Answer to the problem at 17:25 Q11) B , Q12) C , Q13) B (I am not exactly sure why).. I think because as we approach near Q inside cavity, potential would go toward infinity..hence positive...but not sure why positive for other points 18:15 Q9) A , B , C 19:00 Q3) B (and it doesn't matter where the point charge at A is placed..answer will still remain the same as the whole spherical shell can be considered a cavity of radius r and so it won't contribute any potential term) Are these answers correct?
So ok, when we are near the surface of the cavity it behaves it seems like we are very close to -ve charge ..so potential could be negative...BUT BUT BUT my approach is this , we know that the potential of the conductor is zero and the electric field inside the cavity is towards the the surface originating from the +q ending on the surface , so we could say electric field lines are starting from the q and ending on surface , and we know that in the direction of electric field potential decreases....so it decreased to zero it means it was +ve before
For the distribution of charges on the outer surface of the sphere (of the video problem) - Using Method of Images for a charge in front of a conducting sphere. Q2= -(R/a) Q1 substituting a=2R we get q=-Q/2 and of course the entire charge will be distributed on the surface as E in a conductor=0 . Nice explanation sir! 👏👏
16:15 sir here, can we say that since the outside charge will not affect the potential , the Vc1 is simply the potential in case 2 that you created with only the cavity charges.

Thank you sir for yet another amazing concept explanation. Sir at 13:42 why we didn't consider potential due to induced charge at cavity surface and the charge at c1
Sir let's say we have a point rightside to C2 inside the cavity.. Can we find the potential there? To find the potential there, can i use the same superposition logic, that is forgetting the cavity first and finding potential due to the outside charges and then due to the cavity.. So should the answer be the same as what we got for C1 @ 15:01 ?
