms, the berry and pink colors. It makes her happy ! And it actually clings onto her hair. Thank you Brad 🤗 💕

I had 30" of blonde naturally wavy hair, and went to a modified pixie a few years ago. It stopped my migraines I had for years. Now I won't any longer than shag.
The long hair headaches are no joke! I cut around 20 inches off my hair several years ago and now won’t go past my shoulders
Never had more headaches than during Covid when haircuts were impossible to get and mine was down below my waist!!!!

Love these transformations! I have wanted to cut my hair short for soooo many years, and I decided this year for my 35th bday, I was finally going to do it. And I’m so happy I did! I got an asymmetrical pixie cut, basically, and have been dying it various shades of purple. I love it so much! I feel like I can finally see the real me when I look into the mirror again. 🥰

@@heathur_xo you should totally do it! My hair was just a bit below the middle of my back when I cut it. It was so liberating! And it really is so much easier to maintain and style now. Waaaay less product needed and it takes me less than 5 mins to curl/style it now. Highly recommend giving it a shot! The great thing about hair is if you’re not as into it as you thought you would be, it’ll grow back. 😁

I just cut 18 inches off on Wednesday and have a chin length French bob now. I felt like I was starting to link my identity to my hair again and didn’t want to get stuck hiding in my hair so I chopped it all off, plus this FL heat is just brutal right now. It feels so good!

They way the second girl was holding her scissors is actually how electricians hold their electrician’s scissors! Positioning the scissors backwards so the long handle rests in your palm (thumb still in the little whole) allows you to cut continuously through thick material (such as cables, lol) without your hand cramping up and eventually leading to injury :)

I had to shave mine for chemo and it was soooo freeing! I loved it. I got a few fun wigs from Amazon. Had the best time. It’s back now and I have such curly hair! It’s crazy. Lol.

The 2nd woman had such a gorgeous face that was absolutely overpowered by her hair. She looks stunning without it, and I hope she always keeps it buzzed/pixie short. Same with the 3rd woman, although her hair didn't over power her quite as much, but the shortness definitely showed off her beautiful face.

Here's a little story - I have always had long straight hair ever since I can remember . They went down to my waist and we're pretty thick so I took a lot of pride in them. But during lock down they got really bad. They got so thin that everyone started pointing it out. I passed my 10th recently and I just wanted a big fresh change in my life but was a bit uncertain. I watched your tutorials over and over again but did not get the courage to actually do it. Mia is one of my favorite youtubers and when I saw her video I got inspired and finally cut my hair in a short bob with curtain bangs [by myself might I add] and now it is so much healthier and looks so good. So watching this video right now is like a full circle moment for me😊 BTW I am thinking of dying my hair purple (without bleach) should I do it??

Wish TH-cam allowed us to share photos! Back in 2015 I cut 22 inches off my hair into a pixie. Originally it was almost to my waist. It was so much fun! My hair was shorter than Brads in this video lol. Love the drastic changes. Hair always grows back. Love your content Brad. ❤

@@kaceykennedy5499 had 28 inches of healthy hair before I got tired of it. The easiest way to get it that long is to not dye it. Also, don't get "monthly trims", or whatever frequency is recommemded. Healthy hair barely gets any split ends. After searching my ends, I barely found ONE split end. I got small trims maybe every 6 months. Something like Olaplex Bonding Oil can help prevent split ends too. Also, bruchingrelatively carefully: avoid pulling your hair

I always had long thick hair and I shaved my head 1.5 years ago, it's now around shoulder length but for months after shaving I kept it shaved short and bleached it so many times and changed colours so many times. It was so much fun!!! Can't recommend it enough!!

As someone who’s had to shave their head a few times over (thank you, rare brain diseases!🥴) there is something so dang liberating about it. And it does help in the long run when you’ve spent decades damaging it 😂 all of these women are freaking gorgeous from beginning to end 🫶🏻💜

I went from suuuper long (I could sit on my hair) to a pixie cut. Honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made lol. Still have the braid I cut off as a reminder of how long it really was. 😂
Yeah I went from knee length to shoulder when I graduated highschool, but then in my first 3 months of college I let my roomie a hairstyling student trim my hair , and it was good so when her next assignment was to do her first bleaching... I was like "Ooh I will try blonde for the first time" (I have very dark brown nearly black hair) and this is how I ended up going for my first pixie cut because it was just done, dead, noodly noodles. Her teacher offered to fix and was all panicking and I was just cackling like go to a short buzz and yes I will take the free dye job, toss some red on the little we leave and I will play it off as some edgy fun life choice not a solve to a oops. Also with a fun red I'll just have coloured tips till my hair grows out, I suspect the panic was the teacher not believing me when I said my hair grows fast.
My hair was back to mid shoulder in 3months time for my roomies final project where she did this farrah fawcett cut because its what she wanted to do. This also led to free haircuts all through college because that was all first year and their teacher was like ' So your hair does grow quick and you really don't care what we do? Can I call you whenever one of my students needs a 'client' for assignments. So many colours, so many styles.

Being Navajo my hair is a big part of my culture and being able to practice and be proud of who we are has not been something we have been able to do for a long time and still can’t openly express it some not at all still , but our hair is a part we can express without repercussions out in the world . It has not been a norm for us to be able to have it long so we wear it long and proud now ❤

Love all of the cuts, they're so gorgeous ❤ I kinda wish they'd gone to a hair salon to get it cut though, then they could've donated all of their super long hair! But for at home haircuts, they all look awesome!
@@EmGee9346 Oh, that is a good idea! I'm not entirely sure, I just know that the last time I donated my hair, I went to a salon and asked the stylists specifically to save my hair to be donated. That's just the easiest way I know how to donate, but I'm sure there's plenty more ways to do so ^^

Did this twice! Went from long to a chin-length bob in middle school (just barely too little to donate), grew it back out through high school to where it hit my low back, started questioning my gender, and then chopped it to a short pixie... right after senior pictures lol. Donated over 1 ft and never regretted it, I can't see myself going back to long ever again. Had it dyed for the first time last October, bright red for a Halloween costume, and it's so much fun! Keeping that color for a while ;P
