  • I went some places and did some stuff in the Danish capital Copenhagen (and visited Malmo). Tivoli, Kronborg Castle, Gurre castle, the Danish national museum, and took the train across the water to Sweden.

      2 things ...
      1) Tivoli may be famous for the reason you mentioned, but actually it's Bakken (the hill) in the outskirts of Copenhagen that is the oldest amusement park in the World (established in 1583) and has no entrance fee, so totally free of charge unless you want to go on the rides.
      2) Colonialism .. Did you know that the huge and massive island of Greenland Is part of Denmark ? and we told Trump and the USA to go get lost more than once in the past when trying to make a bid, which the USA have always respected, and always will, both because we are in the same alliance, but also because of the reason below.
      In 1917 Denmark sold the Danish West Indies (now US Virgin Islands) to the USA, because it was far away and no longer profitable to keep. In fact, the Danish Prime Minister shook hands with newly elected President Donald Trump at the Oval Office of the White House on 30 March 2017 on his way to Saint Croix the next day, to celebrate the 100 year anniversary for the transfer day of the islands to the US 31 March 1917.
      So perhaps this is also the reason why Trump and his advisers got the crazy idea that they had a chance of making some sort of trade or transfer deal with Denmark regarding Greenland.
      What practically almost no people know is that Greenland not only officially belong to the Kingdom of Denmark by a court rule made in 1933 by the World Court of Justice, but also according to a secret treaty that was made between Denmark and the US when the USA purchased the Virgin Island in 1917, because the two sides not only agreed to a sale price but also to a Danish demand for an official declaration stating that the USA would "not object to the Danish Government extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland".
      Trump had apparently also joked about trading Puerto Rico for Greenland and was openly talking about the possibility of the US buying Greenland, but was not even allowed to make the offer, but told by the present Danish PM that the whole idea would be absurd, period ! end of discussion.

      Yes I'm aware he wanted to buy Greenland. Yes I know it's part of the Danish kingdom. My Danish friend went to a dansk boarding school with greenlanders. I'd like to visit some time on my way to/from Europe. @@agffans5725

      @@cupperbutt .. I'm of the tribe of Angles/Angels/Anglo and personally I'm kind of a "chameleon" that people of any trade will mirror themselves in because of my presence and looks, like in the movie "Catch me if you can", but you also look very Nordic, so may I ask about your ancestry ?

      @cupperbutt  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@agffans5725 most of my ancestors came to the US in the 1800s from Italy and Ireland. I did a spit test that said 16% dansk/svensk, but I know a lot of that DNA is in Britain and Ireland too from vikingerne 😂

    1:48 It wasn't always here? 🤔It's true, Sprogø was shaped by the ice, around 15.000 years ago 😂Sprogø was a ridge inside an extended mainland, which until 6500 BC was slowly engulfed by a large sea rise, whereby the Great Belt was formed and Sprogø became an island.

      the island connecting the Øresund Bridge between Copenhagen and Malmö is man-made. It is called Peberholm (Pepper Islet) and was constructed to provide a transition between the bridge and the tunnel on the Danish side. The island was created using material dredged from the seabed and serves both as part of the bridge-tunnel link and as a nature reserve.
