I believe our current Universe is a result of a Black Hole FORMING in ANOTHER Universe, so we are made from the matter coming through the Black Hole in the other Universe, hence why we are still expanding.
A black hole the size of a basketball ball would contain more matter and be almost 80 times heavier then the entire planet. A black hole. All of the oceans on planet Earth plus the rest of the land including the interior would be but barely a sip to the smallest black hole. I wish more people would bring up black holes with Kent because they completely smash his whole "Smaller than a period on a page period" bs.
Funny thing is with black holes the matter is compressed into the size smaller than the period on a page, in fact I'm almost certain that most astrophysicists suggest that it's about as small as the Planck length, the size generally provided however is just the distance from the centre of the event horizon, because you can't see anything within the event horizon so that's all we can determine
@@adamboyen4727 Exactly, the event horizon the diameter of a basketball would be almost 80 Earth masses. The actual mass/singularity is a lot smaller, possibly just a Planck length in diameter. Love it how Kent claims to have taught various high level subjects like biology or physics. He hasn't one single qualification in any scientific discipline. The so-called Dr and teacher whose major achievement is to make paper airplanes and shoot rubber bands.
I was re-watching the Aron Ra "Supposed Lies in the Textbook" series, and noticed that "The Preacher", as Aron calls him, makes his usual claim that he "taught high school science for 15 years" but then also goes on to say that he left in at least 1989. So, leaving aside my usual observation that "teaching high school acience" is *not* "teaching science in a high school", what he was teaching dates back to ca. 1974. Well. That's only 49 years out of date now, Hovind.
Yeah, and it's a self made problem too. Like, I talk about some fairly high level scientific concepts on my channel, and I don't have a degree in those fields. But with the internet alone, there are so many resources where a layman can educate themselves, and then I can try and communicate those to my audience and signal boost the consensus and promote the idea that scientists can be trusted. I think we need more regular, non-scientist people doing that if we're gonna win the war on misinformation.
@@AtheistJr I agree. Qualifications aren't everything and there are many science minded lay people. But Hovind makes big claims for himself. When he claims to have taught this that and the other at high school level, he should be able to demonstrate that with real qualifications. All he has are phony degrees he purchased to mislead good people.
My understanding of the atmosphere in the Carboniferous Era is that there was a higher concentration of oxygen, but that the atmospheric pressure was about the same as present. The higher oxygen levels allowed insects and other arthropods to grow larger.
@@simongiles9749 It's possible for the air pressure to have been different in previous eras (not that different though), depends on general temp ( also not drastically different). When giant lizards and insect roam the earth the temp was higher, and air pressure also (not by much, i guess, probably not noticable without barometer). I still fail to see how is that proof of gods , or flood, or giant, magnetic, floating ice shell.
@@pivanov3321 We should remember, too, that air pressure isn't uniform around the globe, which is why we get weather. But you highlight an interesting point behind Kent's ludicrous leap of induction. How does he know animals were bigger in the past? He claims that there is no geological column and that the fossil record tells us nothing. So how, then, is he justifying his statement that dinosaurs lived "in the past". And not just that, *specifically* before the Flood. Not after. Before. When this supposed ice canopy existed. So... how is he saying that?
the real reason that dog breeders can't seem to alter dogs outside of certain "limits" is because breeders only select traits that are visible from the outside of the animal's body. they do not make any effort to modify an animals internal organs because they physically can't see them and wouldn't know what they were looking at if they could. however, if dog breeders made deliberate alterations to the structure of a dogs heart, allowing it to more easily accommodate a larger size body, you could get increasingly bigger dogs, maybe even some the size of elephants. with modern technology this probably could be done, but it won't be done because of how expensive it would be and because no one really cares beside kent. i hope you see this comment AJ, as this point is directly relevant to kent's talking point. i will post this same comment on mark's video as well.
Generally people see no problems with baseless assertions. There's also not much of a difference between based and baseless assertions unless you include the reasoning and/or evidence the assertion is based on which we usually don't include until/unless asked. The difference in that between theists and atheists is that atheists also ask for reasoning and evidence of any magical claims and theists will brush it off with faith and god does miracles and not magic. Faith literally encourages to refuse evidence to stay ignorant enough to rely on arguments from ignorance and wishful thinking. It's not just that you need evidence, it's that you shouldn't look for it because it could make you question god or faith. Faith encourages believing what feels good and it tells you it's okay to believe whatever, regardless of evidence. It is not, and encouraging it constantly is abuse and it makes people more vulnerable to abuse and scams... and to Kent's bullshit. So yeah, you'll see a strong correlation between people who believe Kent, Kent believers who also believe it's fine to believe whatever feels good and only object when it doesn't feel that way to them, regardless of how it feels to you or if it's true, and Kent believers who suffer abuse. I bet that if you take 10 random followers of Kent's and check their personal lives for present abuse you'll find multiple abusers and scams going on for at least 8 of them and maybe only one abuser besides faith for the other 2. And if you take 10 atheists who watch AJ's videos/streams, maybe half or all of them have experienced abuse or know someone close who have but are currently not experiencing abuse or scams at the moment themselves.

