    The unique of Thai 7-11 is we have dogs guarding in every branches around the country

    • @edandtomo
      @edandtomo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      "Guarding!" That is sooo funny! I'm not sure who trains these "guards" but they might want to rethink their approach! These dogs are all about love or running away.

      I used to go to Vegas for work (trade shows) back in the day. Loved seeing the shows when I was there Circ.'s 'O' was a memorable one.
      Gotta keep that sunscreen handy though!
      Be well, Jaylene.

    • @edandtomo
      @edandtomo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah we like Chaweng for the restaurants and markets but not likely that we will be buying or renting there, too congested for us.

    Welcome to Thailand.... of all the places....why Samui,Thailand..??

    • @edandtomo
      @edandtomo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Je,Thailand is full of beautiful places, no doubt but for us Samui felt right. So far it’s turned out to be a great choice!
      What other places would you recommend to retire in Thailand?

    • @mchaisoccer
      @mchaisoccer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@edandtomo Considering factors such as convenience (transportation hub, department stores, variety of food choices), health (good available hospitals), and EXPAT community, there are other places I would recommend 1. Chiang Mai 2. Huahin 3. Krabi 4. Pattaya 5. Phuket.
      In terms of cost of living #1 & #2 are more affordable than #3 #4 & #5. This is only my personal opinion. And I am Thai.

    • @edandtomo
      @edandtomo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mchaisoccer Wow - thanks for sharing all your thoughts. We haven't spent a lot of time in those other places but have been to all but Chiang Mai. (which we are thinking to checking out in November).
      I guess the bottom line is: we had to start somewhere and we were attracted to the "island life". After a year or so, we might decide to go and check out another part of the country but for now, we really enjoy it here.
      Your points are well taken and I really appreciate you sharing them.

    Do you know the reason why there are dogs at the door at 7 eleven? Because of aircon, people go in and out let the cold air leak. Dogs love cold air ;)

    I had the idea of wanting to move out to Thailand for a year until I read that they only offer visitors a 2month visa.. and Canada only offers us to leave the country for 6months. It’s disappointing.
    How are you able to stay out of your country and into Thailand for such a long period of time?

    • @edandtomo
      @edandtomo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dear Alexandre, We are very lucky that we had the money to allow us to make this decision but the answer to your question is three words Thai Elite Visa.

    One thing you can bank on in Thailand...Always dogs outside.
    I think the 7-11s here in Japan would definitely benefit from having dogs outside!

    Should adjust your sound level of the music..
    Leave the same volume as your speech..
    Think this is the third one I watch so far n every time I have to lower the volume when the music come which is PIB!!
    Just a suggestion since heard u r kinda new to this..
    Saw you from Lilly 's chanel..

      Thank you, Jenny! I'm using headphones now as part of the 'final edit' for each video so, fingers crossed the newer videos won't have that issue for you. That being said I do use music as an emotional cue for the viewer and there are times I want it to crescendo.
      I appreciate you taking time to give that feedback!
