I have been pet embroidering for a few months now and have people asking to commission a portrait of their pet. How much would you charge? I'm not sure where to start in terms of pricing
Thank you! I usually make a design to mark out all the color changes and kind of pick and color match as I go. I have a bunch of video tutorials on my Patreon for pet portraiture if you’re ever interested in learning!
So beautiful! 😍 You are very talented! Good on you for sticking with it all these years! 👏 I recently started getting back into crocheting. Excited to finally learn all about hand embroidery. Wish I started years ago! Have always loved yarn art🧵❤ Is this video in real time? If so you are a very fast sewer! Work of art! Well done again. I can only hope to get this good one day. Thanks for the inspiration, I have subscribed! 💕
Thanks so much! It is in real time. ☺️ that’s so exciting, I have gotten into knitting as well. I love anything having to do with fibers apparently haha What an exciting thing that you’re starting to learn hand embroidery, I hope you enjoy and find everything helpful on the channel! ❤️
I'll google the item if I remember to -- but just for feedback's sake, the mention here of water-soluble stabilizer is a bit confusing. We don't learn what it actually is or see it at all, just hear a couple of the benefits you get from it, so beginners like me end up with no real understanding of what's being discussed there or how it works. Great example of an expert being too used to their background knowledge and forgetting that novices have no such contextual information to work with lol, happens to teachers all the time, especially in my niche (healthcare education) :P Hope the feedback is useful to you or some other educational creator! And I still learned a ton from the rest of the video, thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience with us!
Every now and then (about once or twice a year) I open up commissions! I have a waitlist that I send emails out to whenever I am available if you'd like to sign up! view.flodesk.com/pages/64038923e53da0b99ec98a6a

Your thread painting is so beautiful! How do you take a portrait and plan out where all the colors are going to go?
