Premarital Counseling for Christian Couples - 03 - The Two Shall Become One

This is the third teaching on Premarital Counseling for Christian Couples. In this message, we focus on perhaps the most important verse on marriage - Genesis 2:24. Pastor Charlie shows how Jesus quoted from this verse in Matthew 19 and Mark 10, and so did the apostle Paul in Ephesians 5 and 1 Corinthians 6. This is God's purpose - that two people are no longer two, but one, and no man should separate that. We highlight the failure of Hollywood marriages, and provide a reality check to Christian couples about the failures of many Christian marriages. The teaching closes with three practical things to consider for fulfilling the two becoming one call. In USA, 56% of marriages end in divorce, and 75% to 80% of those divorces are started by the wife. Their reason mostly is "I fell out of love" or "He doesn't make me feel anymore". It's all about their "feelings". The right for women to divorce their husbands and separate their children from the father was one of the greatest mistakes men allowed in our society, and the devil is relishing on so many broken Christian homes. Sad.
