To illustrate how unlikely 11:18 is: The enemy you faced was the grunt insurgent, one of the weakest enemies in the game with a crit (instakill) chance of 2%. Your guy was wearing extended armor, which has a 65% chance of blocking standard rifle shots. He was also partially covered behind a wall, which actually did block most of the shots fired at him. The grunt shot a 4-round burst, 3 of them hit the wall, the 1st one killed him. Let's say that there was a 50% chance of any single bullet hitting him (because 50% of his hitbox was covered). 2% * 35% * 50% = 0.35% That outcome theoretically had a 0.35% chance of occurring, or 1 out of 285. Your guy had a 99.65% of having literally anything else happen to him and surviving. The grunt could've missed completely or hit the wall, there a 65% chance of taking it in the plate, and in that other 35%, there was a 98% chance of simply getting injured but not instakilled.
@@pubcollize There is NOTHING in this universe that is absolutely impossible. Everything is just a matter of HOW unlikely things are. For example: It is possible for a glass of water to fall _through_ a table unchanged when dropped onto it, if and only if every single molecule just happens to swing in the right position to pass through the space between the molecules of the wood. It is exponentially unlikely that this happens with so many molecules all at once, but... it IS possible.
@@QemeH According to the YT timestamps I watched and commented on the vid 2Y ago, I'm not gonna rewatch it for context of what you just explained to me - but without context, it seems like you just used a whole lot of words to say exactly what I did.
i think this shows how dangerous being a soldier is. Sometimes you do everything right and make use of every cqb or combat tatics, but still you may loose you life before you notice
the fact that one of your assaulters legit just gets onetapped in the head even though you did everything right.. that pissed me off and im not even the one playing
To be fair, when the first guy gets injured he's not even looking at the enemy. Pause at 9:00, your guy is facing the double doors and that's why the enemy can shoot him without being detected. When the injured guy turns around, that's when you spot the enemy. I don't think Door Kickers is to blame in this situation, imo. :)
I cleared this with everyone alive, ironically (because it's an underground bunker) I found having a Marksman was really useful, because so many engagements were at the end of a long corridor. I suspect the gamist ideal route for this mission the builder intended was to use a second wall charge to blow the wall in the first room, then pull security to cut off half the map from your assaulters going after the hvt
9:00 Shows again how it's a game of angles and extreme precision, dude on the right triggered an angle his mate couldn't cover by moving forward just a bit, just like last video. The game taught me to be aware of these little things, so as soon as you put him there I was worried for him haha.. At 11:20 I learned the hard way to never stand in doorways after opening a door when I don't have surprise anymore, clearing like that is just a game of chance and rarely works. And the guy was obviously waiting for you to come to this door after hearing gunshots and his mates die screaming. Despite all this I share the frustrations you have with the game, it can sometimes feel unfair and go wrong despite feeling like you're doing everything right. Still love your content but maps are going uphill from now, and so does the level of awareness required.
Now that map making is properly supported in Door Kickers, do you think you'll be taking user-created maps once you finish the single player campaign? If so, what sort of custom maps would be interested in, and would you be taking submissions? I've been playing with the custom map tools and you can do quite a lot with it.
Pairs: We're going to avoid using HE in this area because we don't know what's in these tanks. Also Pairs: (sees one dude with a gun) Fuck it, Plus Ultra.
Yeah when I played this mission I decided that I just didn't care about the risk of killing the HVT with High explosive and used as many frags and 203 rounds as necessary to make rooms safe. Somehow I managed to not kill the HVT and got my 3 star so win win.
Its a door kickers game... really missing the shield operators. not much use for shields in the sandbox, but for these complexes, they are a must have.
I would honestly suggest you check out the DK2 enhanced mod, it adds in some much needed features and immersion that make the operators less clunky in combat and adds more gear into the fold.
I've got the game today, and i'm haveing a blast, i kinda got recked a few times but i'm getting better at this whole not dieing thing, i still need to work on not killing the people i need to capture tho ;) Also, question : when you click on an operator couse you want to throw a nade, plant a charge or do other stuff, the game automaticly pauses, so does throwing a nade makes you fail the no pause chalange?
I absolutely hated this map since it was basically all tight corridors with no cover. Terrorists could spam down and grenade the hell out of my team with no escape route to run to
I used 2 shotguns on my room-breachers and 2 Mk 17 CQCs for corridors, I think the shotguns are very helpful as operators engage faster AND their punch at close range helps deter opponents from effectively shooting back (if they survive the first blast) - though I'm not sure if that much is actually coded in the game, but that's how it seems. Also pistols for a room or two too tight for shotgun and of course plenty of handhelds. A very challenging map indeed.
hey CPG i know this isn't realistic but you should use the spy camera, a lot ! it's a very usefull tool in a game where you are given 4 guys to neutralize 70 terrorists
they say future combat will take place underground between developed countries, because the surface will be a deadzone of accurate artillery and airstrikes
Yeah that’s something I never thought of. The HVT would squirt out the back in real life. I kinda wish the game would employ this mechanic. Makes stealth and or violence of action even more relevant.
Almost got this 3 star, the last corridor got one of my dude killed because of the amount of suicide bombers rushing and a skilled insurgent behind firing towards my security guy, tried giving him some help, he still died. It was going so freaking smooth tho.
So, absolutely love your videos. Just wondering if you have a tiktok channel? Because i think ur videos would do well as shorts on there. you are really good, but at the start you checked the corners of the oil tanks with the guy in the back instead of the one in the front that can be a fatal mistake then the enemy has a clear shot one you when you dont have a clear shoot on him . sorry for my bad writing but good video

I had a pretty good run on this map... until I reached the end on the tunnel and has four guys with explosive vests charge me all at once. I accidentally made my support gunner charge them, affectively killing all four and saving the the rest of the squad.
13:05 I hate to say it but this was kind of your fault. The bad guy was waiting with his gun pointed at the door. Of course he will start shooting when it opens. Good shit anyway👍
So many missions have been lost to fog of war bull. There's a particularly difficult workshop mission I hope you get to that has this in spades. Nevertheless it's still a super fun challenging mission.
I don’t think you had the element of surprise, there were several gunshots and an explosion, and there’s only one place your assaulters could’ve entered so he was covering it, and in real world even if you do everything right all it takes is one shot, and that showed here
the first guy who died didn't have the drop, you popped a nade and shits have been fired, the guy holding the pie on the door didn't have an angle and the guy opening the door was opening the door, ie no gun up, lucky only to loose one guy...

It’s very meta but I’ve learned that the HVT will always run away from gunfire and explosions so you can kinda herd him him to the back of a map.
