Oh how we miss this wonderful man. A night at one of his concerts was a guarantee that you would go home feeling on top of the world. Isn’t it great that we can listen to him and be reminded what a great human being graced this earth. God bless you Vin and the whole Garbutt clan. Xx
A Voice for the people. You sang and spoke for the ordinary folk. May your music last forever with the simple message of Love, truth and fairness for all who work hard to provide for themselves, their families and their communities.
I saw Vin at a folk club in Leytonstone, London, E11. Loved him ever since. RIP Vin, I was so sorry to hear that you had left us ! Barry Mulcahy I have listened to Little Innocents many times.
Met Vin many times. First of all in Nantwich, then at the Sidmouth Folk festival, last time We saw him was in Nailsea. We have followed his lovely music and humour for over thirty years. It will be such a privilege to speak to his grandchildren. Love Ann x
So sad to hear of Vin's passing. Although he did not write this song he made it his own on so many occasions. I will never listen to it again without thinking of him.
Just posted this on my time line for Mothers Day. Sums it up beautifully for me bubble gum fox, I got the chance to see your grandad live. Great man ❤️
Vin is my pops’ cousin, he tells me stories of teaching vin the guitar and his stories from south bank and camp fire and a sing song up Eston nab. I love this song, vin is very similar to my pops’ they share a lot of traits, very kind, gentle and very witty.
