Joe Stanley returned the favour not long after
That injury to tuigamala destroyed his all black career
Gareth ress is easily one of the best kickers canada have had for a while along with bobby ross, two absolute legends, and great coaches
Also played in the NRL for Cronulla .
Great game of rugby.
Brian Williams (again) in that first maul!!! The man was phenomenal.
Cut the sound when Ponty run out, what a knob
Great rugby and not a TMO in sight??? Miss those days.
Robert Jones was a quality 9
Guscott refused to wear 13 so him and Carking have swapped numbers
Well done you Welsh boyos.
England line outs rubbish
A great club, wales finest. 🖤
him!
What a great sport prior to money ruining it.
Rory Underwood what a speed demon
Sick of SA posturing fans with their “we’re tougher that you” childishness…there is nothing between the teams in terms of physicality…Gibb got the momentum on du Randt and it told. Du Randt was one hell of a player. Two magnificent players and we’re blessed to see them in their prime.
Double miss move at 12:20. My old club used that one plenty of times. Bath: no #13. #16 full back.
Most bias commentators in the world!!! Asholes!!
I was at the game and returned to the stadium a week or so later to watch the HC final between Munster and Biarritz. That game was a dull game, Munster won with a conservative, percentage game. The Ponty- Neath match had so much more flair and endevour. As a Ponty fan , great day. But how good were Neath!
Bring these tours back , I watched every game it was a great tour could be what our game is missing
The beginning of the professional era.
What a great game that was .. Welsh rugby was tribal and created intensity with proud Welsh towns people coming out in numbers to support their teams.. there was a hardness about Welsh rugby.. the region's alienated Welsh rugby communities like neath Swansea pontypridd etc.
He was always 1st to wave or have a word , very sad loss
When I first came to west Wales Brian wanted to be a Jockey it is incredile how things worked out , a very sad loss HE WAS A SUPER GUY in so many ways Player,. Farmer , Father and A Great Pal. .
My memories were how good we were. Geez how time fools you
Hello sir, do you have the video also Fiji vs Ireland 1985?
He could dish out but could never take it….. hence when he got slapped in town he ran off
dead lucky
Anyone remember BBC saying we are going live to Arms Park and you get the brilliant Bill McClaren for 5mins and all of a sudden they say "And over to our BBC Wales commentary team, Lyn Davies" 😢
When players could play at 100 miles an hour without a waterboy in soght every five minutes
Watching this in early 2024 , calling Regional Rugby ,"Genius", was something to behold.😆😆😆🤣
What year was this?
Ireland scored some great tries here but Scotland had a great team late eighties upto 90
Now that was a proper rugby match. C’mon the Port.
Top class player. Might be an even better bloke.
Professionalism killed the club game in wales
Might be the most underrated Welsh player of all time.
I was there❤
Great days. 🏉
Forward passes as usual.
Joel Dume bless him. Wales usually won when he was in charge. Thirty years ago, Mike Rayer in the mud of Cardiff. Tidy.
He was one of my favourite players....I was a smaller than average prop and I used to think if he could do it at 14 stone so could I......and I did....RIP Brian
the 'centre' they say was not bad was alan bateman , too right he wasnt a bad guy
How did Morris warrant an international jersey?
Ah, my old Llanelli side, a gyd y sylwebu yn Cymraeg, diolch o'r galon am hwn, ychydig iawn, iawm o rugby yn Cymraeg sydd ar You Tube. Oeddwn ni wedi anghofior gem hyn, rhyw 5 plynedd cyn i fi chwarae am Llanelli. I've just realised that you may not read Cymraeg! You've got a fantastic Rugby collection. I love looking back at the 80's and 90's rygby before the whole mess of Professionalism and the regions ruined Welsh Rygby (in my opinion). Ymlaen Cymru! 😄👍👍🏉☮
I was there that day
Little smile from Nugget about Clive Woodward's comment about coaches sticking with players they know. I was a big fan of Neal Back but by the time of the Lion's tour to NZ, he was past his best and had had little rugby due to suspensions and injuries whereas Martyn Williams- a like for like player, who had recently won 'player of 6 N's '- fair play tho' - retrospective view and England back row that won World Cup were awesome :)
Both 1st and 2nd tests were immense. The 1997 Lions did perform beyond expectations! Great squad, Great coaching, Great result!
With decent kicking from SA, BL would have never won this second test…
@@annefilippobertozzi7601 True. But we still hadn't learned in 1997, that having a kicker on the field is vital! The B & I Lions had the brilliant Jenkins, he killed us! That Lions squad was full of characters!
Would you have the full match ?
