It would’ve been better if they were to continue charmed from the original series with the sisters children or their grandchildren or continue from this episode with some of the original cast of the original charmed
The writers were not sure whether they were getting renewed. Neither did they actually reach out to the OG cast. They were just hoping someone would say yes if they did get the renewal.

The show never made any sense ever. If they’re going to do a charmed reboot, they should’ve used the kids of the original actresses. That’s the only way this makes any sense.
Well they were trying to be woke. So there was too many white & straight people lol. Also they had a lot of kids. So only having 3 of them as Charmed ones would be weird. I don’t think a complete reboot was necessary though. However a huge time skip would be necessary. Like having the charmed ones be the kids of the OG Charmed ones kids. So they skip a generation or 2 for a soft reboot.

@@realRYUxOHKI I've never watched the reboot, but I would assume they would test them, Piper would demand Leo do some shenanigans, and then maybe they'd just end up with the good old Book of Shadows test. This of course being after Piper tells them off. She got very cynical towards the end of the series, for good reason.

Actually, when Diana was introduced she mentioned someone from her realm had a vision. I said I bet they were trying to reference Phoebe. I didn't like the series I mean they made it more for the younger generation and that's cool, and the actresses we're very good. But nothing like the OG Charmed.

As someone who grow up on Charmed I have so many feelings about Halliwell Manor, I have never been inside yet after all what I saw in Charmed in Halliwell Manor is kind of like my own house in some way and seeing Halliwell Manor after so long brings a lot of feelings and memories. I feel a lot of nostalgic when I saw Halliwell Manor after so many years.
They should make it so they traveled to the universe where Prue never died. I know Rose will probably never want to work with Alyssa again but Shannon and Alyssa made up years ago!

I didn't dislike this reboot and the actresses weren't bad, but the Piper character, Mel, really didn't sit well with me. She always seems unhappy and displeased. You rarely ever see her smile. This scene was one of the few times she actually looked happy. The old piper was serious when need be, but also fun and kind. This Piper just seems unsure and unfun, she almost always has a serious or confused or even scowling expression.
I grew up with the original, and I usually appreciate reboots, but this one was really so embarrassing. I'm really happy is over. I just really hope new generation watched or will watch the original, cuz it worths it.
They should have had Shannon Doherty appear, first in ghost form, then solid to psychokenetically close the door, while Macy appeared and also did the magic door close with her

Like Brad Kern not keeping his agreement with Holly splitting holding the BOS every 6 months they'd rotate their turns. He kept it himself. Plus the other stuff. If the two Charmed shows did connect, the girls would've met adult Wyatt and adult Chris. Not Prue, Piper, Pheobe, or Paige. Prue died already, Pheobe and Paige got married and moved out, and there would be a bunch of kids in the house with elderly Piper and elderly Leo. It wouldn't make sense to connect the two shows

Nobody ever mentions how in the pilot episode when Harry first showed them the book of Shadows they opened it to a page on Melinda Warren, the OG Charmed One’s first witch ancestor and apparently also theirs. The drawing in the book also looked just like the actress who played Melinda in the OG charmed episode in season one when they summoned her spirit

It would be amazing if Prue, Piper, and Phoebe returned. I highly doubt they will. I think Shannon is still recovering from cancer. Alyssa is always on the news. Holly is doing her thing. Rose moved to Mexico. I asked my coworker/professor at Deck Nine what is happening with all of the CW shows. He told me Discovery purchased Warner Bros., and they are merging into Warner Bros. Discovery. This is why 90% of the CW shows are being cancelled right now. It is disappointing. I suspect Superman & Lois and Stargirl will continue, which is good. This is why the 4th season is only 13 episodes and was so rushed. All of CW the shows got Kuboed. If you don't know what Kubo'd is, Tite Kubo is the manga creator of the Bleach anime series. Near the end of his Thousand Year Blood War arc chapters, his health was not doing well because of all the writing and drawing, and the Shonen media people were forcing him to finish it up quick. So his story was rushed and cut off at a bad time. At least this is what the rumors are of what happened.
It would be amazing for charmed fans but it's not going to happen......holly marie combs is the only one I think I that would be down but Alyssa milano or rose McGowan did part with the franchise on good terms this why we never saw them in any of the past 3 seasons of the new franchise......I loved this show as a young adult and love watching the old episodes but charmed first started having trouble when shannen Doherty ( prue) wanted more money and they fired her and then rose McGowan became the new sister......I know this is long 😂 but just wanted to share some things on this iconic show that we all have come to love whether your a new or old fan......1 more thing 🤭 how the show should have been portrayed is it should have pick up with the last charmed ones kids taking the torch and picking up where the original 3 sisters left off, them creating new charmed ones basically watered the show down and made it very basic the only great part about the new show is how they made it more woke with the society we live in now that made the show worth watching because everyone could see someone like themselves portrayed on the show.

