Very good rugby player and excellent athlete .Hes also probably the most professional and likable bloke in the debacle that is The Welsh Rugby Union....The only guy there that I have any sort of respect for .
Walker was lightning, he must have been the fastest guy in union at his time. I know Brendon Mullen of Ireland as a 100m hurdler so quick and there was another freight train at Leicester ( not Underwood) who was insanely quick, but I can’t ever remember anyone getting close to Nigel.
Jeff Wilson was as at least fast, and probably had slightly better acceleration. I started watching Cardiff regularly in 1993, and it was a pleasure to watch Walker improve his reading of the game, running lines, and footwork. By the end he was a devastating attacking player. Such a shame that injury ended his career.

Nigel walker was a semi finalist in the 110m hurdles in the Olympics. His PB for 100m was 10.44 (not wind assisted).
