This is a dynamic, beautiful and heartbreaking composition by Stephan Carlson. There is a longer version of the song, but I chose this "tag" version. From the moment I first heard it, I've always wanted to sing it. We've all experienced heartbreak in some form. This piece takes us on a journey of hope and realization. As we realize, we find closure. As the tag comes to a close, I feel realization and perhaps a glimmer of hope for the future. I hope you enjoy this journey.

Man, Stephan Carlson is super underrated and you did a wonderful job singing this piece! Also, I don't cry that much. I am usually a tough cookie, but this almost made me tear up a bit, ngl! I agree totally Brady, except I totally teared up! I just discovered this channel a couple days ago and have been binging Tim's stuff. Nearly every performance has this 57 year old man in tears. Dear Tim You may never read this but I've had a full hip replacement and fractured shoulder and been in a rehab hospital for a month and all the barbershop you've sung has been part of the other quartet musics that has kept me happy so thank you. I get discharged Tuesday morning but listening and singing all barbershop has made the whole process easier.

Listening to this for more than the 20th time and still tearing up! What a God Blessed piece of music sung by a God Blessed voice! It is a blessing to listen to this!
I don't comment very often on TH-cam because I usually have nothing to add that hasn't already been said but I was so thrilled to see Tim sang this tag from Stephen Carlson. I ALWAYS tear up when I hear it because the pain of unreturned love is felt in the dissonance. You know how some tags you never want them to end? This one delivers and just goes on and on, down and down filled with pain that eventually resolves in peaceful harmony and acceptance.
One of my faves. I remember tracking this tag about 8 years ago. Love the chords. The longer notes that are held go so nicely with the trio behind it.

This one clearly shows that your low notes are just as wonderful as your upper tones. The lush harmonies near the end were well worth the wait. In addition to your voice, the production in your tracks is superb (and that is also an art-form).

Unfortunately, I don't have the kind of pipes that can sing all four parts of this, and I don't know anyone around me that would be willing to learn the other three parts.