As many faults as this show had, I liked Macy's character enough for 1-3, and this finale was opening up an interesting concept to link back to the original series. Can't believe they cancelled it as it was getting good 😵💫 coulda just ended it at 3 then
A missed opportunity for a crossover. Season would have been amazing. If u look at the inside, u could c that there's a wall instead of an open pathway. which could indicate of same house as og, but totally different world and not what we thought. Unless some renovation was made.

They would've been considered as counterparts to the warlock's Rowe Coven from the og series. The writers would pass their message, as to why men shouldn't b trusted with power. Which I c that as kind of misandrist. If anything they would b like Sam and Dean from Supernatural, or Nick from Grimm. All good and protecting people. For that's the way of the Charmed Ones in any universe. Except for the morality parallel universe in og s6 ending.

After a lifetime of putting them down, you made me realize that men aren't bad." However, it doesn't mean that they had to be evil... it could be that the trio's power was harmful to them or that... who knows, maybe it was precisely because of misandry that the project was rejected. Besides, it's not as if the Halliwell sisters were a shining example of goodness.
This show had its moments, but they tried too hard to the OG show, and stole so much from it. I stopped watching before Macy died because it just got so stupid, but ending it this way was a slap in the face to the original show.
I dont know how to feel about this ending, I really wish they hadn't linked the shows, the reboot should have been its own thing because in the original, the Power Of Three was a destined prophecy of a powerful family line of witches where a trio of biological witch sisters from this powerful family line would become the Charmed Ones, the most powerful witches in the world, it was special, there was only one Power of Three. In the reboot there are multiple Charmed Ones, alot of witches from different and multiple family lines who didn't have to be biological sisters or related to each other what so ever had the title and literally anyone can be a Charmed One. While Macy, Mel and Maggie were biological witch sisters, Kaela is a trans witch, not even born a witch, she isn't Macy, Mel and Maggie's biological sister and she was made into a witch after Macy's death. While the idea is original from the OG show it also makes the Power of Three feel less special if literally anyone can just have it, now because of these two different storylines how can the reboot Charmed Ones (where there are multiple Charmed Ones) be where the OG Charmed Ones (who are the only Charmed Ones tht exist) are? The only way I can explain it in my mind is that the Reboot Charmed Ones went to the reality where the OG Charmed Ones are, like a Multiverse or a Earth 1, Earth 2 situation, I like the idea but I don't love it, it was wonderful to see the OG house but I still wish they had keeped the shows apart.
Do not worry, just take it that they are going to see their predecessors, their ancestors, besides they have lived their lives and battled threats in their own universe. Who is to say that it would not be fun to peek into another universe. The new Charmed series was largely it's own thing. If they have done this all is well, because I am sure there is a large part of the fan base(myself included) that wonders what a crossover between the two would like. Let us keep our fingers crossed. They linked the shows because people kept complaining about how charmed reboot wasn’t like the og charmed and how the reboot sucked so they just gave us this ending so that everyone would be happy or sth like that
It is a multiverse situation here. Diana told Harry she was from a different world/universe that had Charmed ones, and one of them had created the store Diana was stuck in with all the video tapes. So when they went through that door, they were going to a different earth/universe where the OG Charmed ones existed. To me, I didn't really care for the end cause I didn't want to see just the house. If they're going to try to connect the two shows, I wanted to see at least one of the characters from the other show. Even if it's just their kids. I would have been happy seeing Wyatt or Chris open the front door, but just seeing the house and none of the OG characters, I didn't care about. I would have preferred if they ended it by doing a time jump and showing us future Mel with her kid. She was pregnant last season with her future kid, I want to know what happened to the kid, who's her partner in the future, and who did she have a kid with? Wish they would have answered these questions instead. Also, I don't think this was the original ending they meant to have for the show. It felt too rushed. Inara forgiving her sisters and the three of them sacrificing themselves to save the world happened way too quickly. I'm thinking they probably ended the season on a cliffhanger originally, but then when they found out the show was going to be canceled, they changed the ending to try to wrap up all the loose ends and this was the best they could do with the short amount of time they had. It's not terrible, but I definitely think they could have done better, if they had more time. I don't blame the writers or actors for this, I blame whoever is in charge of the network and decided to cancel the show just when it was getting really good. They ruined what could have been a really great ending.

