Dry Chenin's, unicorn bottles, proper baller shit from natty wine legends who do Chenin on schist soils and don't use a load of chemicals in the vineyard.
Geordie, we did pretty good on our visit to Anjou Region... went to a few real good domaines in Savenierres! My fav may have been Chateau de la Plaisance (technically in Chaume) . We did go to Coulee de Serrant.. that was cool too! We almost got in to see Tess La Roche practically next door... We also liked Domaine Breton .....Domaine de la Chateluserrie (Borgueil). Loved Clos Bourgelat in Graves (Bordeaux) and generally the smaller domaines! Thanks for inspiring me!
Sadie Family - Skoerpione and Mev Kirsten are up there with the great chenins in the world. But I'm sure there are loads of top chenins there flying under the radar ;)
