I found a birdhouse for $1.24 at my local Walmart. I turned it into an EPIC fantasy house. Seriously, it couldn't have turned out better!!!!!

Hey everybody! Wow this video has really taken off! Thanks so much for your support! Several people have commented asking about how I did a few of the individual steps in this process that I, honestly, skipped over because my usual fan base likely had already seen me do it before. I honestly didn’t expect this many new eyes on the channel at once and to my new viewers I’m sorry I didn’t go into more detail, I’ll be more mindful from here on about explaining parts of the process I tended to take for granted. ALL THAT BEING SAID below I’m going to include some links to some past videos that include explanations on the parts I skipped over. I apologize for making you have to watch MORE videos but for now it’s the best I can do.

For those without access to foam or wire foam cutters, you can achieve a more simplified version of this using wood craft sticks, wall filler/spackle (to mimic rough plaster), and cereal box cardstock (for the roof shingles).

I’m thinking that it looks like 1:44 scale, I’m going to keep my eyes peeled, I’d take the back off and use the bottom as the divider between the first and second floors. But great vlog, great delivery.

This turned out really great (and despite being a new viewer, I don't mind the skipping over parts because this isn't the only channel I watch that does diorama-style builds)
The only thing that gripes me about videos like this is the intro which implies that the whole thing cost you $1.24 - which is partially true but only for people who do this regularly. For people just getting into the hobby who don't have stacks of XPS foam or foam-core or mountains of cardstock lying around (not to mention the tools you use); it's going to cost them (and thus; people like me) a hell of a love more than $1.24 to make something like this. XPS foam sheets (at least here) are NOT cheap (mostly because you have to buy in bulk and that gets expensive if you're just trying it out), foam-core I've never actually seen anywhere near me, I'd probably have to get it on amazon or something and again; it's not cheap. I get this isn't necessarily designed as a beginner video but when you title something in this way, you're going to feed that algorithm and bring in a lot of new viewers (youtube loves those thrifty-titled videos) and I just think it's a little misleading (maybe not quite click-bait but certainly along those lines).
Still, as I said; it turned out great and you've still got a new sub with me, I just feel like a bit more background into the cost(s) of this hobby could be better explained.

I wish I liked DND. I would love to have a reason to make these. ❤

I mean, you could just make them because you want to? Make dioramas, or model towns for trains. Or just stick em on a shelf cus they look cool! Nothing says they HAVE to be used for D&D!
