I wouldn't call this a nice moment. It is for three seconds, then Endora starts taking shots, like calling him Dennis. Darrin is trying to be nice, but Endora won't let him. Then they both get into it over how he should treat Sam and her choice. Good episode.
Yeah. Endora used his correct name, in one instance, and it surprised Darrin. She asked if the name was unfamiliar to him. He said no, but I thought it was unfamiliar to you. 🙂
If the keys were hanging there behind Endora all of the time why didn't she let him out then whilst the jailor /executioner had his back turned.. He hadn't noticed she was there.. They could have disappeared before he turned around instead of going through the hypnosis bit?

What about when Tabitha was born? Endora was being her true self. When she was being "mean" to Darrin it was all a concerned mother's act.
Dick York played Darrin Stevens the best. IMO.
Dick Sergeant did ok but it just wasn’t the same after York left.

No, it’s Aunt Clara who comes down the chimney, and rather clumsily too. Though sometimes she comes through the kitchen closet.

The more I watch these old shows the less I like “Derwood” - an overbearing dictator (except sometimes).
That was his purpose. Just like in I Dream of Jeannie you needed a 'stuff-shirt' to keep the magic under control.
