Hats off to you Jason. A lot of the overlanders are guys out with their buddies, or they are doing solo adventures. You really integrate your kids into both your videos and the activities. Thanks for demonstrating that it can be a family activity.
Irish setter neoprene boots (waterproof and comfy). Keep them flipped down half way for storage / shallow mud) and can roll up to full knee height for deep water or snow once they are on...great video guys!
Hey Jason :) my tip: get an Auto Electrician to check out your Electrical woes BEFORE you go buy a new Battery and Fridge!!!...... and if you do end up buying new stuff, go Lithium for the battery and get an Engel for a Fridge :) Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)
Next time you're in the area try and stop by Mazama National Park. We ran across it unexpectedly. It tells the story of the Japanese Internment camps. I've visited many in AZ & UT but they have always been sad, run down places that aren't very respectful. Mazama is the opposite. It is truly one of the most touching NP visits I've ever made.
You can actually drive into the mine quite a bit, nearly a half mile with plenty of turnarounds. Well, you can if you don't have all of that... stuff mounted all over your truck 😄
Reward Mine is so fun! Sucks you guys couldnt drive to the bottom! I just did a couple weeks ago an it is wicked! Up that hill to the right leads to the older mines on the other side of the mountain, A fun hike for sure so much old mining equipment and the old mines from the 1800's and the views are amazing. I have a video of the bottom (took my tacoma down) of the mine on my youtube channel and pics of the other sides mines on my instagram (carsonclowes) thanks for posting this Jason!!
Next time you're in that area you should take in Cerro Gordo, Bristle cone pines and the road down from the bristle cone pines down into Bishop. (the short cut).
Your camera work is steadily getting better. Your story telling seemed to stagnate for a while, but you got a fresh look again. Great work! (And don't worry what Peter and Matti do)
Haha. The in-camera stabilization was much better on my old GH5 - so still getting used to this camera. These were some of the first videos I shot on the new EOS-R. I’ll get better in future videos! I love the quality and sharpness and color of the canon though!
Silly question but maybe valid. What do you do for gas? Are most of those areas where as long as you start with a full tank your good the whole duration or do you take a certain amount with you? Thanks again and you stuff is always great and constantly getting better and better.
Are they still plowing the road up to whitney portal? I'm going to assume the gate is still open. I'm actually heading to Alabama hills this weekend and would love to head up if it's open and plowed. I got a tacoma 4x4 offroad
Not to be a stickler but the Alabama Hills are adjacent to the eastern sierras....they are not in the sierras. That gorgeous named the Alabama Hills is in the Owens Valley where SoCal continues to steal the water for the Kardashian's lawns.
Great video, really like your music choices. Going to Alabama Hills for the first time this weekend for one night/day then heading to Death Valley for two because it will be 20 degrees warmer.
Jason, serious question: How many trips do you go on average per year? It seems like a lot (8 or more) which leads me to my next question. How do you talk your wife into letting you be gone so much? 😁
Duracell , Thumbs down, Odyssey Thumbs Up. Engel Fridge , Cannot beat it, Best Compressor design in the world. Best Current draw, One moving part. Just my two cents.
"Man walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything." (obligatory Firefly reference) great video, Jason! question though- you may have mentioned it in another video, but why can't (or don't) you turn your neck? was there an injury?
Nice video as always. I hate to say it but watching these last 2 videos, makes me not want that trailer. Looks like it makes everything off road more difficult.
Doesn’t bother me to have it. Keeps me from having to load up the 4runner for trips or keep it loaded up with gear. Love the fact that I could go anywhere everyone else could. But have a full kitchen and water. And tent.
I'm not sure what actually happened in this video. It looks like you just drove up to the snow and turned around in the same day. I want to believe in this type of setup but I feel that overland just means "overweight". I suspect that makes driving a lot harder. Often it's the same engine but 1000lbs+ more weight to pull around.
Nothing beats honest content and great production. Your stuff gets better and better.

I don’t know how you do it but your videos are always entertaining. I think it’s the music and the video. I enjoy that kind of stuff.
Jason , You are truly a Four Season Adventurer. Nicely Done Sir ! Nicely Done!
the B-Roll transition sound effects are my favorite part!
What a great series Jason! I definitely missed an incredible day, but glad I was part of the others. See you guys soon I hope!
AJ is becoming one of my favorite people
4runners are just the best period. Everyday I get in my runner I’m happy to drive it whether it’s to work or on a trip.

So, how much I gotta pay you to make my videos for me? K thanks.
🤣🤣 appreciate it mike. Can’t wait for March!!! Two weeks from tomorrow!!

