Hi, Noraly! I love your videos because its like being there. Its funny to see people's reaction to you travelling alone. I am part of a Mexican family (married in). There is a deeply held cultural tradition to accompany someone when they go out (especially if it’s a female going out). Even if I’m running to the grocery store or other quick errand, my sister-in-law will tell my niece to go with me to keep me company, or she’ll offer to accompany me herself. So the idea of a woman embarking on this kind a journey all alone really runs counter to how most Mexicans roll. Even men will often go in pairs or trios. “Te acompaño” is a very common phrase. (“I’ll accompany you.”)
Mexico has a bad reputation thanks to the yankee adicts, insane people hungourous of drugs and for that situation we have many delinquents and we spend too much money to fight the delinquents.
old ladies from those areas ahve a strong character and they do and say what they want.. my grand mother is from Chihuahua but she lives near the Menonite area Rio Piedras verdes. She just never wanted to move to Chihuahua city with my mom.. my grand dad died 10 yrs ago, she stil lives there but there are many little ranches around so she is not really alone
Sometimes you'll see very small houses but the properties will tend to be bigger, and some of these people who stay even when everybody is leaving is because they are 'guarding' their lands while family in the US or Canada is making money so they can later build a better house in the land they already have. Some will stay because they find a calm, old-days, lifestyle better and their land and towns are a main part of their identities. Others will so that their lands are not taken away and split by (or between) cartels, governments, or worse... real estate agencies.
I truly believe that we are for the better watching and learning as she travels the world. I am seeing and experiencing things and places I will never get to do or see. Muy bien dicho. Yo he visitado muchas veces varias partes de Mexico y por lo general la gente is amable, acojedora y honrados. Another episode filled with the vast wonder of Nature through your eyes, and a much appreciated conversation with the shop lady. One woman alone because everyone left. One woman alone because she wants her adventure on her own terms. As one of Aurora's songs says, "I want to live my life, be all of its pages". Thank you once more for an inspiring and absorbing virtual journey!
A lonely lady selling water and drinks to make a living in the cartel territory. Her life feels so sad and she sounded little amazed that Noraly being a a woman is traveling the world all alone and so fearless, yet she too is fearless to be in that spot herself.
I loved your conversation with the older lady in the shop. Those sort of interactions, aside from the stunning passing panorama, are what makes your travelogue so damn good. Mike in Sydney.
I too love your conversations with people. Not only to I like the video of places you visit that I most likely will not visit around teh world, but love hearing from the people that live there. I wanted to know if this woman had family there and if so, what they were doing or if they too moved. 🙂
Can't add to the wonderful comments already posted here, particularly about how your charm and warm personality shines throughout your adventures - and also how the generosity of ordinary people greets you and wishes you well on your journey. God bless you Noraly and keep you safe on your travels.

@@jeffreykurley6141 That does not make sense. I was taught as a boy in school that America is one continent only. I have never heard of Central America being part of North America. If that is the case, then where do you put the Caribbean islands? Why not divide Europe too into two continents? Eastern Europe and Western Europe. The American system is wrong teaching that America is two continents. Complete nonsense.
@@jeffreykurley6141 Mexico is part of North America, no disagreement. But any Central American I’ve spoken with (including university professors, anthropologists and historians) consider Central America to be a distinct geographical region, neither North nor South American. I go with their definition rather than Britannica’s. Further looking into this, various citations indicate that C.A. is considered part of North America “in the Anglo Saxon and Germanic” perception, but considered a separate entity in Spanish-speaking countries. There are also different perspectives of how many continents there are in the world, and in Latin America North, Central and South America are considered part of a single continent, América.

Great Mexico. Love you Mexico and Mexicans. They are very hard working people engaged mainly in different sorts of construction in this part of Texas under sweltering heat. Amazing! Viva! Mexico.
One trick I learned in Arizona was using frozen water to keep cool. You can put frozen water bottles inside your jacket and then drink them later. They help keep your core temperature down when it is really hot. It is the reverse of using heat pads in the cold. Love your journey!
Yes that's why the lady tried to give her frozen water, but I don't think Noraly knew the reason for it. We do the same thing here in Texas during the summer with the frozen water bottles.
Amazing scenery Noraly. Wonderful spot for adventure riding. Hopefully one day the northern regions will be much more safer and a little less dodgy. Safe travels, keep hydrated, and have fun! Ciao!
“Mira mira mira!!” The little bit of Spanish I’ve been able to pick up on Sinewan’s channel. The scenery and the mountains are truly spectacular! Thanks, Noraly, for doing such a great job in capturing it. Your music and editing only enhance the experience.

