Draken Harald Harfagre in Dry Dock at Mystic Seaport

We took the ship out of the water and gave it a power wash. Then cleaned off some rust and repainted the underside. The ship went back into the water looking new!
It was very cool to watch the ship lift work and see the Draken out of the water.

I always get amazed by the size of them when I see them close up. This one is particular big, but the others aswell.
And how wide they are.

I wish I had known about this, its probably long gone but I would have liked to see it. I used to work down there and we are going down this weekend for lunch. Really nice boat.

The Draken is staying the winter in Mystic so it's still there. It's not accessible from the public side of the museum but you can still go there and see it from the shoreline just off the maintenance side of the port. I'm not sure when it's going anywhere next actually.
