Over the course of more than a decade, he steered some of CS:GO’s biggest teams to victory.
But time after time, karrigan just couldn’t win the game’s most prestigious tournament: no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t win a major.
Still, karrigan wasn’t ready to give up.
He clawed his way back to the top and earned the title he deserved.

To paraphrase: It may only take 20s to complete the rotation from B to A on inferno but it took Karrigan 4 years of effort to finally complete his journey from B(oston) to A(ntwerp). Now we can only hope Niko could one day complete the same journey as Karrigan did and win a major.

It wasn’t that he wouldn’t join faze if karrigan wasn’t there, he was gonna join mousesports to play with karrigan but found out that he was leaving to join faze

I was a FaZe fan since GuardiaN days, and when they split something told me to keep rooting for Karrigan wherever he went. Envy, Mous, didn't matter. And seeing him "F*cking do it" was the most amazing and inspirational shit ever.

Niko is the problem. Has been and will always be. Watch as g2 chokes every big tournament and then aleksi soon gets replaced. Nexa has already left and soon it will be aleksis turn. Then we will be back to square one with niko IGLing and destroyin the entire team chemistry.
Look at what karrigan has been able to achieve since ropz joined. No egos and everyone willing to listen to his strategies. I’m so glad niko the team destroyer left faze, truly.

Karrigan is incredibly underrated! The Best IGL in the sport. Glave is good but he has had it rough without Zonic. Karrigan has done it on every team alone.

The major happened a couple months after he joined and after that mousesports went on that insane run with pro league and stuff and then covid happened ruining the only real chance @ a major with mouse when they were the number 2 ranked team
The online era ruined them with their awper playing in turkey which has a lag disadvantage
the narratieve of karrigan not winning a major with mouz is just wild. "he couldn't make them shine at a major" bro he did incredibly well with the material he had. he turned an underdog team into a threat. you're just downplaying the impressive performance

FaZe vs Spirit was much better than the grand final against Navi. Antwerp Major was the signed when the underdog like Spirit started to shake up and push the high ranked HLTV team to its limit again before many Underdog rising in the Rio Major & Paris Major

The more I think about this title, the more it makes sense for Aleksi. karrigan had a fairly normal career in comparison.

They parted ways mutually on Astralis since karrigan and the dignitas core just weren't compatible in terms of style something which both admit to. karrigan leaving Astralis was like Aleksib leaving OG; on good terms and with an opportunity for them right after leaving. Before Astralis, there wasn't much to mention since all the roster shuffles were pretty standard back then with teams barely staying together due to the scene being quite new and with the lack of solid orgs to play under.
Then, after FaZe, he got to play with MOUZ where he left voluntarily when he got the callup from coldzera to rejoin FaZe. That makes 1 kick out of 3 teams. Meanwhile, you've got Aleksib who got kicked 3 times out of 4 teams. ENCE? Kicked. G2? Kicked. NIP? Kicked. Not to mention, Aleksib definitely didn't deserve to be kicked from ENCE and NIP whereas karrigan arguably did deserve to be kicked from FaZe considering his performance. I'd say even G2 kicking Aleksib is arguably worse than FaZe kicking karrigan (minus the fact that FaZe didn't replace karrigan) since Aleksib only had 6 months on that team whereas karrigan had 2 years on FaZe and with way stronger talent.
karrigan's been slighted once his career whereas the only team which hasn't screwed Aleksi in some way is NAVI.
Not the best igl to ever play the game, but the most dedicated for sure. To have this much faith in every single player he ever stepped into the server with shows his true level of leadership.

@@Hehehega ESL events are pretty big. Solid production, all the top teams, big crowds. But majors are valve sponsored. There is way more attention in the actual game with stickers, pickems etc and it will always be way more coveted.

Faze was as stupid as Navi, kicking a top leader cause one player was making a mess, just with the luck, that they got back the leader who won them a major.
That´s why niko will never win a major, if he stays like this. He is unable to share, arrogant he wants to do everything by himself. Despite beeing a low quality IGL he isn´t going to trust this to someone who is obviously more qualified, concentrating on the stuff he is good in and so he fails miserably at stockholm and antwerp with g2.
Yeah, when he was a newcomer in G2 and had no word, the team looked way better, then he got his confidence and started dictating ant tilting like an idiot if something went wrong and the team went downhill... I still do believe that Amanek, Nexa, Kennys, Hunter, Jackz lineup could have won a major even now, especially when Jackz is getting better and better
