    To say O'Malley 'took the easy route and gave up' is just ingenious. He played the cage looking for a counter, waiting to get his footing back so he could move like he does. Instead, the foot never returned and of course Chito didn't let a counter happen. Sean did the only thing he could, which was a rather successful blitz against Chito all the way to the cage, after which he was backpedaling and tripped himself on his bum foot (which is absolutely Chito inflicted) and once Chito took top and the elbow dropped the ref intelligently called it. What you said is subjective and baseless, and I'm a Chito guy! Either way, great effort and thanks to anyone who attended my Ted Talk.

    • @sochioranmyaku
      @sochioranmyaku 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DBZSeanzie that kick that he took from Chito could’ve happened to anyone in any fight. If you get hit in the right spot there, there isn’t much that can be done. The Yan fight was close but not questionable. It could’ve gone either way (the significant strikes clearly go to O’Malley if you look at the official stats) and it’s a testament to how good O’Malley that he fought that kind of fight with Petr considering he’s the only person to make him look vulnerable on the feet like that.
      As far as the Sterling fight goes, it was a fair stoppage, and this coming from an Aljo fan since 2017. Sterling shouldn’t have put himself in that position. Imo that performance from Aljo is one of the biggest blunders I can think of coming from a champion since Werdum ran right into Stipe’s fist despite already being cracked coming in a couple times before. Aljo just didn’t fight smart at all there. He just let O’Mally measure him perfectly. As the much better wrestler, he should’ve been going for low singles, the way Khabib did immediately on Conor but instead he was just pressuring him by trying to get the takedown against the cage meanwhile giving a sniper everything he needed to get the kill shot.

    (People discount Sean's skills due to his opponents but in reality its impressive if anyone can perform how O'malley has performed. That's what people don't understand.)
    He started MMA young and basically with no background in combat sports.
    A lot of people underestimate O'Malley but I feel like his striking skills, fight I.Q., movement, feints, stance switches, timing, strike diversity, is some of the best there is. He proved his striking output cardio endurance in that record setting output against Green haired Kris Mutino. He can strike around high guards. He understands how to put velocity/power on his shots. Even when moving backwards. He abstractly flows with how a fight unfolds. He's shown he can make really good reads in the moment. There are many great bantamweight fights to make. All will be awesome to watch. There's insane talent in this division. Regardless of how u feel, It's going to be awesome to watch O'malley vs Cory/Henry/Aljo 2/Petr Yan 2/Rob Font, etc.
    Sean just had to take a longer break since Henry got his chance to jump in against Aljo.
    Nowadays we cannot accurately measure with PPV buys. (The UFC hasn't accepted it yet) Also most people thought we were going to see another boring Aljo win. Just like how Aljo beat Henry/Petr Yan/TJ, etc. So what press conferences aren't his thing? They are lame most of the time anyways. Sean is interesting to watch in other videos. I prefer when he appears in other videos, vlogs, collabs, etc. End of the Day: What matters most is How can these people perform in the octagon? Some people can't even speak English at press conferences or barely say anything, yet people still respect their performances in the cage. Idk why people can't say that this dude is a unique talent, regardless if they like him or not. He isn't the next Conor. He is Suga Sean O'Malley.

    • @DMark25
      @DMark25 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The issue isn't Sean's ability. He's a gifted athlete competing with an exciting style. His record is controversial but not enough to warrant discrediting as a champ after the Aljo KO. Sean has the physicality qualities to be a star, but he's terrible on the mic. Truly, probably one of the worst. Which is surprising how much sh!t he talks on social platforms. You'd think he would be wittier on the fly. Such as someone like Colby. The prime example of someone who can be funny when he's got something in the mental chamber versus his uncanny ability to stumble over words during a presser.
      None of this would matter, though, if Sean didn't publicly proclaim to be the next "Conor McGregor" superstar. All the while the UFC is desperately pushing this concept, placing his PPV event the day after Francis' boxing match.
      PPV buys are very hard to properly calculate. But I can promise anyone this; if the PPV buys are huge, Dana will have no problem making it known.
      Stoked for the fight with Chito though, fun stylistic matchup that has a decent story behind it. Merab is probably far more deserving, but the company isn't going to dissolve this experiment just yet lol.

  • @Sir_Parker06
    @Sir_Parker06 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    He's protected. He was given a bunch of bad fighters he could beat up and pad up his resume. He gets a fight with Yan is awarded a questionable win, no rematch for Yan while O'Malley is getting a title shot. He beat Aljo nobody can take that from him. But now look at his 1st defense it's against Vera, Vera has already been exposed by Cory, the guy isn't on that level as a striker and is a safe opponent for O'Malley. If Vera puts up a good fight I'll gladly say i was wrong but as far as I can tell he won't.

    According to Chael most fighters do that
    Look at Jones vs Francis
    Or Stripe v. Apinal
    O'Malley is just open about it

  • @Jacob727

    To be fair Henry just failed lost his last fight which was for the belt, Cory is hurt, Merab kind of missed his opportunity to get the shot and Yan just lost to Sean. That being said Chito is the logical next contender.