At 17:45 Kent has been repeatedly been corrected on this. Those images he called “supercooled ice being magnetic” are photos of a superconductor sitting in liquid nitrogen with a neodymium magnet floating above it (or Vice versa). At no time is water involved.
There was video where Kent showed his science labs inflatable camping tent sized thing and he called it a “Hyperbaric Chamber” and I laughed. 46:00 is Kent going to say it? 🤞 “You’ll never get an attack helicopter the size of Texas”
I wish I could debate Kent for just one minute. I don't want a full debate because I know he'll just frustrate me to no end, but I want to ask him a single question: show me the exact shade where blue becomes green. Open up a color spectrum map and point to the exact line or pixel where blue is no longer blue. I doubt *Mr.* Hovind is smart or aware enough to understand the analogy, but asking for a single instance when an ape became a human is the same thing. We can see small changes in humanity over generations, such as the fact we are growing taller over time, or that children are beginning to be born without wisdom teeth, or the fact certain recessive genes are being bred out of existence, just like we can point out hue changes to certain extents while we are mixing paint, but we can't pinpoint the exact moment a certain evolutionary change occurs any more than we can know molecularly the *exact* moment that drop of paint ceases to be blue. And I know he would then come up with some bullshit explanation for why that isn't a good analogy, but it still stands that, if we were able to assign every generation from the first upright ape fossils we have found until a human of today a shade of color, it illustrates how evolution works. Although, since Kent seems to only care about observable facts (except when it's about his own beliefs, of course) it might be more productive to use the Fruit Fly experiment instead of an abstract example, now that I think about it. If I layed a collection of 100 fruit fly carcasses in front of you, Mr. Hovind, that were all from the same genetic line, can you pinpoint the exact moment a certain mutation occured? No? Then shut up.
Do it! I mean, you know that we need debates other people on standing for truth channel, that you can send a question to be asked at the end of the debate right?
I think I know what you mean, although I don't feel sorry for him, but this is probably the first debate that Kent did where it was actually hard to watch at points.
Wouldn’t the ice need to massively thick to maintain its place above the surface of the earth? In which case it would block out a considerable amount of sunlight.
I missed this the first time thru', In the section on high-altitude water, Kent is struggling to grasp the difference between heat and temperature. Space is cold because, although individual atoms in space may (and often do - one of the biggest problems in space is losing heat - i.e.: cooling down) have a lot of energy (i.e.: be very hot), they are _very_ few and far between, so the absolute amount of energy that can be transferred to you when you're in space is _very_ small. However, because the individual atoms are already carrying a lot of energy each, you can't necessarily use them to absorb a lot more energy (i.e.: use them as a heat sink). Of course, his argument sounds scientific enough to be plausible to the scientifically illiterate.
Another thing, you not only have to turn on notification. You need to make sure it’s set to All. If not, you miss them. I did twice now. But changed setting gave me your #short notification!
Too bad Kent has no grasp of scientific concepts and theory. He clearly has no understanding about the depth of science, and how we arrive at our descriptions of how our understanding changes, as we expand our knowledge. Kent refuses to expand his knowledge or understanding, simply cherry picking topics he thinks he understands at the very least, and adapt to his preconceived understanding as he attempts to vocalize his ridiculous lack of knowledge on most topics.
Most people that argue in favor of the bible usually are the ones most ignorant of the material. I don't have people that choose to believe. I am heartbroken that ignorance still has a stronghold on people actively choose an ideology that has never been in their best interest. The atheistic value of humanity is and will forever be greater than it's counterpart as their is no foreign ideology for the atheist to judge from other than that which is love. I'd really like to help Kent reach heaven as soon as possible yet I still wouldn't leave the guy out in the cold to die if I could help it. Everyone, never miss a chance to lead by example. Even if you get hurt from doing the right thing know you are not alone. Atheist share our joy as well as our pain and do so without judgement. Never miss your chance to make a difference, you never know how much it can change the world for the better.

Kent is inflating supercooling/superconductivity with magnetism. Diamagnetism is caused when non ferrous materials are introduced to dense magnetic field, but does not retain any magnetic fields after the impinging field is removed.

