What an awesome video. This is why Waddell is the man. Not only hunting videos but a very good land management and habitat video. Best in the business.
It's a amazing feeling watching my small 80 acre (young) pine plantation develop into a beautiful wildlife property. I have a 30 horse john deer tractor with a bucket and a few implements. I can't count the trees I have pushed over for clearings with it.I planted various apple, pear, and persimmon Food lots for the deer. It takes alot of sweat and grit to keep up with all that in the summer by myself, but WOW the feeling of hunting my own property is hard to explain. You have a beautiful property Waddie! Keep up the good work 👍
nice last tip about the pallets. I have firewood stacked outside on pallets and my dog is always looking for the rabbits that hide under them. I never thought about purposely placing them around the property for cover.
That’s good stuff Waddell. Your doin good. Your farm looks awesome. I let my fields grow up to. But them pallets leave nails behind, hard on tires. Just saying

I completely enjoy hearing anything you have to say. I have watched you from the beginning.

Just have to be mindful of where you put them, cause of the nails.
Pecan makes excellent smoking wood. If those trees still produce pecans, that is a bonus for you and your wildlife.

Good stuff👍👍
Was this a planned environment or over time had you moved on one piece at a time?
You have Pines, but where did the Oaks and Dogwoods go? Thats taking food away from the wildlife, vs some natural grass.
We've got plenty of white & red oaks (even mountain oaks) and dogwoods scattered throughout. The tough thing is having so many sweetgums
Are you going to be home this weekend so I can bring Holton over to shoot his guns with you
