It’s so sad how Dreamworks gave up the idea of giving this movie sequels because it flopped the year it came out, because it’s actually a book series and it could have become one of their best franchises

Jack frost is a really dark and depressing character the more you think about it. He died in the ice as a teenager and was revived as a ghost no one can see. And he had no memory of who he was because the man in the moon Wouldn't tell him anything about his past. Jack spent 300 years alone with no friends or family.
One of my favorite headcannons is that Jamie is a descendant of Jack's sister. Thats why there was such a connection before Jamie truly believed and could see Jack.

I think Pitch should have become a guardian by the end bc he had legitimate reasons. He felt like he didn't belong and that is why he could relate to Jack so much. In the end, Jack was allowed to define his "center" and become a guardian but the villain wasn't afforded the same courtesy only bc his center was a negative emotion. Fears can teach you a lot about yourself and especially in dreams: nightmares are a way for your brain to process negative emotions. Pitch is just as necessary for children as the other guardians... why couldn't the movie teach that (feel your fears, understand them, but don't let them paralyze you) instead of a classic good guys defeat bad guy ending?
It's a missed opportunity I think, but I still enjoyed the movie anyways :)

Pitch could become a guardian, if he embraced his true center that builds children's inner power of bravery and determination. But he chose not to.
That's the difference between Jack and Pitch. Jack could have rejected fun and turned his heart to ice.
The guardians' gifts can cause pain, death and suffering.
North's opposite center would punish the children for every misstep they took, shattering their wonder. Why wonder if all you are is naughty?
E. Aster's opposite center is despair in all things that could be lost and can never return. Why have hope if even god's son is dead?
Sandy's opposite center would create rejection of dreams, not just in sleep. Why dream if it always becomes a nightmare?
Tooth's opposite center dwells only in painful memories, like toothache and the dentist. Why remember if all you can recall is pain?
Pitch's center is bravery and it appears when you face your fears (as the kids did in the finale). But unlike the kids, he rejected it because his own fear overwhelmed him and he chose cowardice.
Read the books, they kinda explain why he is the way he is

Jack also put children in dangerous situations carelessly and careless fun is dangerous, doesn't protect the children, etc. BUT then again, screw being a Guardian because it's a terrible gig since the moment people stop believing in you you start dying so becoming a Guardian is genuinely the dumbest thing a spirit can do.
So, on second thought, don't become a Guardian, Pitch, become your own awesome spirit of fear.
Personally I feel like this *✨IS✨* a Christmas movie… and also Easter and any other holiday movie.

Rise of the Guardians takes place around Easter: but it does have Santa (“North”), and lots of ice and snow. So- not necessarily a Christmas movie per se, but if someone wants to watch it for the holidays, I won’t argue!

The movie's good but the book series that this is based off of is a million times better. Each book of the series focuses on the origins of each of the guardians and there's tons of characters and plot that just aren't there. This totally should have been a 5 movie franchise.

Well considering the whole movie takes place after Christmas and during/just before Easter, i’d say it’s safe to call it a holiday movie :)

Grew up watching this and love it also it's technically an Easter movie not a Christmas movie also I believe Jack frost is actually Jamie's uncle since hacks sister lived on and he see's his sister in Jamie plus Jamie looks like his sister a bit that's probably his nephew also the town Jamie and his friends live in is probably the same village jack came from when he was human but also the one he found when he woke up in the beginning

Rise Of the Brave Tangled Dragons was, and still is, the first crossover I ever got into! I'm actually directing/scoring/adding sound effects to the ROTBTD fanfilm, B4: Guardians! It was started in 2013, and it's just now reaching the foley/scoring/animation stage.

Rise of the Guardians takes place right before Easter, so technically not Christmas but we got santa so it's okay.
They knew what they were doing when they designed Jack Frost for sure. 10 year old me was absolutely in love, and 21 year old me still thinks he's hot. Man's is 300 years old, which means he still looks like that now.
Also I have thoughts that if they decide to make a second one they need to make Pitch not a bad guy, because fear isn't all bad, Its what makes us run from a scary animal or drop something on fire, not eat food that looks like it could be dangerous, so if they do make a second one I want him to be not redeemed because he's definitely not a good guy, there are unwarranted fears, that's what phobia's are, so I think if we do that he can become someone that they have to work with. I want someone like Jack, someone who inspires confidence and joy in others but can be very bad, because when your confident you dont see the dangers and we need Pitch to teach them that a little bit of fear is good.
Interesting thoughts about Pitch.
Knowing his backstory from the books, I doubt any of the Guardians, _especially_ E. Aster Bunnymund or the Man in the Moon, would ever want to work alongside Pitch in any capacity, due to some serious personal baggage that both Bunny and MiM have with him. (And Tooth, North, and Sandy haven’t had great experiences with him either.)
If they somehow found a way to heal Pitch and bring back the man he used to be, I could see that being interesting, and a way for the Guardians to learn lessons from that, but I don’t see it being a likely course for a sequel to take. It would also be cool if a sequel film would introduce Pitch’s daughter (Emily Jane, aka Mother Nature) and their complicated relationship.
Anyway, needless to say, the fear Pitch currently wields isn’t used to teach lessons about being properly cautious or to help people face their fears and learn to be brave. It’s not a healthy application of fear to fuel a survival instinct. It’s purely used to hurt, corrupt, terrify, and destroy, because it comes from a corrupted source, not from Pitch’s true center. A little fear can be good, but that’s not what Pitch represents.
You should check out a Muppets Christmas Carol! It’s an older movie and possibly the best version of A Christmas Carol ever made

Jude Law has been in Gattaca and Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald (or however the movie's titled), I believe, among other things. Oh, and I think he might've been Hook in a live action Peter Pan movie, but I can't remember, and don't think I've ever watched the movie, and Holmes in Sherlock Holmes (the movie version, with RDJ as Sherlock). That last one and the first one are the only ones I've seen besides this one that had Jude Law in them, but like, his performances in all of these are pretty good, and I don't want that to be ruined.
Pitch Black ASMR sounds like a good idea until you realise he'd probably turn that voice against you and scare you shitless by the end of that session.

I think you can probably tell that my favourite character in this movie was Pitch, followed by Jack, Tooth and Bunny. Jack got done dirty by the moon, Tooth... I think she needs to learn personal space and not to punch down but up but other than that is sweet, Bunny is fun and his aversion to the cold is a mood... but yeah, I just feel like Pitch brings all the vibes.
