Ook al was ik berging chauffeur op bus met aanhanger, heb nog nooit kettingen gebruikt. En nu zeker niet, ben tegenwoordig gehandicapt en rij enkel nog met 4 wiel scootmobiel. Heb rijbewijs ingeleverd. Maar ik geloof dat ik de enige ben die een reserve band achter de stoel vast gebonden. Had graag rit naar de noordelijke landen gehad, maar Italië , Bulgarije, Oostenrijk etc was ook extreem mooi. Mijn laptop gebruikte ik met omvormer en gps muis, als navigatie. Echt fijn groot scherm en heb ook mifi voor de wifi. Lijkt mij leuk jou keer tegen te komen, maar ik mag enkel op binnen wegen. Dus joh doe voor zichtig en je weet nooit.

Ik vind dat je supergoed met je vak als chauffeur bezig bent en niet op geld bezuinigd voor veiligheid van jezelf , je auto en je lading !🖒🖒
👌🏼 goede informatieve video. En groot gelijk dat je veiligheid belangrijker is dan een beetje geld, zo zouden meer firma's moeten denken.

Jammer dat je niet echt zo actief meer bent... Ik leer een hoop van je, al voor mijn eerste rijles.
What You call snow chains , is only to use at the front wheels and on the trailer. And for My drive wheels i always use What You call ice chains But with twice the amont of cross links. Its better to drive with and takes You more easy away again after a stop. Whit your amont off cross chains You easy starts to spin off one after one off the cross links. And your type of chains also makes more vibration. For winter tires dont use anything without the triple montain snow star marking. For winter i myself use only briidgestone W990.on the driving wheels and bridgestone M788 with ekstra seip on the stearing wheels. It gives me around 100000 safe km on ice and snow. Not like thedrivers from east europe with M+S wheels that goes for 250000 km. Those tires are not made for winter and we see the result all over our country every day the hole winter. So drive on , stay safe . And enjoy your work.

Ej ff een tip: met het monteren van de banden aan de wagen moet je niet een luchttol gebruiken, hierdoor kan het schroefdraad kapot gaan en de band uit balans raken met alle gevolgen van dien. Je moet een momentsleutel gebruiken en op het goede moment instellen en dan vastdraaien
Ej ff een opmerking: dat is alleen als je je moer er scheef opdraait. Dus eerst paar slagen met de hand, dan de luchttol.

Yes, winter prep is very important,as much as truck drivers life.Plus Norway is not a place to fuck with in the winter,I do go North some times here in the USA-in the winter-I do not even shoot the truck off.Stay safe bud,and have good winter drive. TH

also need to watch out where you park, blody foreigners love to steal chains and fuel. the continental drives suck on winter roads, but the extreme winter tyres we use would not last 30k on warm european roads. one tip is to micro cut harder compound tyres for better traction. that wont hurt the milage you get out of them much either :)
but i just love my studded tyres. bigger and many more then legal hehe. guess fritz would not be impressed if pulled over there if drove with that hehe
I love the Conti's and you see them more on Norwegian Trucks as well! 3 years ago they changed the concept and it works much better. I heard the storries on the old tyre though, but it's not that bad anymore.
continental have too soft walls also plus too hard compund gives bad handling. å mate put some 4 year old ones he had sitting this spring. full tread on them and after 30k they were gone. S730 6x2 pulling heavy all the time tho.
office people in big companies buy them and drivers complain. think the older type had more grip.
i have gone over to using hankook all positions for both winter and summer tyres. very happy with how they perform and the price i get cant be beaten.
but i guess they would wear faster driving on the continent. i hear some use up three sets of drives over one winter down south.
Met zo'n 3 jaar mag ik ook voor m'n rijbewijs dan kan ik ook eindelijk vrachtwagen chauffeur worden ik hoop het zelfde te kunnen doen als jij

Why are u running single tire chains , if u drive real off road trucking , those are useless & will break , in Canada we run triple tire chains , covers all the drive tires at once & not just one like u r doing
I'm a long haul carrier, I don't go offroad. Plus we're running boogie lifts. We pull up the rear axle to create more weight on the driving axle. Your 6x4 is nice with some load, but otherwise you're also spin out more...