Right. You even have characters in the Bible like Jeremiah, known as the weeping prophet. The reason he wept was because he feared that his neighbors and family were going to burn in hell for not following Mosaic law.
That's not carpal tunnel syndrome with your two fingers by the way, that happens to me too and didn't start till I was a bit older. There's a large nerve that runs down your arm to your fingers that is getting compressed and causing the bottom half of your hand to go numb. It goes around the elbow which is usually where it has problems, hopefully you are doing something to cause it...for me I was always resting my arm on my desk and the pressure on pat of my arm was causing it, but any pressure that's on the back of my arm just past the elbow will eventually compress the nerve. Sometimes if I'm just laying down or sleeping with my arms by my side it'll happen. I've gone to the doctor about it its very common they say, just really bad placement for a nerve like that, there wasn't really anything they could do though they mentioned some type of sleeve/brace I could get but I just don't rest my arms like that anymore.
It's interesting that you mention that, because around the same time this started, I noticed that my elbow is also very sensitive in this one area. It's like, near my funny bone, and there's this spot where if I rub it, it feels sorta like when you hit your funny bone. I'm pretty certain that it has to do with my office chair and desk setup. I spend a lot of time at the computer, working on TH-cam and playing games.
@@AtheistJr Yeah I don't really know much about carpal tunnel but I had thought the same thing. Carpal is problems with a different nerve that causes issues with the other half of the hand. The one that is causing issues in called the Ulnar nerve so you can find info on it googling it, but I think that nerve getting hit is the "funny bone" so that's probably it. For me the main cause was that I had a corner desk setup with the side desk a little too high, so I was always resting my arm on that desk all day and constantly compressing it.

As my favorite comedian Bill Burr said once about eternity in hell. "Wouldnt you just get used to the fire eventually?" Lmao. We would literally evolve in Hell still hahahahaha
We could shoot a Hovind into it to check, but we all know the reliability of information coming out of Hovind. We'd still be nowhere, but he'd be really fast :p Light speed Hovind!
Right. Air pressure is going to remain pretty constant, it's the proportions the gases within the atmosphere that will change.
We could say: kent was not prepared for mark. 😂

And then Mark's response and question! I could kiss you, Mark Reid! That was amazing! 💙😘
The scary thing people believe Kent is speaking the truth and believe him. He is again arguing magic.again.
Could the "magnetized ice" he's talking about be superconductivity? I think he's totally confused and thinking of that when he said magnetic ice lol
Thats what I was thinking of like when you seen people making things float above a track using using Liquid Nitrogen
Kent's floundering now because it's dawning on him that he's becoming irrelevant.
The cancelling of his TH-cam channels must have really hurt him.
Haha thanks for letting me know that's great. Do you happen to know why?
@@tom2443 I heard a rumour that he'd been caught out buying subscribers. Considering that his old channels had a combined subscriber base of over 200K and his new channels have only managed about 1.5K between them; I reckon the rumour was probably true.
At 17:45 Kent has been repeatedly been corrected on this. Those images he called “supercooled ice being magnetic” are photos of a superconductor sitting in liquid nitrogen with a neodymium magnet floating above it (or Vice versa). At no time is water involved.
As soon as I heard him say it, I suspected he might have been confused by a superconductor demonstration...
There was video where Kent showed his science labs inflatable camping tent sized thing and he called it a “Hyperbaric Chamber” and I laughed.
46:00 is Kent going to say it? 🤞 “You’ll never get an attack helicopter the size of Texas”
I love how he keeps calling Kent MR Hovind, not giving credit to his diploma mill piece of toilet paper.
I’m gonna watch the full debate, but I’m staying here to hear you “Hovind” a few more times 😂
Guess Kent was not prepared for that.
😆 lol. AJ, your hovind impression is still spot on.

This is the first time I genuinely felt sorry for him.
I think I know what you mean, although I don't feel sorry for him, but this is probably the first debate that Kent did where it was actually hard to watch at points.
Wouldn’t the ice need to massively thick to maintain its place above the surface of the earth? In which case it would block out a considerable amount of sunlight.
Kent claims the ice canopy was "three fingers" thick.

Loving Papa on your thumbnail!!
I missed this the first time thru',
In the section on high-altitude water, Kent is struggling to grasp the difference between heat and temperature.
Professor Dave ripped hovind a new one. ☺️
Never miss your chance to make a difference, you never know how much it can change the world for the better.
i had to laugh so hard when kent essentially claimed that buildings can only be held up by air pressure or magnetic fields... i guess we can pack in the entire field of statics XD

20:45 - anyone else notice Kent slip up and say National Pornographic? Methinks he is distracted in this debate...
It is a common thing for him. Because National Geographic has shown indigenous people in the nude before, and that is bad, he attacks the source by swapping up the name. Same he does for 'wickedpedia' and 'Berserkley'.

2. Make up an explanation for that conclusion
3. When asked for evidence for the explanation, deflect with incredulity arguments and demand evidence for something unrelated
4. Domestic violence
You know, taking pleasure in someone's eternal damnation is honestly the antithesis of christian teaching
Does anyone believe anymore that 'man' IS christian??
