- In today's FS17 time lapse video, which is set in Goldcrest Valley-
Our sugar beet harvest is under way today! Things start off well with three T4-40's all equipped with HR12's, although it becomes apparent that the headers are so efficient that we physically cannot keep up with them. We return one and keep running with two harvesters and are barely able to keep up with them, but we manage it. Finally we're selling just a small portion of the harvest, a paltry 1.6 million litres of beets to take advantage of a great demand that's running at the train station!

Here's what I've found when I do massive sugar beet harvests (I play 4x and 16x maps consistently so this is just my experience) You'll need at least 1.5 overloaders for each harvester you have. I'd strongly recommend you get 2 overloaders for each harvester especially if you are working on large fields. I've even run 3 overloaders per harvester and was only barely keeping up. You will almost undoubtedly need courseplay to assist you. It will be near impossible to truck all the beets from the field so what I recommend is you stockpile them on the ground from the overloaders. Either that or you'll need 2-3 trucks per overloader to be hauling to a storage facility/sell point depending on the distance. That is a bare minimum. You'd most likely need more unless the field is right beside where they are dumping. I'll usually use 5 trucks per overloader and barely be able to keep up. It can get quite out of hand when you are running a large fleet of sugar beet harvesters. Again, you'd definitely need courseplay. The single largest restraining factor for a sugar beet harvest is the logistics to move all the beets. As long as that is worked out, then the harvest will go on without a hitch.

So much time in about 20 minutes
My operation isn't that big but I still have a lot of beets and potatoes to harvest. What I do with the surplus is that I leave them in trailers, which means that I have to buy more trailers. What that does is that it saves me time by not having to dump the produce on the ground and then come back and pick it up later, I just cover the trailer and park it. I keep them there until there's a great demand for them, then all I do is drive the semi to the trailers and deliver the crops. Right now I have 11 trailers full of beets and 9 full of potatoes. The extra money from the great demand eventually pays for as many trailers as I need, but I'm playing solo so I can only plant and harvest so many fields or I risk losing the crops before I can harvest them. Nice operation you have going BTW.

Hey frithgar, I did a mission on the biggest field of RSV (I think the biggest) and the mission timer was 450minutes. I had 270 left over so the timers are set a little high (so you don't worry about 7.5 hours on one field)

How did it happen to you that the bots so carefully harvest the crop that the field is going to fullness rather than, for example, when picking up a combine when the uneven field that piece of crop remained what it is for the mod?

Frithgar i put the mods in the description into the FS17 mods folder but they do not work or appear in game.
Fish Rl you have to activate when launching a save game
Also, the Terra Variant trailer with the turntable has no image on the screen that you select mods or in the shop itself, so look for the blank space!

Not really sure what to suggest then, make sure you're not unzipping the mods, they have to be zipped in the folder to work, then just check that you're putting the right folders in
