I thought the tutorial was super accurate, actually. If you look at pictures or movies from the 90's you'll notice the characters typically have this sort of makeup on. Matte brownish lips, hazy, understated liner, matte face, neutral matte shadow etc. I think you did a great job Chloe :)

I remember wearing deep 'wine' colored lipsticks in the early 90s. Those were hugely popular at the beginning of that decade. I also favored the less trendy mauve shades, since I was just starting to use makeup at the time and I wanted to experiment with colors that flattered my complexion. LOVE that lip liner shade! Now I'm totally gonna have to go out and buy it! :)
I remember a lot of that, too!! I grew up in So Cali where the girls wore a lot of makeup. Foundation, blush, lipstick, eye liner, mascara, the works! But then when my family moved to Virginia, I was the only girl with a full face of makeup. It was like moving to an entirely different planet! lol. But at the same time, it was very interesting to note the difference. I still wore makeup anyway. Didn't care. :-p You can take the girl outta Cali, but you can't take the Cali out of the girl. ;)

I used to suffer horribly from cold sores until I learned a few tricks to dealing with them. Firstly if you take a double dose of Lysine when you feel that 1st tingle of one coming on you can often ward it off or prevent it from becoming very severe. Once you have one you can cut it off quickly by dabbing ether on it. Sounds gross but the easiest way to get ether is in automotive starting fluid
I do like this look, I kinda wish you did a Gwen stefani, Shirley Manson or Courtney Love 90's rocker chick would be a nice additional look. I was a teenager in the 90's and that's what I went for :)
