I just finished my test and no result as yet. I was surprised my T2 is about Agree or Disagree! I can't believe it was easy.
Question: Nowadays in many countries women have full time jobs. Therefore, it is logical to share household tasks evenly between men and women. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
For the above question, am I correct to say that the candidate only chooses 1 question to answer and elaborate with examples based on her choice? I.e. if she chooses to agree, she stipulates all points to back up her opinion as opposed to her having to write her agreeing and disagreeing and then concluding with one?

I have been practicing IELTS for 2 months (from Cambridge IELTS books). Now I have booked IELTS and got access to the British council IELTS practice tests on the website.
But the questions are completely different especially listening questions.
I too faced this problem. Listening is too easy in Cambridge books, which made me think that I could crack it easily. However, I lost that hope when I came to know that it's completely different through TH-cam. Anyway, I got an 8.5 band in listening...

For listening and reading, all i can tell you is to practice from Cambridge books. You can implement the trial and error method, learn from your mistakes, as doing loads of practice tests won't help you, but doing 4-5 tests with the right techniques will help you. By right technique i mean analyzing the different types of questions and learning strategies for them. You can take a look at videos on this channel for strategies.
For writing, learn all types of questions and structures to answer them, practice to make points for writing by taking a look at questions, try to come up with ideas in 3-6 minutes, that will increase your thinking speed ... There is not much benefit of writing whole essays during practice because you will get a different topic in the exam, but if you have to increase your typing/writing speed then you should do that so that you can manage time in the exam
@@Queen-sheba31599 as far as speaking is concerned, don't expect to build a vocabulary overnight ...if you are planning to appear for an exam with in a month, then i am afraid its too late for building vocabulary, instead what you can do is to build vocabulary for certain topics which you find difficult, for example, i always find technology, AI, and government related topics difficult.
The most important tip for speaking is to not try to force big and unfamiliar words in your speaking, as not only it will hinder your fluency, but also it will cause you to lose marks if you use them out of the place,
Be natural, it's just like a conversation between two friends. In my speaking part, i was cracking jokes and me and the examiner both were laughing , but again, do that in limit, as at the end of the day, the examiner is there to judge your speaking skills.

Hi! In our Task 2 course, there are two sets of sample answers, which you can download in the "resources". These are the essays we use throughout the course. If you mean the "recent topics", then this is just a list of questions student remember from their exams. Good luck with your preparation!
Please provide us some tips or websites to check our own writing
You can ask ChatGPT to proofread your essay or improve coherence, but treat it with care as not everything it does it good/correct. You can also use human proofreaders at textranch.com for a couple of dollars per essay. For grading, I suggest looking for a former IELTS examiner who can give you accurate scores, but can't give you a website

Hi there! You can have a balanced opinion, but be careful because it's not the same as just writing about the two sides. You should only write about what YOU think. I do have a detailed explanation lesson in my courses, but not on the channel, I'm afraid

Reading is the hardest part of IELTS.I struggled a lot but there is also a solution.
Read a lot of newspaper 🥰and vocabulary.. Go to Google and search Aeon newspaper. Start reading for 2 months for 2 hours everyday. You will get your desired score

Hello Asiya, I was wondering does listening test requires two words in filling the blanks/gaps?
Because I am really getting confused, There is a video you sent before 3 years you was saying about missing words that I may read WRITE NO MORE THAN TWO WORD FOR each answer.
Unlike a video you sent before a year,
you said In listening missing words they will require to write ONE WORD AND/ OR A NUMBER for each answer. or just write ONE WORD for each answer. unlike in reading, in listening you're never required to look for two or three words.

Hi! Indeed, the format changes a bit with time... In most tests, there're only 'one word and/or a number' tasks. However, in one of the recent tests, I saw TWO words. So it's better to pay attention!

Getting an overall 7.5 bands might be a challenging one, but not impossible.
Make sure you get to know which modules are you’re weak one’s Attempt as many mocks as you can
For instance i have given more than 40 listening mocks but i was able to score 7 in listening i was expecting 8 bands but unfortunately i have scored 7
And when it comes to writing make sure you know the structure it is very important to understand which structure for essay and add more examples on your essay to make it look clear
I didn’t practice any essay
I just memorised the structure and added few examples and i have scored 6.5 bands
So assume if you start practising essay
You can score 7 or more

Well, you can't really write "agree points", but you can have a balanced opinion where you agree with some elements of the statement and disagree with others. In my courses, we look into it in detail, but for the video I just chose the easiest way to answer
