I rented a Huracan over the weekend and now I am hooked. I am now trying to figure out how I can buy one of my own. I experienced everything you said in the one day I had the car. People stopped to take photos, I let kids sit in it, people at the gas station strike up conversations with you, other drivers follow you because they want to get a closer look. It really does make you stand out.
A small loan wouldn't do you any good if you were not able to pay it back, and if you could pay it back you could just simply finance one. A Lambo like what he has in the vid is roughly $250k and an Aventador is roughly $500k.

A key point Parker made was how you meet other goal driven people in these vehicle communities. I didn't realize this until I bought my first exotic (Maserati Granturismo) a few years back. Being an automotive enthusiast and having been involved in the car scene the majority of my life (I'd owned and built everything from 96 Jettas to 99 Eclipse GSX's, to E46 M3's, RB20det 240x, and the list goes on and on...) I moved onto getting my first exotic and started attending events tailored to these cars to see what they were like. What a shock it was to see that it was very different than what I had expected! The exotic car community is full of hard working, friendly, disciplined, successful, goal oriented individuals that definitely change your perspective on everything. Imagine you're in a room with hundreds of super successful car enthusiasts who are willing to share their knowledge with anyone who asks. I was (and definitely still am) the poorest guy at all of these events but the friendships and connections you make within this community are invaluable.
Interesting points, but I think honestly if a young person pulled up in their flashy lamborghini to propose a business venture to me, my instinct would be to blow them off as immature or spoiled. They'd then have to stand out that much more to have my interest in their proposal.

I'm 18 right now in school for dental hygiene and have about a year left to get my dental hygiene certificate after that I wanted to stay in school for 2 more years and get my bachelors in dentistry and become a dentist and after I become a dentist I wanted to go back to school and become an orthodontist. Maybe not total happiness, but if you think that if I walked up to a poor person and gave them a million dollars that their life wouldn't be permanently happier for that, then you are living a fantasy. a 35k car is prob not a safe one to drive. When your net worth is high up, you need to consider other things like safety of the car etc. But I agree, its best to own 3 different cars. say a E class as a daily driver, S class for the business trips and a supercar just for the heck of it.

Really cool to see how the channel has grown with you and where its heading. If you could do a "Why i chose to make a TH-cam channel" vid would be nice. I know this is an old video but I've been watching a lot of your videos lately. I have always loved lamborghini but I grew up poor and never really considered it to be something that was possible. However another youtuber posted a video that said if you have dreams then just consider it. I admit buying a lambo still didn't pop into my mind until about a month later. I'm looking at my career prospects and where I may be in 5 to 10 years and yeah it might actually be possible. So I enjoy watching videos like this as it gives me hope.

I don't think I'd ever buy something as insanely expensive as a Lambo (even if I had the money), but I can agree that it's great to share an attention-grabbing car with people that like it (I own a 99% stock show E12/8 BMW, and that car draws a lot of attention). I have to admit though, having an entire crowd of primary school children around your car can make for a nervous time.
I wish I could afford to get a new Continental GT Speed, but you really have to be part of the typical elite crowd to own one. It doesn't seem to be just about money.

The thing about Lamborghinis is that people don't buy them purely for performance. Yeah, I might be able to buy a 15 year old Civic and make it way faster than a Lamborghini for less than half the price. But, that Civic will never give you the feeling that a Lamborghini does. That is what differentiates super cars from just fast cars.

I dunno if I can drive this car everyday, it's a difficult car to drive. Not user friendly. Major blind spots, can't see behind you. The whole design of what makes it cool makes it inconvenient to drive. But it's an amazing car though, I may just stick to renting it 4 times a year and hope to come out ahead than an owner.

I have no interest at all in owning a Lamo. I USED to, but as soon as I could afford one, I didn't want one anymore. I respect the ART of it. If I imagine having one, what I see is how nice it would look sitting in my driveway. No one around to admire it; just how it would look in my driveway, shining in the sun. It is weird (to me) that it should serve as 'credibility' (how would someone know you are legit rich?) Well you don't necessarily WANT anyone to know you are rich, number one, and two I would argue a really 'driven' businessperson would invest that money in an asset that makes more money, rather than a depreciating car.