Jason! My home away from home. Lone Pine to Lee Vining. Hope to run into you! Keep 4Running!
Whitney Portal, one of the access points for hiking to the top. Nice campground. Great snow shots.
Go back in summer and hike to lone pine lake! That is my plan for vacation.
Reward Mine is cool. We had 7 jeeps back a couple hundred yards and ran out of driving room. Great vlog, keep it upp
Great video and even greater memories for the kids, can't wait until we get to Arizona and do this kind of stuff with the family.
Love this vid man the mountains look unreal please keep posting quality content!
I love snow and good music thank you
Tha last time we went up there the gate was closed. Lucky you guys are able to go to the zigzag 🤙🏽👍🏽
Taking up a notch...incredible trip in the Valley... Well Done All Involved!
Adventure with family is the best. Keep em coming

Love the Peter McKinnon reference, he is the King of B-Roll!
Wow, just stumbled across this channel in my recommended vids. Definitely giving a sub! camera work and editting are top notch!
Thanks Jesse!!
Love it.. still a massive fan of your shooting and editing..
There was some parts when you were coming down the hill. looked like you were going through a rainbow, really cool looking.
Jason, Spot-on with the music my man. I loved the video only getting better and better.

Ur very good mr jason cant wait for vids like this

Miss these type of vids
Just saw AJs rig on the cover of tread! Looks super good!
If you don't like the weather in the Sierra.. Wait a minute.
Outstanding, you did a great job with this one Jason.
I thought would be blocked off. Usually is when i go up there in the winter
I'm up in Buffalo visiting family and have had quite a bit of snow to drive around in.

I didn’t realize you has switched cameras, I like the new look a lot! :)
Mount Whitney is the highest mountain in the lower 48, it says no more than it says yes.
Keeping doing it. Good stuff
Always top quality. Love it!
Awesome video and story.
Nice videos. I see you have Florida tags, what part of Florida are you from if you don't mind me asking? Floridian asking, of course ;)
Hey bro I love your 4Runner man they both are nice.
Have a great time
This is paradise ... question how do you stay warm inside the tent ? Anyone?
Awesome dudes!
That was a great trip!
This video editing is really good love the music
fantastic video! wouldn't airing back up help in the snow, not sure, just asking
Nice video, always enjoyable thanks
Have you seen your gas milage drop since you have been using the “sprint booster thing”
Nope. No change.
Was your windshield tinted as well?

This was back in November.
I had no interest in visiting this area before watching your vids, but you've changed my mind. As long as its not summer time though, lol.
There was so so much more to see there - Lifestyle overland spent a week there and barely scratched the surface. But yea, summer time it’d be hot!
What time of year was this?
That sierra cement, I know it well.
Looks like fun! Seems like you can't make up your mind on exposure though 😂
I’ll get there!! Haha
How do you like your CVT tent? Do you have a review on it? Thinking of getting one.
Love it.
just go with Lithium already! and write a decent pro con list on fridges - you will be suprised
Amazing!! Hi from SLC

Thanks for the correction!
Digging the tunes in the background....can you share the artist?
Found it.....Andrew Applepie.....cassette love
Awesome 👏
Only in CA can you be in dry desert 🐫 and then drive 30 miles and you’re in high mountain 🏔 snow pack.
It was awesome!
uhhh, Washington and Oregon disagree
Any link to maps?

"The worst fart ever!" Ha!
😂🤣
Go for Lifeline batteries. Odyssey’s are not what they used to be.
Am I the only one that sees the Bigfoot at 10:00 that’s clearly something standing on the mountain
I see him, I see him!! Did you see him wave?
What tires do you have on? Did you like them in snow?
Bfg ko2’s. Love them.
Jason, serious question: How many trips do you go on average per year? It seems like a lot (8 or more) which leads me to my next question. How do you talk your wife into letting you be gone so much? 😁
Spectacular production quality
That b roll gave me a headache lol, nice video tho 👍
Me too. Gotta work on that! But did you like my sound effects?
@@SwellRunner yes, it was funny haha!

Fantastic 2!

When can't run you walk. When you can't walk ... well ... you know the rest ...
Ever hear of the chain of command? it's the ruttin' chain I beat you with until you figure out who's in command here ... lol
Time for some thrilling heroics ... LOL
Let's be bad guys.. lol

Is that 4Runner your daily driver too?
When was this filmed?
November
Watching the 4Runner go up the mountain along with the editing took me to a good place mentally!
4Runner or Wrangler??
The adjusting of the exposure has gotten pretty noticeable in the past few vids. Why not just use auto?
Shooting in log. So it has to be manual.
@@SwellRunner Oh i get it now. Too bad it's not easier to set and forget.
Jason hauls too much stuff. And then to not have flashlights immediately at hand.... jeesh
Ha! Matti Habaijebuddedah

You can overland in a stock vehicle and sleep in the back. Ultimately, it's all the same.
Poor guy can’t turn his neck?
Don’t forget to brush your teeth
Personal question. I've noticed you have limited flexibility in you neck. Was it fused? Just asking because that is in my future.
Dude, you need to eat better on your trips. Man does not live on oatmeal alone.
Terrible music
