This video and this Cliffe Knechtle and Stuart Knechtle have never addressed the fact that the bible doesn't have anything to do with the USA and it's people. Why this Cliffe Knechtle doesn't and has never mentioned how the bible doesn't have anything to do with the USA and it's people, as Cliffe Knechtle knows that the bible doesn't have anything to do with the USA and it's people. The USA and it's people aren't the only actual country and people that the bible doesn't have anything to do with them in anyway.

One of the best and most underrated apologist of our times. His way of lovingly and humbly speaking to others will soften so many more hearts for the Holy Spirit to work on and lead to Christ instead of standing on a corner yelling and preaching. He preaches the Gospel to others not at others. He doesn’t water down the Gospel down like many others today just to make Christianity more appealing either. You don’t have to make it more palatable. You just have to be genuine and do it with love like Cliffe.

I respect your transparency. If we accept Paul’s account of 1 Corinthians. 15 where he says 500 eyewitnesses saw Jesus raised, it’s also important to accept what he writes right after: “most of whom are still alive”. This means that when Paul was writing 1 Cor 15, there were at least 251 people that could refute his claims. WE HAVE NO RECORDED REFUTATIONS! from anyone in that time. We have dismissals of the evidence, but there are no eyewitnesses or people that walked with Jesus that said “he did not raise”. Just a thought.

@alexpecina6316 , we also have no records from the 23,500 of the 24,000 or so residents of Jerusalem that we all agree didn't see a risen Jesus. So, in the case there was no risen Jesus, there's no reason to expect we'd have records from another 500 who didn't see him. History has run this test, and all the evidence is that records of this type either aren't generated or aren't preserved.

I love these videos. The questions asked are hard ones, and sometimes they are pretty aggressive. Cliffe is unafraid of answering, "I do not know." He is humble and patient but provides exceptional logic to reinforce the structures of his beliefs. We have rational minds, which challenge us to struggle with many mysteries, but there is ample evidence (which Cliffe often discusses) to reach truthful conclusions. Some people want exact answers to every question in the universe. They may need to lower their expectations. We are not entitled and almost certainly not even equipped to understand the mind or will of God. God is not obliged to directly answer us or tangibly prove himself to each individual as some (egotists) believe he should. Look around you and be grateful instead.

"I am primarily the creator of a new code of morality which has so far been believed impossible, namely a morality not based on faith, not on arbitrary whim, not on emotion, not on arbitrary edict, mystical or social, but on reason; a morality that can be proved by means of logic which can be demonstrated to be true and necessary.
Now may I define what my morality is? Since man’s mind is his basic means of survival […] he has to hold reason as an absolute, by which I mean that he has to hold reason as his only guide to action, and that he must live by the independent judgment of his own mind; that his highest moral purpose is the achievement of his own happiness […] that each man must live as an end in himself, and follow his own rational self-interest."

Morality has always been a huge problem for religion. A religious person can be moral, but they have no way to explain, through faith, why any act is right or wrong. See how badly apologists fail on this. Or can any apologist manage it? All true morality is humanistic.

    • @hoid4715

This is hilarious. It has the situation completely backwards. If there is an all powerful creator then everything belongs to the creator and their decree defines morality.
Morality as a relative human concept is the huge problem and it’s a problem for atheists because if it’s relative then slavery, theft, murder, can’t be called absolutely wrong. If it’s all relative, any action can be justified

@@Ozzyman200 I’ll make it very simple. We believe God exists therefore there are certain things that are ABSOLUTELY morally wrong since he has defined it clearly for us. It doesn’t matter if a lunatic thinks it’s good to mass murder kids, because it’s ABSOLUTELY wrong to do that according to the god who will judge our wrongdoings.
You believe god does not exist therefore humans make their own interpretations of what’s ABSOLUTELY morally wrong. This means that whatever you define as good is good and whatever I define as good is good because it’s simply a matter of opinion. There is no judge or referee to say “hey that’s absolutely wrong”. If I think feeding the homeless is good then it’s good, but if I also think mass murdering kids is good then it’s good. Neither of those options are absolutely wrong because it’s all relative to how you as a human define right and wrong. I’m sure hitler truly believed in his heart that he was right.
Religion doesn’t have a problem with morality, atheists do but you can’t admit that if you truly believe what you’re saying you’d have to admit that the opposite of your beliefs about morality is just as equally valid and true. One country says raping women is wrong then it’s wrong in that country, another says raping women is right then it’s right in that country. If you follow your own logic you can’t say “raping a woman is absolutely wrong”, you’d have to say “I believe rape is wrong but I understand that in your country it’s not so therefore I’m not going to intervene as this is the cultural norm and you truly believe you are right in doing this”. You can feel some way about it however you can’t say they are ABSOLUTELY wrong because that’s not how their society defines wrong. A Christian would say “rape is absolutely wrong because you are defiling another person that god has given equal innate value to so I don’t care if this is a norm where you are, I cannot allow you to rape that woman”. Atheists like to make big claims about morality when in truth your worldview is morally bankrupt.

