HEY YOU yeah I noticed that,, 2:30 Lynch trying to calm the crowd with the Jedi Master hand waves lol,, and that ridiculous crown - didn't this "king of invincible Germany" pay Lynch a million bucks for the "title" of king of Germany?
The context of this video is that it was announcing a program to create a large permanent group of meditators who would bring "invincibility" to Germany. THat is the term used by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, speaking in English to Americans, and had nothing to do with Germany. That some German was oblivious to the connotations of creating "Invincible Germany" when speaking to Germans is not really a reflection on TM, but on the German for not thinking through his own presentation when speaking in German and English to fellow Germans.
I could be wrong about Lynch's intentions, but I believe that He is very genuine and a kind, loving person. He has benefited from TM and wants to spread those benefits to others. That being said, the business of TM from the beginning has been filled with charlatans and cult leaders and Lynch has naively surrounded himself with and vouched for many of them.
I partly agree with you, but I don't think these leaders are charlatans. They are part of a movement about a technique that is wisely grounded in religion: the origin of TM comes from practices that are part of the Hindu religion, the mantras - originally - are evocations to some entities. What Maharishi did - and was criticized for that too - is to take the TM out of the religion conception and propagate it as a neurocientifical practice. So this practically religious involvement of these parts with the technique comes, in my opinion, from a reverence for the tradition that gave rise to it. One or the other of them can act or say some questionable things, but I really think their desire and objective is lawful.
@@redpillmatrix3046 Transcendental Meditation (capitalized as it is an organization) has been shown to have no greater health effects than slightly lowering blood pressure (as all meditation does by virtue of making you sit still for a while). Everyone involved in TM is either an idiot being scammed, or a smart cynical person using it for social/financial/tax avoidance reasons. I kind of hope David Lynch is the smart cynical type.
TM has changed my life for the better but I agree this doesn't look good, I think David Lynch's project is a good one. I have no problem with them charging money for courses and teaching, we pay for teachers in academic education so why not? We pay for weapons of mass destruction and armies through our taxes and I would prefer to not do that but have no choice, with this I choose. It was a one off payment to learn and its cheaper and better than private therapy which didn't work for me and cost a fortune. Nobody calls the military or therapists a cult ! Our inner lives are not catered for in education and we have lived through constant war for hundreds of years, it is time to do it privately and that's David Lynch's goal and I think its a noble one.
The military and therapists provide you with a clear doctrine of what you are getting into , depending on the school of thought / organisation . TM practitioners regularly lie about their history, their founder and the effectiveness of the approach. All of that is fine , until you classify this as “education” for vulnerable young minds. To use that argument is like saying I’m a serial killer , but an army marksman has killed several people , but no one calls him a serial killer ! Not again TM’ers are Serial killers , just making a similar point .
@@petelewis7313well there are a lot of money and sex scandals in the therapeutic world and the military has a lot of dark things as well. So I wouldn't say that they are 100 % clear about their doctrine.
Thank you for showing the German reaction to this very brainwashed member of TM. Same reaction to Tom Cruise and his Scientology-gobbledygook. Tom Cruise should go on tour with this TM "King" of Germany.
I hope nobody thinks it’s coincidental that this cult decided to build their HQ hub on a place called Devil’s Mountain??? Like hellooooo it doesn’t get more obvious then a neon sign lol 🤣
Too bad!! I was starting to get into transcendental meditation but David Lynch ruined it for me lol. He has to be a fraud. They want to build a Mornon/Catholic church and put all that money that could go into helping people. This typically is screaming scam and cult
@@667damien Ya I really liked David. It was a big let down when I seen the video. If I remember right the guys from the band LIVE are big into TM. I will check out the info you sent me. I appreciate it a lot. I'm fascinated by how the mind reacts at times when meditating. Or straight clean DMT. I have an older friend that has spent years meditating. He went to the strictest meditation retreats meditating for a month. He lived in southern India. He taught me about the "Om mani padme hum". Created in Tibet i think it is. I will look it all up. Thanks for caring enough to send me the info. Lets keep in touch.
I don't think we have to judge Lynch's art by the fact that he's a victim of a cult, he can be both a talented artist and a genuinely confused and victimized person. I can name dozens if not hundreds of artists similarly afflicted with dangerous magical thinking that leads to associations with clearly disturbed and harmful people, especially in LA of all places.
I hope Lynch finds a way out of the cult. Nothing wrong with spirituality, but you don't need hierarchy, authority or gurus to discover the spiritual. Seeing Lynch being so vulnerable to abuse by a guru is honestly very sad.
Notice David Lynch trying to calm people with the Jedi finger movements? This guy was really something else
