Great to see you back, man! Your content's always solid, love the different methods you present compared to others on the platform. I'm counting down to less fisherman on the water, love surf whiting in Nov/Dec, and when the togs and octopus show up. Favorite time of year's right around the corner!
Thank you and I got my start on whiting back when I first moved to NC. They kept me on the pier enough that I started to learn what else was out there from the old timers and it's been a slippery slope from there. I've never caught tog. Think the closest place I know they get a few is probably Morehead.
Really enjoying your videos and I hope to see more when the weather warms up . Thank you for you service protecting our country. I’m not normally one to comment on on anything but your flounder videos really spoke to me and woke me up. Hope to see you out there one day. Tight lines brother!
Thank you. Speckled trout is going on the chopping block later this year and based off some of the decisions we've seen lately, I fully expect that we go down the same path we did with flounder all over again. If we could just get 5-10% of the rec fishermen on the same page and moving together we could completely turn this thing around. Spread the word and email your representatives. Tell them it's time for change!
hey man it was really nice talking to you the other day thanks again for the trout lure can't wait to use it. thanks for posting a new video keep them coming we know it takes allot of work, but we sure enjoy them, and it keeps us going out there when we see you catching the big one's good luck and tight lines.
If I hadn't spoken to you I honestly might have never made another one so thank you for that. I actually didn't catch a single sheep down there that day but I couldn't keep the overslot reds off the line. Big pile of them holding at end of wall on the other side of the turner.
I won't show my exact areas but I'll say the big fiddlers tend to be further from the main water. Look for areas with tall grass that have standing water like mud puddles and go when it's the hottest part of the day and low tide and they'll all be out of their holes. Mud crabs burrow holes in the bank mud that are easy to spot because they make it look like swiss cheese but digging them up can be really tough. You can find some hiding under rocks along the shore but the rocks have to be below the high water line and they have to be laying on mud and not sand. Oyster beds are another good spot to find the mud crabs but like I said it's a ton of work.
I've been on reds that barely do anything all day but the second the sun sets they'll start smashing mullet against the bank and won't stop for hours. Jigging trout on swimbaits in a spot where even live shrimp doesn't produce many during the day and both of my biggest sheepshead and my PB trout were caught after dark. It's truly a different world after dark.
Just a big cooler with an aerator. It's one of the stronger aerators with two hoses and I fill it with fresh clean ICW water and keep it in the back of the truck.
@@FishingwithBrewski I guess I don’t tend to fish where people are. And since I’ve only got like 2 subscribers it’s pretty hard to run into anyone. You been up around New Bern lately?

You’re back!!!! Good to see fishing videos from our local waters. I love your content and I appreciate your efforts.
I was really surprised to get down there and find I had the bridge all to myself. Guess the heat ran everybody off.

Thank you! Good to be back. If we can just get my wife to be half that supportive of all my extra time on the water I'll be in great shape! haha
I'm in swansboro , just ran across your channel . Maybe see ya around

Saw a guy slaying them off of a seawall in topsail couple weeks ago. He was using sea urchins. I know where you’re at and I’m going this weekend lol
I would love to see some night fishing content. I have been thinking about trying do do more. It is too hot to fish even a few hours into the day.

I hope to see more videos in general, but seeing your setup for this would be awesome. @@FishingwithBrewski

You run into subscribers and people want to talk to you? 🤷🏼♂️
When I fish certain areas I see them a lot.