@jasonnoble7302 He did in Genesis with Adam and Eve. Their was no suffering they were living in paradise, and they still deceived and listen to the serpent eating the apple of knowledge. So since God knows human nature will ultimately choose the Devil even if we were living in paradise, he placed us on the Earth that became corrupted with the Devil. Whoever truly loves him see the evil and wickedness of the world and seeks him will choose God instead of this world. That's what I get from it. God knows humans are sinners in their nature but he also knows that Adam and Eve were tricked and ignorant so God is being fair and giving us a fair chance to choose him. He gave us enough of his beauty and joys of life to know he exist but also lets us see the wickedness of the devil and gave us free will to make our decision of what side we want to take. If God made a world with no suffering we would just fall like Adam and Eve if we were ever tempted like them showing that we dont truly love God. And if God made it to where we would automatically choose him that would take away our free will. So ultimately this is the only way we can truly choose God and love God with no strings attach with our free will as humans created in God's image. It's impossible to choose God with no suffering because without the Devil their would be no choice only God. And since their is a choice between God and the Devil their is suffering because God is just & fair and a just/fair God would revealed the evils of the Devil to the world even if that means bringing suffering to humans because it's what we deserve and are owed. So ofc God can do anything but since he is just/fair he doesn't do it because this is the proper way

Rocky III shows Rocky Balboa in the early part of the film at the height of success after finally beating Apollo Creed in that vaunted rematch.
He's going on talks shows, doing commercials, laughing it up with celebrities, even does a hammy exhibition wrestling match where he picks Hulk Hogan up over his head and throws him out of the ring, just awash in all the gushy celebrity lifestyle and adoration that sports champions get.
Interspersed between these scenes of celebrity jet set life Rocky is enjoying are scenes of Lang working out in some dark dingy basement -- SUFFERING intensely -- so he can be the new champ.
Rocky has gotten complacent, doesn't work out as much, loses his edge, that "Eye of the Tiger" as theme song by Survivor tells us.
Clubber gets a match with Rocky and Rocky gets the beatdown of his life.
Rocky at this point is all of us in our complacency when things are going well. We become spoiled brats with a corrosive sense of entitlement. We walk around in a vague cloud of what-have-you-done-for-me-lately dissatisfaction with life
Clubber, even though he is the villain of the movie, is us when we remember that suffering is not merely unavoidable but NECESSARY. This principle is something that athletes generally, but especially the most successful ones, understand far more than most. They know and accept that nothing great is ever accomplished without suffering.
Let's step away from the sports/celebrity world to something far more grave.
The college students from affluent families and good parents that Cliffe talks to -- so many of them will tell you what a living hell their lives are at the drop of a hat.
Meanwhile 6,000 miles away in Nigeria or the Southern Philippines or Pakistan, Christians persecuted by Muslims, losing husbands, children, houses, belongings, jump at the chance to party on receiving a piece of good news.
Again this shows that suffering is not merely unavoidable but necessary. We are broken in this broken world broken by humanity, and we need at least the occasional bracing slap of suffering to sober us up from our descent into demonic spoiled brat-hood.
      As CS Lewis put it:
“We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”

Athletes, especially successful ones, know and accept this principle. They suffer massively when they train. They get that nothing great is ever accomplished without suffering.
Times ten for soldiers who train just as hard or harder and then go into combat for an achievement that may cost them their lives.

Paul effectively says just this when he talks about the body of Christ having many different parts.

Essentially, we've corrupted ourselves. That's why, sometimes we think it's okay to do the opposite of what God commanded, but we are wrong to think that way. Our bodies communicate to us through our thoughts, often lying to us, in order to appease our own self interests. That's just one. Just as the Holy Spirit communicates to us through our thoughts, so can other spirits. Think about anger. When you're angry, what kind of thoughts do you have? Are they yours? What about when you're excited. Is there anything bad? You have the ability to think but just because you can think doesn't mean you are always thinking. He exists in our hearts and he's the moral compass. Yet we don't have to follow him. We can deny him and love but you'll soon learn why that's bad or doesn't go well. God exists in all of us regardless if we're good or evil so it's safe to say God was the big bang and he experiences absolutely everything that ever was, is & will be for all infinity & given time is an infinite loop like a mobius strip that means infinite vessels with infinite perspectives generating infinite experiences for eternity. Thus explaining why each individual has free will because free will is necessary in such a reality. Free will weaves the future. The bible gives us 9000 years in total from the very beginning to end. Yet time is infinite. This suggests time is indeed a mobius strip given the bends in a mobius strip appear at 45 degrees. 4500 human years of earth 4500 years in our eternal forms. This in itself would also back up quantum entanglement, string theory, creationism, reincarnation, past lives, dejavu and any ghostly apparition.

@savedchristian4754 The Bible isn't forbidden knowledge. God gave us his word through the Bible. That's how we know if his works us perfect or not, but the Bible isn't forbidden knowledge. I don't know if that answered your question or if you were talking about something else.

You are confused between the bible & forbidden knowledge. What did God forbidden in Genesis 2:17 ?

I want to tell you something.

In reality objective values and truths come from the eternal universal structure by definition
The Christian God is not the source for objective values and truths by definition

And then if there is no God, then we can’t define what’s objective truth because who truly defines it, you? Me? Society? Culture? Everyone would have there own definitions but not a true objective because we are only humans we have a limit

@@jasonnoble7302 No, an eternal universe does not necessarily define objective truth. Objective truth: Something that can be proven in the physical world and exists independently of a conscious awareness. For example, the sun moving across the sky each day is an objective truth.

Maybe start with the definition of an Eternal Universal Structure.
I have a hard time understanding terms that claim to be self defining.

I can answer why people need Jesus even though they say they are good people with the point that without Christ, every person has a price they will cave into the tiniest bit of evil in exchange for getting shredding life and where does that leave your goodness? Can you endure the scorn of men when they see you being so good that you allow yourself to be emotionally and even physically hurt for the sake of Jesus Christ and these scornful men will say that you are a fool not to retaliate in like fashion? So think about it, what it is you really need to stay good when the world decides to inflict evil of all sorts to break your spirit and get you to participate in its grand plan to subjugate the world with evil.