I was a huge Charmed fan in the early 2000’s, but I couldn’t get into this new series. It was too boring starting out, and it had too much of a fake like Disney channel teeny bopper vibe. It would have been so much better if they had made the new series about Piper, Phoebe and Paige’s grandkids or something and referenced them in the show. Just something more closer to what the original Charmed was actually about.
I love how they tied it to the original Charmed show. They did talk about different worlds in the old show. OMG im still trying to figure out what really is the next step. I was always wondering why Prue never visited them, their mom and grams did. Now I get it...she never died ...shes in a different world and probably got a new set of sisters. I love the Original Charmed ones and will continue to support any new ones. Most of you did not get the message of this season...."We cannot bring them all back but we can make what we have right here better" and learn to let go and move on. My fave character is Josefina I love her.
Well no disrespect but a lot of us the original fans of the original show likes original show better I have checked out a few episodes of the show and I try to give it a chance I’m still trying to give it a chance so I still try to check it out and I still try to watch it on Netflix and I’ll try to get into it cause I love charm so much but I really can’t get into it as much as original charm and that’s just how I feel and I think a lot of people feel the same way but I’m not dissing other people that like the show it’s just that that’s why my opinion and I just can’t get into it not that someone give me a chance like I’ve watched a few episodes like I just watched it I think maybe five or six episodes and I still really can’t get into it but I’ll still try to watch some more and maybe I’ll get more into it I don’t know and I’ll try to watch some clips on TH-cam to try to get into it because I’ve always loved charmed but I think I’ll always be stuck in stick to the original I just wish they did a shout with the kids divisional kids on charmed Also there is my prudent revisiting is the actor that played through didn’t get along with the cast members so they were never been able to have her visit anyway I’m just saying unless they would’ve had a re-caster

I love it now and hoping this show will continue. Remember when Prue died and they have to find another sister? Paige was not accepted at first ...Most of us fans did not like her ...until we all finally loved her and the rest is history.

Prue never visited because the actress wouldn't return even for just one episode or a slight appearance. That's why they had grams say they weren't ready to see her, to give us a reason we'd never see Prue again.

I watched the OG later than most as I was just a baby when the show premiered so I only got around to watching it in 2014/2015 as a teenager when I discovered it on Netflix. (I was so mad when they took it off but I had been able to watch all the seasons twice before they took it off.) When a new version was announced I was excited because I thought it would be a sequel with the next-gen kids. I was hoping it would be them growing up magical instead of them being all grown already.) Instead of either of those, I learned it was a remake and wasn't impressed. I have nothing against the cast but the show itself didn't hold a candle to the original. I did watch all the season but only because it'd always come back once I had finished the newest seasons of my other shows and so I'd need something to watch. I also watched it with my mom so there was that reason to, to spend time with her. She watched the OG later than I did though had watched a few episodes years before I had. I had only been ten back then and wasn't allowed to watch it with her. (I was a scaredy cat growing up.) My first problem is the sisters had identical personalities. In the OG each sister had a distinctive personality allowing them to react differently to the same situation. That was much more interesting. My second problem was there were too many first-world problems. Now don't get me wrong. Black lives matter, equality, lgbt+ rights, all of that stuff is important but it has its time and place and in my opinion, doesn't belong in a show about magic. My third problem is the lack of species. Okay, the last season fixed this but before then there were basically just witches, whitelighters, demons. That was it. Only one episode with trolls/leprechauns/fairies excetra before the last season. And it was only at the end of the episode. My fourth problem is there were no kids. I loved having Wyatt and Chris added to the show, loved seeing the sisters have more kids in that "future" ending scene. But this version doesn't have any, we didn't even get to meet Mel's baby. There were no flashbacks, no kids who needed help, nothing. I enjoyed the occasional child who needed magical assistance in the OG, loved the flashbacks, and how adorable are kids with magical powers? My fifth problem was there weren't that many humorous scenes. Like funny one-liners, jokes, or just funny mishaps and accidents. The show was a little too serious. My last problem is it copied a lot of plots from the OG. Like the whitelighter falling in love with one of the sisters.

