I use Canon Print Studio Pro. Select "crop the image tool" then select the full image as a crop, hit ok. It opens the image in the layout section, there you can set even borders all around.
Jose. Borders are easy my way. Example. I load 8.5 x 11. Paper. I specify borderless printing in the paper. In the print module I then specify the border I want. If I want an 8 x 10 print I set left and right border to .25”. Top and bottom I set .5”. The print is centered with cell size set to 8 x 10 - the max size. I also specify the the photo auto rotates and is centered. I can set any other border I want by putting in equal borders on each opposing side. Borderless printing allows you to set any border you want to achieve whatever photo size you want. I print using LR Classic on an iMac.
Spot on as always Jose. The smaller the paper you print on the more obvious the difference even if you set all the margins the same. If I print a 6 x 4 with quarter inch border there's always one side that is slightly out. If you do an A3+ print with 1" borders then it's much harder to notice 😉 Like you say, the only way to get perfect borders or perfect borderless prints is to use bigger paper and cut away the excess 😋
How can you get the image centered correctly when you are printing a card though? I set custom size eg: 8in x 6im for a 4x6 card and have to push the image right up to the right side top corner to get it to print anywhere near properly but the boarders are still way off.

I've tried downloading that but couldn't. Does this work with the pixima printer ip8750?

Doesn't the Pro 1000 have sensors to advance and retreat the paper until it is lined up smack center?
