    I have a pit bike shop close to pats acres selling YCF/Sunday bike & Daytona motors and parts in stock. 🤠 I’m also developing some parts for them as well. It would be great to see you run it sometime and meet you…

      What parts are you working on Adam? I’m having an output shaft extension and support designed/made. I already have a couple of
      different mounts at this point along with a shifter setup that’s integral to the motor.

    The Daytona engines are made in china not Japan, about 7 years ago there was a bike shop selling a pit bike with the same engine and it was brand new for £1000 English, I thought it was expensive but looking back I wish I would have bought it , I got a nice 91 YZ 250 that was just stupid fast was hard to keep the front wheel down, I flipped it on road an fractured my elbow lol

    I’m trying to build one right now, there is a 190 with zero overlap cam. Don’t know much about it but I can clearly see the “Fe” work well. Any thoughts on the zero overlap cam model? Thanks

      As the project builds more momentum and we see more builds coming through, we will be able to address the many different options and variables of the Daytona engine. In the meantime, join the official discuss group - facebook.com/groups/633182428415371/

    How much power do these make?

  • @marmonatcpl
    @marmonatcpl ปีที่แล้ว +1

    And how did you relocate the rear sprocket in-between the bearing cassettes? Did you some how make a key way in between or is there a different sprocket hub that Dosent use a key way?

    • @NorcalKarters
      @NorcalKarters  ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll have to machine a keyway or pegs between the carrier. Would it be beneficial to have axles ready to go?

    • @dirtysock1able
      @dirtysock1able ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NorcalKarters wat sprocket size would be best for this engine ? N is there a sprocket hub that doesn't need the key way ?

    • @NorcalKarters
      @NorcalKarters  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dirtysock1able It's a shifter kart so the optimum gearing is going to depend on the track. You can look for the Daytona group on facebook and they will have more baseline set ups available for your particular track lengths. I'm not aware of any sprocket or hub set up that does not require an axle key. The force is to great and will cause the sprocket to spin on the axle, ruining it and making it a B to remove

    Can't use the power? Just learn to use the throttle :) With a powervalve it would be easier to feed in through the curves on a 125.

      This package doesn't need a power valve as the low end is very strong and responsive already, when installed on a race kart chassis.
