Guardian sports writer, David Conn, analyses the contents of the report on the Hillsborough disaster 23 years ago that left 96 dead. The report by an independent panel, established three years ago and chaired by the bishop of Liverpool, James Jones, found that there was a failure of authorities to protect people and an attempt to blame fans

'obliviouslyignorant', have you watched this video? did you listen to a word he just said? perhaps 4.23 minutes is a little long for you to keep attentive, someone with such clear ignorance and insensitivity. The fans have been completely vindicated, that is the most important point from the report and is what the families have been fighting for. i guess you are being ironic using that username, or possibly sarcastic or just poorly educated.
"God rest the souls of the 96 innocent victims"

had police correctly dealt with the arriving fans as they did under experienced command at the duplicate fixture 1 year prior then there would not have been an issue with any minor hooliganism that MAY have occurred, as stated so many times at previous games thru the 80s there were problems with Leppings Lane, in 1981 at the spurs game at hillsborough there was near death, reviews to the stadium were not inspected by Council nor was any certification present. to blame fans is totally outrageous

When people are fighting for their lives/fighting for breath - they struggle. People outside of this struggle can misinterpret what they are seeing. There's plenty of video evidence from the event which clearly demonstrates that people where struggling to get clear of the crush - not jump into it. They were being pulled up out of it. Mistakes were made and mistakes aren't a crime. We learn from them. The smear campaign to blame the fans was criminal, and LFC continues to fight for justice.

Maybe it hasn't been "fully vindicated" as you put it, seeing as those "23 years of hell" won't go away.