I argue with the statement that money can't buy happiness. Maybe not total happiness, but if you think that if I walked up to a poor person and gave them a million dollars that their life wouldn't be permanently happier for that, then you are living a fantasy. Or if I walked up to someone driving a Camry and gave them a 458, that would also make that person much happier for years to come or possibly life (especially since they could just sell it if they don't want it).

This is a pretty shallow video.. It's almost like you're trying to justify to yourself as to why you bought a Lambo. You're young so I'll give you a pass but some of the smartest business people I know are millionaires and they don't drive a Lambo because they don't want to draw attention to themselves.. They are very successful and most drive a 3 series BMW to work as to not upset their employees. I like your channel and your videos but this is just a "LOOK AT ME' video.. sorry. I drive a 2016 Golf R and it has more than enough power for day to day driving in all conditions.
This video is stupid as fuck. If you're that young and you have the privilege of having 200 grand lying around, you should be investing it, not sinking it into an asset that only depreciates over time. My cousin and her husband are both pharmacists and they make a combined 250 grand a year yet they drive a 35k car and have a 600k house. This kid needs a serious lesson on modest living. I have the blessing and privilege to work at an amazing company that pays me a lot but the last thing I'll be doing is buying a 200 grand car. Ridiculous

a 35k car is prob not a safe one to drive. When your net worth is high up, you need to consider other things like safety of the car etc. But I agree, its best to own 3 different cars. say a E class as a daily driver, S class for the business trips and a supercar just for the heck of it.

Great points and great video man. I first stumbled upon your channel while browsing muffler delete videos in the market for an E39 M5. Have since been an on and off viewer but avid for the most part. Really cool to see how the channel has grown with you and where its heading. If you could do a "Why i chose to make a TH-cam channel" vid would be nice. I know this is an old video but I've been watching a lot of your videos lately. I have always loved lamborghini but I grew up poor and never really considered it to be something that was possible. However another youtuber posted a video that said if you have dreams then just consider it. I admit buying a lambo still didn't pop into my mind until about a month later. I'm looking at my career prospects and where I may be in 5 to 10 years and yeah it might actually be possible. So I enjoy watching videos like this as it gives me hope.

I don't think I'd ever buy something as insanely expensive as a Lambo (even if I had the money), but I can agree that it's great to share an attention-grabbing car with people that like it (I own a 99% stock show E12/8 BMW, and that car draws a lot of attention). I have to admit though, having an entire crowd of primary school children around your car can make for a nervous time.

the only attention I get in the GTR is from young fanboys. though I do get offers for free car detail services if I let them post pictures of it on their instagram and snapchat.
The thing about Lamborghinis is that people don't buy them purely for performance. Yeah, I might be able to buy a 15 year old Civic and make it way faster than a Lamborghini for less than half the price. But, that Civic will never give you the feeling that a Lamborghini does. That is what differentiates super cars from just fast cars.

I dunno if I can drive this car everyday, it's a difficult car to drive. Not user friendly. Major blind spots, can't see behind you. The whole design of what makes it cool makes it inconvenient to drive. But it's an amazing car though, I may just stick to renting it 4 times a year and hope to come out ahead than an owner.

I have no interest at all in owning a Lamo. I USED to, but as soon as I could afford one, I didn't want one anymore. I respect the ART of it. If I imagine having one, what I see is how nice it would look sitting in my driveway. No one around to admire it; just how it would look in my driveway, shining in the sun. It is weird (to me) that it should serve as 'credibility' (how would someone know you are legit rich?) Well you don't necessarily WANT anyone to know you are rich, number one, and two I would argue a really 'driven' businessperson would invest that money in an asset that makes more money, rather than a depreciating car.
