It was a little difficult because our ceiling is made of concrete. I could not do it with my own tools. We hired a handyman to drill a hole and he put in an anchor to make sure it could safely hold the weight.

We no longer have the hammock, so I'm trying to remember... I know that the anchor we installed had a metal loop attached to it. And I think the spring had a hook on top of it, so that it could be simply be hooked onto the metal loop. You may need to find a spring that has a hook on the end.