My guess is that they probably wouldn't have been able to afford any of the actors. So, we would have gotten teenage versions of Piper's kids interacting with them next season had it aired with them claiming that the Charmed ones are off on another plane of existence fighting. MAYBE they could have gotten a ghost Prue. However, HMC has very much made it clear she hates this show and concept. AM would be the most expensive. RM is not mentally well. So... MAYBE they would be able to nab Shannon and even then Idk considering Shannon and Holly are very close friends (not that it stopped Holly from appearing with AM after Shannon was fired). I guess we will never know and honestly never watched the reboot. Maybe I'll try now but I was more mad that they were Witches living in Michigan since I have a life long novel of Witches from Michigan than them rebooting the series. Petty but yeah lol

Well it definitely went under renovations. The original house, when you open the door way there wasn't a wall, you could look straight down to the dining room. If they were trying to tell the audience that they were meeting up with the original Charmed ones, they would have had a previous original members relative open the door. Also I think the lowest on the paygrade would have been the actor who played Wyatt as an adult, so I'm sure he would have made an appearance for a paycheck. Unless he had issues with this Charmed version and didn't want to do it. If they were trying to tell the girls, to move on and there's more to it, they would have sent them to the house that was in the middle of everything. It is located on a Spiritual Nexus.
The layout looks different because the original show was filmed on a set on a sound stage. Look for a clip or pictures of the charmed set and you'll see what I mean. This is the actual house used for exterior shots of the original show and has always had that wall. The layout that you're talking about was a set on a sound stage. The set was also created to replicate on some level, this actual house's design elements but the layout in this house is the original and the show was filmed on a set. The house has not gone under any changes to look the way it does niw. It has always been this way and the wall was built when the house was built. This house was built by the Innes family. Nothing about it has changed. You're just looking at the set and thinking that it's the real house, but its not. Again, only the exterior / outside shots of this house were used in the original show. The house's layout on the original show is a set. Google it if you don't believe what I'm telling you.
The truth is who ever planned that this is the way they were gonna go with the series ruined a legacy. Like there was soo much they could have done. They basically just pretend the whole time that the previous charmed ones didn't exist as it was some alternate universe. I was not interested. And I have been a fan for years of charmed.
The thing is I liked the reboot of the charmed series it had real potential to be something spectacular but the writers and the showrunners kind of sabotaged it even though some of them was on the original show. then you had the debacle with one of the actress leaving the show that was the missing sister then the debacle with the next charm that they had to find after everything turned out with that weird storyline. I get why they didn't renew them even though the CW was going in another direction with their programming.
This whole show was a missed opportunity to maks something good out of an old, fantastic show. The reboot could have been so much better, but they chose war.
Ironically Combs hated the reboot and wanted the Brad Kern treatment of writing, But she recently revealed after Doriety left because of Milano The network blackmailed her into not leaving Charmed with Doriety by saying any job she tried to get after they'd make sure she would get lower wages. So Combs was stuck the remaining 5 seasons with no choice.
The house was definitely not the original house but a replica 😂 the inside wasn’t that narrow, they had a long hallway, and the outside of the house looks off. I thought the attic was bigger than that?
You're definitely not a real charmed fan, cause that is the actual house in Echo Park, LA. The interiors you see in OG charmed is filmed in the sets of Warner Brothers, including the attic. They only used B-rolls and filmed outside when they need to. The only time they really filmed in the actual house was PILOT s01x01, with alyssa or without alyssa (the previous phoebe). You will know cause when Prue opened that door, its the stair to the second floor, in the set of charmed it is a long hall way, then stairs.

Thank you to the CW for bringing Charmed for a second revival. This show got me through the covid19 pandemic. I pray that Netflix will save Charmed for a 5th season and so on. I'll miss Macy, Mel, Maggie, and Mikaela.

I asked my coworker/professor at Deck Nine what is happening with all of the CW shows. He told me Discovery purchased Warner Bros., and they are merging into Warner Bros. Discovery. This is why 90% of the CW shows are being cancelled right now. It is disappointing. I suspect Superman & Lois and Stargirl will continue, which is good. This is why the 4th season is only 13 episodes and was so rushed. All of CW the shows got Kuboed. If you don't know what Kubo'd is, Tite Kubo is the manga creator of the Bleach anime series. Near the end of his Thousand Year Blood War arc chapters, his health was not doing well because of all the writing and drawing, and the Shonen media people were forcing him to finish it up quick. So his story was rushed and cut off at a bad time. At least this is what the rumors are of what happened.
I agree, I prefer the original, but the reboot is not bad and it was just starting to get really good. I feel like they canceled it right when it was getting to it's peak and that sucks. It would be great if Netflix could pick it up cause some of the Netflix writers are great! The did an amazing job when they picked up Lucifer.

