The state of New Jersey is in control of the city due to financial mismanagement and yet, they neglect to maintain the main avenue throughout the city (full of bumps and potholes) which is Atlantic Avenue, and can be considered to be a disaster zone.

Finally a video that shows the good side of Atlantic City. Truth is the people there have been used and exploited for decades, so there is some unavoidable carryover from that. There's crime, like any other city. A few blocks off the boardwalk can be dangerous. But if you aren't hyper-focused on that, it's a great place to go. The beaches are fantastic. The food is outstanding. The summer weather is great. A lot of the videos I've seen take trips there during the winter and are shocked that a beach is empty in January. Next time you go try the Chelsea Pub and Inn, it's an old bar that's a pretty good time most nights. Food is served 24 hours on weekends. It might be a little dingy for your tastes, but it's been around since 1840 or something like that. Knife and Fork is also a good place to eat.

I frequent AC at least 6 times a year, it's definitely on a come up. It's really becoming a Family Resort area. I stay at Ocean which is my Hotel of choice. I Brunch at Harpers everytime I visit, the food is delicious 😋

The beach is really beautiful, and I'm a beach snob. The boardwalk post-pandemic is pretty sad, but still has a certain charm. The view of the water from the Ocean Casino windows is truly a million-dollar view. I don't gamble and wish the rest of the city was safer and more robust, business-wise. I don't understand why AC is so run down and the rest of the Jersey Shore is bustling and healthy. The beaches are just as gorgeous.

Atlantic City keeps coming back. It has been a resort for quite some time. Cesar's has a lot of properties. Yes, the boardwalk is very nice. I like to try all the pizza places. The redone Showboat might be really good. Not a nightclub person. Have to try Hash House A Go Go. Not a big fan of the Borgata.

Things you can learn by watching this video: You can drive to Atlantic City, you can also fly there and if you don't want to drive or fly you can take a train there. When you get to Atlantic City you can walk or take an Uber or a bus. ( These things are true of every city in the world so why in the hell would you take up a bunch of time telling people this?)

Longtime resident of AC...AC isnt dead but there are definitely windows and its based around the weather. Food is always good but the city is corrupt and massively overrun by drug use, mental health issues and a ton of homeless people on the boardwalk. I live on the water in AC and i can tell you its beautiful but there are issues in the area with robbery. You can stay at any of the casinos and the boardwalk during the day is great and safe. Not as much at night. If you stay in the hotels and the beach everything is great, not so much in the areas 2 blocks from them, its like a completely different universe. I say this as a military vet and someone that can handle myself and grew up here not as a tourist, its a good idea to be paying attention if you are venturing outside the areas of the casinos.
