Were you able to anticipate the one-two swipe roll catch, or did you just consistently dodge left in preparation for when he surprises you with it? If you were able to anticipate it, does he do anything to hint that it's coming? I just can NOT read that move. It's the only one messing up my hitless runs. Amazing work here. 14 mins of torture that I'm sure had a lot of heartbreak leading up to it.
In order to dodge that roll catch move you need to always be in the right position to be able to roll it and there's no way to anticipate it so you just have to react to it. Also yeah there were quite a lot of attempts I lost at around 10-30% HP remaining and some I lost at 40-50% HP remaining plus one attempt that I got four staggers in that I lost at 5% HP remaining.
@@Xerieh What's your favourite boss across all Souls games/Sekiro/Nioh? Or just a boss that's a 10/10 in your view (or whatever the highest if no boss is a 10/10)?
@@Monadoabyss My favourite boss in the Souls games would be either Demon Prince, Friede or Soul of Cinder though if I had to pick one I'd say Demon Prince. As for Sekiro I consider that separate from the Souls series since it plays so differently, my favourite boss in that game is Father Owl (the one you have to beat for the purification ending). And my favourite boss in Nioh has to be Sanada Yukimura.

Nice job!! Would you say this is the hardest boss in the soulsborne history to do hitless once you have mastered it mechanically? Or is malenia harder ??
i’ve done both hitless and i personally would say radahn is harder because of position requirements. malenia is probably harder on a first playthru but mastering them is a different story. there is an argument that he is much easier with parrying tho, which i would agree with
@@daimfr ahh i see so once you have mastered them you would say radahn is harder doing consistently? Is it by alot or? And would you say radahn is the hardest boss in the soulsborne or do you think some of the duo bosses could be harder mechanically?
@@daimfrI agree. This Radahn took me a while to understand that you need to sacrifice obvious opening opportunities to get the best positioning possible. And yes, enduring Consort Radahn’s Phase 2 for around 6-7 minutes is a significantly harder task than enduring Phase 2 Malenia for around the same time considering that Radahn has extra light trails that can easily punish you for a simple mistake, while you still can take small breaks during Malenia considering that her basic combos can still be outspaced for a moment. And yes, Scarlet Aeonia is the best attack for you to get a breather considering that you can just strafe around it to the point where it will end up going further away from you and well, that gives you way more than enough time to regain your concentration.
@@julianaskoe3260 it’s honestly hard to say. for the case of godskin duo or something, they’re obviously a very hard boss and wildly based on rng because apostle can just fuck you out of a riposte on noble. it might be recency bias but a lot of the radahn phase 2 clone attacks just do not seem like they were designed to be done hitless. when he does the purple rock summon into clone attack spam, the first 3-4 clones do so little damage that it just seems designed to be tanked. his actual sword combos are not hard to dodge at all but with all the light attack spam and clone attacks/performance issues he’s a lot harder to be consistent with. after you’ve fought malenia for so many hours, waterfowl almost becomes trivial to dodge. compare that to radahns double swipe frame trap, it literally makes the entire fight a game of dodge left simulator as you can see in the video above. if you aren’t using parrying or ashes of war then terrain can so easily mess you up when he does the frame trap, and if you aren’t in the correct position to avoid it then it’s simply not safe to attack him overall, radahn is harder because of jank, malenia is harder because she’s more complicated
In terms of hitless I don't think Malenia is near the hardest (easier than even Morgott if you control your damage against Morgott), mainly because Waterfowl is her only difficult attack to dodge and it can be cheesed a number of ways, or just keep distance/be less aggressive. DLC Radahn is probably close to the top if not the top imo, and I've not managed to do it yet. At least it's harder than the hardest bosses I've done, which include all Sekiro main bosses, most of the harder DS3 bosses except maybe Soul of Cinder, Bloodborne dlc bosses (excluding Living failures kek) and a few Elden Ring ones (Malenia, Morgott, Mohg, Godfrey, Radagon).
I know this probably isn't the place to ask this question, but I have no idea how staggers work in this game. How are you staggering him so frequently despite doing so little damage? I was just as consistent as you are during his first phase and didn't get a single stagger once, doing magnitudes more damage.
I'm not 100% sure on the exacts of how staggers work in this game but from what I know stagger damage works independently from HP damage so every weapon has a separate stance damage value and when you fill up the boss's stance bar they stagger. I believe charged R2s do the most stance damage followed by jumping R2s so if you spam those two moves you're more likely to stagger the boss. Bosses will also regen their stance bar if you don't hit them again fast enough so you need to be quite aggressive depending on the boss if you want to stagger them. I've also heard that if you fill up their stance bar as they are doing an attack they cannot be staggered out of instead of the stance bar remaining full and the next hit staggering them their stagger bar actually resets as if they had been staggered.
How are you able to consistently dodge that quick slash that precedes the sword cross? I get caught by it 75% of the time. If I dodge the first I get hit by the second and vice versa. Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🙏
This is so beautifully done that it brings a tear to my eye. If only G-S0ul were around to see this.

I had little hope for me being able to do this boss in my own run but this is proof enough for me that it will be possible. A legendary performance!

Splendidly done! Is this the world first no hit at RL1 NG+7 no parry/deflect/backstep?
I'm not sure, Dargonsouls told me it's the first RL1 NG+7 No Blessings kill that doesn't use auxiliary effects (Bleed, Frost, etc)
it surely is

If you mean the attack at 3:08 then you have to be in the right position to be able to roll it which is on the left side of him. (his right your left)
