  • At the end of last year my wife and I took a road trip to California to kinda escape the reality of normal life. I took a lot of time reflecting about the past year and my journey with medium format film photography to see how much I have grown. With my new medium format camera, the Mamiya 645 and 12 rolls of Fuji 400H in hand, I took a lot of photos during this trip which was very fulfilling. During the trip I also recognized some areas of that I had a desire to improve in and discussed those areas in the video. Feel free to skim the chapters below. Cheers.

Such a great video! Hit the nail on the head in terms of images being 'worth the frame' with film too - this year I'm trying to focus my own TH-cam videos more on taking photos for the love of it too. Subscribed :)

haha I know that....the question is the photo really worth the money. My solution was to simply take a point & shoot with me. if medium format is overkill just shoot with 35mm in case it was great after all. 😀

Working on grabbing a 35mm myself. Definitely helps when you have more frames to work with

Great video! I felt that when you talked about hesitating to take the shot because the composition isn’t good enough.
