0:53 He offers a perp rollover
1:10 He offers his tailwalk
1:40 He gets stuck and his trainer helps him come up with new behaviors
2:18 He offers his nodding/dancing!
3:00 He offers a stationary spin swim
4:00 After getting stuck again but offers nodding and his trainer calls it there

I do wonder how they teach them the innovate. How do they know it's their turn to do whatever they'd like?

well with most trained animals, when they're given a new hand signal without any idea on what to do (no target pole, no hand target, no fish/toy/ice thrown in the water) they'll do something random. they get reinforced for that, and given the signal again. most animals repeat that same behaviour, but they don't get any reinforcement for that. the trainers then ask them for a few behaviours, little things (hulas, vocals, roll over, pec wave) and give the innovate again. this time, the animal usually does something different, and that's reinforced. this goes on and on, until the animal understands that the hand signal means "do anything, but don't do something twice"
