That's just positions on the track. Not position in the race. If someone on the lead lap pitted they would start behind her since she didn't pit. Therefore she got her lap back but still lost a position on the track because one of the lead lap cars that pitted passed her. But, a few laps after a restart is not a good time to show positions lost on track. A lot of people come and go during restarts. It takes a lot more time to regain it than it does to lose it.
why did stage 2 start after lap 60? it was lap 66 when the pit stops were enacted. is it always like this and im just now noticing? I would understand 5-6 laps at a short track. But ELEVEN?
@MrChristopherHaas, you're not related to Gene in any way, are you? LOL! I agree. There are way too many caution laps for the stage breaks. NASCAR claims its to make sure the order is set. I call BS. It's too long at every track we go to. If it's that much of an issue, stop the cars until their done with their Phonics homework or stop counting laps on the stages. It's a BS caution anyway. I understand why they do it, but it's pulled so much overall race strategy out of the racing that it's ridiculous. Do like last year, award the points but keep racing, everywhere they go...