I'm glad this show is finished - it doesn't hold a candle to the original. Such a shame, I was really looking forwards to seeing what they will do in a reboot - and it's just fallen into the trap of all reboots in this past decade. Nothing original, trying to shove down the same ideas - the OG had so much actual charm, and the sisters were each different and likeable. It's sad to think it will be another 20 years now that we can wait for another reboot.
See, that just feels kinda cheap? Like the ending that Charmed (1998) had felt like such a closure and homecoming of all the seasons, this kinda feels like they didn't have a strong enough ending on Charmed (2018)'s own merit, you know?
I think the next season was suppose to be a crossover but they couldn't get the OG to renew their characters. Either cause of fight between OG charmed VS new charmed. or cause of fight between shannon holly and rose VS Alyssa. So they ended it at the manner. The next season never happened. Next season would of been 7 or 8 witches trying to protect charmed multiverse by defending source charmed earth. piper and paige from EARTH 1 PRUE from EARTH 2 and maybe phoebe if Alyssa is willing to work with shannon holly and rose without the drama. Mel maggie and kaela from EARTH 3 and MACY from EARTH 4. 7 or 8 witches teaming up against demon of fear the source zancu and evil charmed ones and evil elders like the one who wanted to kill a baby. every demon that came close to defeating the charmed ones and evey demon that keeps coming back. Basically 7 or 8 witches against an army of the most powerful and dangerous demons they ever encountered.
I see what the writers may have been trying to do. After 4 seasons and destroying the book of shadows they wanted to have the og pass the torch. They knew it was a long shot so before reaching out to the cast of the original, they had the first p3 in the reboot pass the torch then die.
It’s amazing how people who “hate” this show are finding so many ways to make this disrespectful. This was a good bye for people who loved both shows regardless of the differences. It’s over now damn OG charmed fans got their wish for an old show they can still watch shut the hell up and let ppl be happy 😒

I watched the reboot, I didn't hate it but they made so many questionable decisions (Like teleporting the house to an entire new location in season 2, adding way too much politic, no connection to the original, etc). After Macy died (really the only character I liked), I lost interest. I am curious, if they got a season 5, what would have happened after this finale.

The writers were not sure whether they were getting renewed. Neither did they actually reach out to the OG cast. They were just hoping someone would say yes if they did get the renewal.

As someone who grow up on Charmed I have so many feelings about Halliwell Manor, I have never been inside yet after all what I saw in Charmed in Halliwell Manor is kind of like my own house in some way and seeing Halliwell Manor after so long brings a lot of feelings and memories. I feel a lot of nostalgic when I saw Halliwell Manor after so many years.
They should make it so they traveled to the universe where Prue never died. I know Rose will probably never want to work with Alyssa again but Shannon and Alyssa made up years ago!

I didn't dislike this reboot and the actresses weren't bad, but the Piper character, Mel, really didn't sit well with me. She always seems unhappy and displeased. You rarely ever see her smile. This scene was one of the few times she actually looked happy. The old piper was serious when need be, but also fun and kind. This Piper just seems unsure and unfun, she almost always has a serious or confused or even scowling expression.
I grew up with the original, and I usually appreciate reboots, but this one was really so embarrassing. I'm really happy is over. I just really hope new generation watched or will watch the original, cuz it worths it.
Nothing can replace the O.G period.
They should have had Shannon Doherty appear, first in ghost form, then solid to psychokenetically close the door, while Macy appeared and also did the magic door close with her

Like Brad Kern not keeping his agreement with Holly splitting holding the BOS every 6 months they'd rotate their turns. He kept it himself. Plus the other stuff. If the two Charmed shows did connect, the girls would've met adult Wyatt and adult Chris. Not Prue, Piper, Pheobe, or Paige. Prue died already, Pheobe and Paige got married and moved out, and there would be a bunch of kids in the house with elderly Piper and elderly Leo. It wouldn't make sense to connect the two shows

Nobody ever mentions how in the pilot episode when Harry first showed them the book of Shadows they opened it to a page on Melinda Warren, the OG Charmed One’s first witch ancestor and apparently also theirs. The drawing in the book also looked just like the actress who played Melinda in the OG charmed episode in season one when they summoned her spirit
Following the intrusion, the true charmed sisters, the Halliwells, apprehend the intruders, vanquish them and send them to the underworld where these frauds belong. All is right with the world again.

