I've never heard a cantor sing so beautifully. I feel this in my soul. Especially when he sings אל מול הדרך smh..... just beautiful.

Beautiful. Note how Chazzan Adler was not using a microphone, yet his voice resounded loud and clear.

This is what classical-type training can do for the voice. The continuous breath ("line") and the development of resonance so no mic is needed. It's not necessarily "exciting," but it has cumulative impact. It helps the music go right to your soul.

I would go to this synagogue (and I'm a Roman Catholic) just to hear this cantor sing. Wonderful!

I can understand why. His rich and gorgeous voice surpasses that of any Jewish cantor in the last generation. What's even more impressive is that he was already 71 at the time of this recording 7 years ago, yet his voice still retained such a powerful ring, as well as the ravishing sweetness and beauty of his youth.
But what has truly made him so special is the fact that he always sings and leads prayer services with an extraordinary amount of musical taste and emotional expression. There are many cantors and opera singers who have extraordinary voices, but a great voice can only wow you for a limited time. After 15 minutes or a half hour, it starts to bore you. Then there is that rare singer who makes every composition unique, and infuses it with his heartfelt warmth and good taste, so that it sounds like he is truly speaking from his own heart, rather than reading words that are written on a sheet of paper. And when you match a singer like that with the heavenly music of the incomparable Modzitzer Grand Rabbi ob"m, it truly feels like you are being swept away by the heavenly angels.

Great video! Great song, great singing, and great filming. Can you please upload some more of this Concert plus more of the other Modzitzer concerts? Thanks.

Was this recorded inside of the sinagoge? I'm from Brazil and we must not use cameras or cellphone in it.. even in business days let alone as of shabatot

In general, rabbis permit a concert in which the performers sing prayers or verses from Scripture praising G-d, since they ultimately inspire people to become closer to G-d, which is a sacred service.
