That's awesome! If I had the funds, I'd do the same. I'll be 45 in March, single, and both of my kids are adults now - my son is 26 with his wife and daughter, and my daughter is 18 getting ready to move with her boyfriend wherever the army takes him (incredibly difficult to accept but I've got to let her fly). It's just myself these days wondering where I go from here. Good luck on your new journey, take in and capture every moment. It is okay to not follow societies demands in order to be successful, (having a 9-5 job, finishing a degree, getting married late 20's and etc.) all this is not required in order to obtain REAL success 2. Real success (in my opinion) is having STABILITY and HAPPINESS according to you and not according to the criteria of others Watching your videos has saved my life, making me realize that it is okay to not be like everyone else and get that marriage or job at mid to late 20's, and that it is okay to just be a traveller. Oh, the quiet and the flapping of the wings. I've lived in an old school practically in the woods (in Finland) and I just always loved the thought that I was there and I did not have to leave. I became part of the slow, silent rhythms of nature. And yes, Alaska is doing Autumn same way as Finland this year as we too had the (untypical) warmth just now and then all of a sudden: below zero and the first smell of approaching snow. Enjoy your way back but I believe you are a Northern spirit.

I’ve watched countless videos of TH-camrs going to Alaska. I’ve been there 6 or 7 times since we got married in 1982. Frankly tired of it. My wife is Alaskan Native born and raised in AK and we have been married 43 years. Alaska, specifically Anchorage is a Fentanyl war zone. I flew up there in 2019 from Orange County, CA to rescue my loved one. It’s a horrible situation. I am so happy you are one of the rare ones who actually did a southern road trip to the lower 48. Enjoy. We took our time it took us 23 days. Show us BC pleeze.

I was stationed in Alaska from 1981 - 1983 and the first snow fall was October and 3’ at that in Anchorage. Usually the snow then stays until around April/May in the huge snow piles on base. Enjoy the beauty of Alaska, I loved that assignment.

We went on a once in a life time cruise up to Alaska over the summer and gosh it was so gorgeous. The trip was a little rocky, but we took plenty of pictures. So happy to see it all again :)

Just like here in Norway nowadays, fall colors and crispy air. I too love this time of year, the changing of season from hot summer days to the cool autumn days letting us know that winter is in the horizon. I don`t living the van life, I`m a hiker here in Norway and film some of my trips for YT, but I love your videos. Been following you for a while and it`s been a true pleasure. I was stationed in Alaska from 1981 - 1983 and the first snow fall was October and 3’ at that in Anchorage. Usually the snow then stays until around April/May in the huge snow piles on base. Enjoy the beauty of Alaska, I loved that assignment.

@TrentTheTraveler Trent, donno if you know this fire starter tip. You can poor a small amount of cooking oil on some tissue paper and you have a fire starter that will burn for quite some time. Hope this helps.

We went on a once in a life time cruise up to Alaska over the summer and gosh it was so gorgeous. The trip was a little rocky, but we took plenty of pictures. So happy to see it all again :)