It would be amazing for charmed fans but it's not going to happen......holly marie combs is the only one I think I that would be down but Alyssa milano or rose McGowan did part with the franchise on good terms this why we never saw them in any of the past 3 seasons of the new franchise......I loved this show as a young adult and love watching the old episodes but charmed first started having trouble when shannen Doherty ( prue) wanted more money and they fired her and then rose McGowan became the new sister......I know this is long 😂 but just wanted to share some things on this iconic show that we all have come to love whether your a new or old fan......1 more thing 🤭 how the show should have been portrayed is it should have pick up with the last charmed ones kids taking the torch and picking up where the original 3 sisters left off, them creating new charmed ones basically watered the show down and made it very basic the only great part about the new show is how they made it more woke with the society we live in now that made the show worth watching because everyone could see someone like themselves portrayed on the show.

However, it doesn't mean that they had to be evil... it could be that the trio's power was harmful to them or that... who knows, maybe it was precisely because of misandry that the project was rejected. Besides, it's not as if the Halliwell sisters were a shining example of goodness.
This show had its moments, but they tried too hard to the OG show, and stole so much from it. I stopped watching before Macy died because it just got so stupid, but ending it this way was a slap in the face to the original show.
I dont know how to feel about this ending, I really wish they hadn't linked the shows, the reboot should have been its own thing because in the original, the Power Of Three was a destined prophecy of a powerful family line of witches where a trio of biological witch sisters from this powerful family line would become the Charmed Ones, the most powerful witches in the world, it was special, there was only one Power of Three. In the reboot there are multiple Charmed Ones, alot of witches from different and multiple family lines who didn't have to be biological sisters or related to each other what so ever had the title and literally anyone can be a Charmed One. While Macy, Mel and Maggie were biological witch sisters, Kaela is a trans witch, not even born a witch, she isn't Macy, Mel and Maggie's biological sister and she was made into a witch after Macy's death. While the idea is original from the OG show it also makes the Power of Three feel less special if literally anyone can just have it, now because of these two different storylines how can the reboot Charmed Ones (where there are multiple Charmed Ones) be where the OG Charmed Ones (who are the only Charmed Ones tht exist) are? The only way I can explain it in my mind is that the Reboot Charmed Ones went to the reality where the OG Charmed Ones are, like a Multiverse or a Earth 1, Earth 2 situation, I like the idea but I don't love it, it was wonderful to see the OG house but I still wish they had keeped the shows apart.
Do not worry, just take it that they are going to see their predecessors, their ancestors, besides they have lived their lives and battled threats in their own universe. Who is to say that it would not be fun to peek into another universe. The new Charmed series was largely it's own thing.
If they have done this all is well, because I am sure there is a large part of the fan base(myself included) that wonders what a crossover between the two would like.

They linked the shows because people kept complaining about how charmed reboot wasn’t like the og charmed and how the reboot sucked so they just gave us this ending so that everyone would be happy or sth like that
It is a multiverse situation here. Diana told Harry she was from a different world/universe that had Charmed ones, and one of them had created the store Diana was stuck in with all the video tapes. So when they went through that door, they were going to a different earth/universe where the OG Charmed ones existed. To me, I didn't really care for the end cause I didn't want to see just the house. If they're going to try to connect the two shows, I wanted to see at least one of the characters from the other show. Even if it's just their kids. I would have been happy seeing Wyatt or Chris open the front door, but just seeing the house and none of the OG characters, I didn't care about.
I would have preferred if they ended it by doing a time jump and showing us future Mel with her kid. She was pregnant last season with her future kid, I want to know what happened to the kid, who's her partner in the future, and who did she have a kid with? Wish they would have answered these questions instead. Also, I don't think this was the original ending they meant to have for the show. It felt too rushed. Inara forgiving her sisters and the three of them sacrificing themselves to save the world happened way too quickly. I'm thinking they probably ended the season on a cliffhanger originally, but then when they found out the show was going to be canceled, they changed the ending to try to wrap up all the loose ends and this was the best they could do with the short amount of time they had. It's not terrible, but I definitely think they could have done better, if they had more time. I don't blame the writers or actors for this, I blame whoever is in charge of the network and decided to cancel the show just when it was getting really good. They ruined what could have been a really great ending.

