- The Herald Sun has dredged up the Essendon supplement saga, and Mark Robinson even dragged Tim Watson and James Hird's relationship into it. Tim Watson responds, answering Garry Lyon's questions on the situation.

Wise words Tim. I hope James reconnects with the club. It's great to see him healthy and in a good head space now surrounded by a happy family. He will always be a legend of the Essendon football club as is Tim.

Garry talking to people about feuds and broken relationships is laughable.
I'll never get over the organisation EVER even thinking it was a good idea to let it out that they MIGHT have wanted him back. Let alone actually going through a process. What were they thinking??

How can anyone listen to this commercial station and I mean COMMERCIAL station. There on air for 3 hours but only comment on crap for a total of 45mins the rest is commercials and the same news every half an hour.

1stly Hirdy tried 2 get rid of the Weapon & Dank . He went 2 the CEO of the Essendon Football Club on 2 separate occasions & the CEO at the time ⏲️ said it would cost the Club 2 much $$$ money 💰.
It's not the Coach who runs the Club , it's the CEO's job .
Hirdy was thrown under a Bus by the Club , AFL & Media.
As an Essendon Football Club Supporter for 60 yrs l am a huge fan of both Tim & Hirdy .
James can Coach . He's proven that . James was a sensational player & incredibly articulate & pretty sure his messaging would have been of a higher standard than Scott . My opinion 4 what ever its worth.
James No 5 was & is an Essendon person. Scott is a coach who didn't get 2 much out of North Melbourne. In saying that this past season 2023 he got more out of the group than l thought he would. The last 6/8 weeks were atrocious.

I remember when Tim Watson first worked with Channel 7 news and was reporting (lying his head off) on the vacant St Kilda coaching position. After his less than memorable stint as the St Kilda coach, Channel 7 took him back as part of the news team, a decision that staggered many.

I tend to disregard anything Mark Robinson says or writes. I think he's just a spokesman for the Sheedy/Hird camp. The club must move forward, and not keep thinking of the past. Everyone who was in a senior football position ten years ago should be gone...and I suspect the only person is A Dodoro.

I don't believe a word Tim Watson says. When I was a little kid and he coached St Kilda he was at a Reserves VFL game at North Ballarat and I walked up and asked if I could please have his autograph. He grabbed my pen and threw it away and walked away.

@@patkelly6349 It's a pretty weird thing to make up 😅 To be fair St Kilda was bottom of the ladder and he quit half way through the season so I may have got him at a bad time but it was still a bit rough to a little kid 🤣

Many people at Essendon made errors in this period.....at no stage did James or Bomber put themselves before the players.
Were mistakes made...yes you would be a moron not to except and own that....but reading obsurd comments about Hird and the critism and harassment he and his family coped was disgusting.....people of this modern world get great pleasure in other peoples failings and the fact James and Bomber were pushed to suicide is ridiculous.
There was never any positive drug tests in that whole period just rumours and bullcrap.....
To say no other clubs were also pursuing this is garbage.
