Enjoyed your video on AC. It made me laugh when you went to the noodle house and said you were surprised when you were served the tea. I’m a lot older than you so when I was young every Chinese restaurant served hot tea. It was brought without asking. They would bring a tea pot and everyone had a small cup and saucer. They also served crispy noodles with a small saucer of duck sauce for dipping the noodles and everyone was served a glass of water. This was all before anything was ordered at no charge. The Chinese sit down restaurants are almost all gone. Most of them were decorated really nice and service was always very good.
Hi there. I missed this update after your video series. One other thing to mention is the Tanger Outlets as well about 4 blocks of the boardwalk with about 100 stores and a Dave and Busters opened this past spring
How about survival tips. Do not walk on either Atlantic or Pacific after 11 PM.Stay out of Back Virginia,Maryland, Ave areas.24/7 You can find cool cheap local eats on Arctic and Fairmount Ave's, From The Walk heading to Ventnor. Do not go the other way. Angelo's on Mississippi and Fairmount not to be missed. Historic joint,Frank Dean, sammy, many "fellas" ,cfood is tops. Get drunk with locals at Ducktown Tavern. Dine with locals at Tony's Baltimore. Both on Atlantic, But from Ducktown not safe to walk to Boardwalk at night. Avoid Texas Ave at Boardwalk, stay on the boards. Hit the Irish Pub,another must. One might get lucky and get cheap real old school room at the Inn part.Classic Atlantic City.Knife and Fork another legend, if you got the cash and get it. There is another place but you got to find i t, It's near Boardwalk and California. Best City has to offer. The Tropicana has most food options
Those are actually very good tips! Since we don't live there the safety tips you provided are great as we are not as well informed about those things. Also we heard great things about Tonys and we loved The Irish Pub, we are going back there to eat in August! We will also have to check out Knife and Fork. Thanks for all of the info!
The pier is going to be converted into movie and television studio space. There are still plans to have retail and restaurant space. But things in AC move slowly and plans often change. That is what the current owner announced they were doing. The "push carts" are called "rolling chairs" in AC but people have a lot of different names for them.
The Tropicana has 5 towers. Havana, North, South West and Chelsea Towers. Personally the Havana and South are my favorites. North is cool. Don’t care for the West and Chelsea. I love Boogie Nights, but if you’re at the West, you’re on right on top of Boogie Nights very noisy Tower. Chelsea is just dated. Havana is in the quarter right above Cuba Libre. South is great in the summer. The view is fantastic!
@@TheCompleteCouple Well, the original is on Artic at the corner of Mississippi (Yes, AC is where Monopoly was originated) but the one you walked by (in this video) is in the Hard Rock, on the walk from the garage to the casino.
Dear Lord, I’m all for splurging a little on a nice meal, but I ain’t paying $234 for a meal (for two). Nowadays, most of us can’t really afford that, but I sure appreciate you showing us the options. I’ve been there (AC) a few different times…stayed at Caesars twice, Harrah’s on the Bay, and took a couple of bus 🚎 trips there as well. Gotta say, as most would, it definitely ain’t Vegas. We stopped into all the casinos to do a little gambling, but walking back to your hotel at night is nothing I would recommend to anyone (even on the boardwalk…very sketchy).
Yes it was very pricey but wanted to show lots of options! Yes we agree and it can be unsafe at night. It's a fun place to do for the weekend but not much compares to good old Vegas!

@@TheCompleteCouple I absolutely loved watching this entire video, especially as I have a trip planned there in July 2024. Everything is helpful, well planned out, articulate, etc. Outstanding in every way possible. Thank you so much!

Wow that is crazy! We had no idea that’s how it worked, pretty cool they used to do that. That noodle house is pretty authentic then 😊
We have a trip coming up at the end of June and I found this video.
Staying at the Tropicana and you are very helpful. Thank you!! Steve

I just left a very similar comment about our walk back to our hotel at night (on the boardwalk…a little scary).
Cool video, thx will subscribe :)
Thanks so much 😊

Ahhhh thank you so much we were so curious! And rolling carts make a lot of sense, thanks 😊

Good to know! Thanks so much for the information on the Tropicana, we will stay in one of the 2 towers you recommended if we stay there next visit 😊
You want a good sub? You passed the best, White House Subs.
That sounds awesome! Where is that located at?

Sorry you do not enjoy Sack of Subs
If your MEALS BAD ....OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH TO GET IT FIXED...your paying for it. Trop would've absolutely fixed it
Sorry we do not like to complain or try and get free meals unless it’s extremely necessary