I was a huge Charmed fan in the early 2000’s, but I couldn’t get into this new series. It was too boring starting out, and it had too much of a fake like Disney channel teeny bopper vibe. It would have been so much better if they had made the new series about Piper, Phoebe and Paige’s grandkids or something and referenced them in the show. Just something more closer to what the original Charmed was actually about.
I love how they tied it to the original Charmed show. They did talk about different worlds in the old show. OMG im still trying to figure out what really is the next step. I was always wondering why Prue never visited them, their mom and grams did. Now I get it...she never died ...shes in a different world and probably got a new set of sisters. I love the Original Charmed ones and will continue to support any new ones. Most of you did not get the message of this season...."We cannot bring them all back but we can make what we have right here better" and learn to let go and move on. My fave character is Josefina I love her.
Well no disrespect but a lot of us the original fans of the original show likes original show better I have checked out a few episodes of the show and I try to give it a chance I’m still trying to give it a chance so I still try to check it out and I still try to watch it on Netflix and I’ll try to get into it cause I love charm so much but I really can’t get into it as much as original charm and that’s just how I feel and I think a lot of people feel the same way but I’m not dissing other people that like the show it’s just that that’s why my opinion and I just can’t get into it not that someone give me a chance like I’ve watched a few episodes like I just watched it I think maybe five or six episodes and I still really can’t get into it but I’ll still try to watch some more and maybe I’ll get more into it I don’t know and I’ll try to watch some clips on TH-cam to try to get into it because I’ve always loved charmed but I think I’ll always be stuck in stick to the original I just wish they did a shout with the kids divisional kids on charmed Also there is my prudent revisiting is the actor that played through didn’t get along with the cast members so they were never been able to have her visit anyway I’m just saying unless they would’ve had a re-caster

Prue never visited because the actress wouldn't return even for just one episode or a slight appearance. That's why they had grams say they weren't ready to see her, to give us a reason we'd never see Prue again.

I watched the OG later than most as I was just a baby when the show premiered so I only got around to watching it in 2014/2015 as a teenager when I discovered it on Netflix. (I was so mad when they took it off but I had been able to watch all the seasons twice before they took it off.) When a new version was announced I was excited because I thought it would be a sequel with the next-gen kids. I was hoping it would be them growing up magical instead of them being all grown already.) Instead of either of those, I learned it was a remake and wasn't impressed. I have nothing against the cast but the show itself didn't hold a candle to the original. I did watch all the season but only because it'd always come back once I had finished the newest seasons of my other shows and so I'd need something to watch. I also watched it with my mom so there was that reason to, to spend time with her. She watched the OG later than I did though had watched a few episodes years before I had. I had only been ten back then and wasn't allowed to watch it with her. (I was a scaredy cat growing up.) My first problem is the sisters had identical personalities. In the OG each sister had a distinctive personality allowing them to react differently to the same situation. That was much more interesting. My second problem was there were too many first-world problems. Now don't get me wrong. Black lives matter, equality, lgbt+ rights, all of that stuff is important but it has its time and place and in my opinion, doesn't belong in a show about magic. My third problem is the lack of species. Okay, the last season fixed this but before then there were basically just witches, whitelighters, demons. That was it. Only one episode with trolls/leprechauns/fairies excetra before the last season. And it was only at the end of the episode. My fourth problem is there were no kids. I loved having Wyatt and Chris added to the show, loved seeing the sisters have more kids in that "future" ending scene. But this version doesn't have any, we didn't even get to meet Mel's baby. There were no flashbacks, no kids who needed help, nothing. I enjoyed the occasional child who needed magical assistance in the OG, loved the flashbacks, and how adorable are kids with magical powers? My fifth problem was there weren't that many humorous scenes. Like funny one-liners, jokes, or just funny mishaps and accidents. The show was a little too serious. My last problem is it copied a lot of plots from the OG. Like the whitelighter falling in love with one of the sisters.

My guess is that they probably wouldn't have been able to afford any of the actors. So, we would have gotten teenage versions of Piper's kids interacting with them next season had it aired with them claiming that the Charmed ones are off on another plane of existence fighting. MAYBE they could have gotten a ghost Prue. However, HMC has very much made it clear she hates this show and concept. AM would be the most expensive. RM is not mentally well. So... MAYBE they would be able to nab Shannon and even then Idk considering Shannon and Holly are very close friends (not that it stopped Holly from appearing with AM after Shannon was fired). I guess we will never know and honestly never watched the reboot. Maybe I'll try now but I was more mad that they were Witches living in Michigan since I have a life long novel of Witches from Michigan than them rebooting the series. Petty but yeah lol

The layout looks different because the original show was filmed on a set on a sound stage. Look for a clip or pictures of the charmed set and you'll see what I mean. This is the actual house used for exterior shots of the original show and has always had that wall. The layout that you're talking about was a set on a sound stage. The set was also created to replicate on some level, this actual house's design elements but the layout in this house is the original and the show was filmed on a set. The house has not gone under any changes to look the way it does niw. It has always been this way and the wall was built when the house was built. This house was built by the Innes family. Nothing about it has changed. You're just looking at the set and thinking that it's the real house, but its not. Again, only the exterior / outside shots of this house were used in the original show. The house's layout on the original show is a set. Google it if you don't believe what I'm telling you.

