Everyone makes sealed shoes, but what about making shoes for hikes with many river crossings? There’s a real lack on the market for good hiking shoes that also drain quickly.
There are quite a few options: 5.10 Trailcross SL/XT, Altra Lone Peak 5, Hoka Hopara, Salomon Tech Amphib 4 & Amphib Bold 2, etc...lots more if you care to dig through the various brand's collections. The Hoka Speedgoat 4's don't hold much water when you get wet walking/running through creeks other than the insole. So you can swap in a different insole that doesn't absorb water if you know you'll have wet feet all day and want the shoe to dry fast.
The Speedgoat Mid 2 GTX features a premium lightweight and breathable GORE-TEX waterproof bootie that keeps your feet dry in a variety of weather conditions!
Hi, Thanks for the question! Fit can be very subjective, as all feet are unique. We would recommend taking a look at the manufacturer size chart, with steps on how to properly measure for their shoes: www.hoka.com/en/us/sizing-information.html
I think it's a interesting category. Definitely something to consider.
Do I need to go up a half size on the Speedgoat Mid ?
Are these anything like the Hoka speedgoat 4 one one