Am I the only one who now, when crossing a state border on my motorcycle, waves my left hand and says (in my finest Dutch accent!?) "And welcome to Montana~" or "Welcome to Colorado~" or "Welcome to Kansas~!" Well, likely no one ever says Welcome to Kansas ... in any accent... but you get the point.
@@trevorjameson3213 I did it two weeks ago, 100 degrees from Denver to St. Louis... Kansas was never ending. Though after posting I did wish I'd used "Well, likely no one ever says Welcome to New Jersey," which must surely be true.
I enjoyed the beautiful views of the canyon, it was breathtaking! It is so nice that you take the time to meet and chat with the people from the area, it makes it very interesting, and meaningful too. Everyone is amazed at your courageous nature, exploring on your own. I guess a lot of people are used to depend on others for safety and comfort, maybe even, some reassurance. But adventures sometimes call for solo jouneys...self discovering and growth could go parallel with the discoveries of the outside world. Thanks Noraly, you are an inspiration, safe journeys! ♡
I am always amazed by the video taken with the drone and with the background music, it is so relaxing and peaceful. I just love what you are able to capture and convey to us viewers. Many thanks. Take care and be careful of the heat!
It is marvellous to see the people of Mexico that you meet are so warm, open and accommodating which challenges strongly against much of our Western stereotypes.
Hi Noraly, I just want to acknowledge the "hard yards" you put in to your channel, I have been following you for a while now and have come to appreciate your videos more than you will ever know. Every Saturday after a week of work behind a desk I so look forward to spending time with you on the trails. I grew up riding trail bikes, now on a road bike but hanker after that trail riding experience again, age catches up with you. A huge thank you for the amazing content. Safe travels.
I have visited Mazatlan as a tourist many times. I always made sure I timed my visits around the cooler seasons. The heat in the inland cities can absolutely smother my ability to breathe. The Mexican people have adapted, which is amazing. Lovely conversation with the lady selling water. She too was amazed by you Noraly. I'm happy you are traveling in Baja. Safe travels, so happy you are well.
So often I catch myself saying, "Oh, come on, Noraly, you're being overly cautious. Just twist on the throttle and let's go already." Then I remember that you are alone, in an underdeveloped country, far away from help. I live a sheltered life where, even though I'm a solitary wanderer as well, I can get lost or stranded and am but a single email or phone call from the finest professional and volunteer emergency crews in the world coming to my rescue in record time. Though I have begun to question some of my country's tenets and motives, I still love it to my bones for those and many other reasons. Keep up the incredible adventuring and know that multitudes support you in word and deed.
Noraly, Your enthusiasm and enjoyment of your ride and scenery is what makes your videos so special. Keep on raving and exclaiming! You are a joy to follow!!
that old lady manning a derelict shop in an almost about to be a 'ghost town seemed straight out of a novel...the isolation, the dust, the dirt covered 'everything' and the silence...what must it be like to live in such a place?
I moved to a remote place in mexico 8 yrs ago. That is just a normal little store. It is very common for people to open their home as a small store.likewise, many women will serve meals from their homes. Definitely a penny economy. It was very interesting that she said she was alone. It's unusual for women to be alone here.

Mexico has a bad reputation thanks to the yankee adicts, insane people hungourous of drugs and for that situation we have many delinquents and we spend too much money to fight the delinquents.

I appreciate the conversation with the older lady. I like to think she chose to stay rather than just being left behind. I hope that is so.
Some people enjoy the life they have even if it does not resemble ours This world is vast as Noraly is showing us, Lets sit back and learn.
old ladies from those areas ahve a strong character and they do and say what they want.. my grand mother is from Chihuahua but she lives near the Menonite area Rio Piedras verdes.
This young woman is our modern day version of some of the greatest explorers in our history, her bravery and perseverance are astounding. Thank you Noraly for bringing this gift into my life. ❤
❤
I think the lady at 15:31 asked the questions that I was wondering the answers to from Noraly. Amazing to see your passion and fearless nature.
Noraly is endeared by the locals wherever she goes.
If you're that lady sitting in the brick bunker in the middle of nowhere trying to sell water, you'll be endeared by every person that stops by.
A lonely lady selling water and drinks to make a living in the cartel territory. Her life feels so sad and she sounded little amazed that Noraly being a a woman is traveling the world all alone and so fearless, yet she too is fearless to be in that spot herself.
She has the personality and demeanor, oh yes and the looks that draws people.
Aww. She’s so humble she didn’t even heart your comment. Wait till she experiences her star status in the US and Canada!

You have renewed my faith in the beautiful, friendly people of Mexico. Thank You. We traveled often to Mexico when we were younger, and loved the locals.

You have opened my eyes to Central America and Mexico, nothing like I imagined, thank you.
And South America was like you imagined?
🤣
Mexico is North América

Amazing! Viva! Mexico.
Nice comment.

It is so nice that you take the time to meet and chat with the people from the area, it makes it very interesting, and meaningful too. Everyone is amazed at your courageous nature, exploring on your own. I guess a lot of people are used to depend on others for safety and comfort, maybe even, some reassurance.