The truth is who ever planned that this is the way they were gonna go with the series ruined a legacy.
Like there was soo much they could have done.

The thing is I liked the reboot of the charmed series it had real potential to be something spectacular but the writers and the showrunners kind of sabotaged it even though some of them was on the original show. then you had the debacle with one of the actress leaving the show that was the missing sister then the debacle with the next charm that they had to find after everything turned out with that weird storyline. I get why they didn't renew them even though the CW was going in another direction with their programming.

Ironically Combs hated the reboot and wanted the Brad Kern treatment of writing, But she recently revealed after Doriety left because of Milano The network blackmailed her into not leaving Charmed with Doriety by saying any job she tried to get after they'd make sure she would get lower wages. So Combs was stuck the remaining 5 seasons with no choice.

You're definitely not a real charmed fan, cause that is the actual house in Echo Park, LA. The interiors you see in OG charmed is filmed in the sets of Warner Brothers, including the attic. They only used B-rolls and filmed outside when they need to. The only time they really filmed in the actual house was PILOT s01x01, with alyssa or without alyssa (the previous phoebe). You will know cause when Prue opened that door, its the stair to the second floor, in the set of charmed it is a long hall way, then stairs.

Thank you to the CW for bringing Charmed for a second revival. This show got me through the covid19 pandemic. I pray that Netflix will save Charmed for a 5th season and so on. I'll miss Macy, Mel, Maggie, and Mikaela.

I asked my coworker/professor at Deck Nine what is happening with all of the CW shows. He told me Discovery purchased Warner Bros., and they are merging into Warner Bros. Discovery. This is why 90% of the CW shows are being cancelled right now. It is disappointing. I suspect Superman & Lois and Stargirl will continue, which is good.
This is why the 4th season is only 13 episodes and was so rushed. All of CW the shows got Kuboed. If you don't know what Kubo'd is, Tite Kubo is the manga creator of the Bleach anime series. Near the end of his Thousand Year Blood War arc chapters, his health was not doing well because of all the writing and drawing, and the Shonen media people were forcing him to finish it up quick. So his story was rushed and cut off at a bad time. At least this is what the rumors are of what happened.
I agree, I prefer the original, but the reboot is not bad and it was just starting to get really good. I feel like they canceled it right when it was getting to it's peak and that sucks. It would be great if Netflix could pick it up cause some of the Netflix writers are great! The did an amazing job when they picked up Lucifer.

I'm glad this show is finished - it doesn't hold a candle to the original. Such a shame, I was really looking forwards to seeing what they will do in a reboot - and it's just fallen into the trap of all reboots in this past decade. Nothing original, trying to shove down the same ideas - the OG had so much actual charm, and the sisters were each different and likeable. It's sad to think it will be another 20 years now that we can wait for another reboot.
See, that just feels kinda cheap? Like the ending that Charmed (1998) had felt like such a closure and homecoming of all the seasons, this kinda feels like they didn't have a strong enough ending on Charmed (2018)'s own merit, you know?

I think the next season was suppose to be a crossover but they couldn't get the OG to renew their characters. Either cause of fight between OG charmed VS new charmed. or cause of fight between shannon holly and rose VS Alyssa. So they ended it at the manner. The next season never happened.
Next season would of been 7 or 8 witches trying to protect charmed multiverse by defending source charmed earth. piper and paige from EARTH 1 PRUE from EARTH 2 and maybe phoebe if Alyssa is willing to work with shannon holly and rose without the drama. Mel maggie and kaela from EARTH 3 and MACY from EARTH 4.
7 or 8 witches teaming up against demon of fear the source zancu and evil charmed ones and evil elders like the one who wanted to kill a baby. every demon that came close to defeating the charmed ones and evey demon that keeps coming back.
Basically 7 or 8 witches against an army of the most powerful and dangerous demons they ever encountered.
And then Piper blow them up for trasspassing.

perhaps the original charmed ones passed away of old age and they was there to take their place bc according to this show there has been other charmed ones that was killed or died
i've not watched any of this series, i tried to and i hated it, but they should have had a piper cameo here, she should have answered the door
